I'm not even hurt or upset. Frankly I'm just offended.

So I moved, right?

My mom and I were both going to go back down to Fresno for my birthday weekend. Which is next weekend. We were thinking of hanging out/going out to eat, w/e. I'm not looking for an amazing one. Just thought dinner with family would be nice. lol

Plus last weekend we went down to clean my dad's house (totally disgusting, he never cleans) so my sister could move in for a bit. She's there now.

He's had this work event coming up for his company. You know? Where you bring your family and eat stuff and w/e. It's at a park in Fresno.

So he's had weeks to tell us...Didn't say a word all weekend last time. Didn't say anything until we mentioned coming down for my bday, today. But then he does "well, your sister and I are going to this work event, you can come along if you want?" And then something about going out to dinner afterward. lol

Wow, I'm an afterthought! I didn't just fucking clean your house, dad. I don't deserve maybe a little notice or you taking time out for one day for my bday. Thanks!

The thing is, I'm not surprised he pulled this, I'm just surprised wht it was this time. I was fully expecting him to say "well I'm bowling so we can eat after." or maybe try to shove in a dinner before his bowling.

That's fine. he bowls 6 days a week, for hours. He prioritizes it. Used to that.

But some little work event thing he can't even invite me ahead of time or think that maybe my bday is coming up. He has to play dumb, and as a result, show me how little he cares and how insignificant he thinks I am. I don't think I am.

It's just shit like this, man. This is what my family has always done. lol
