- SRW LP possibilities
- Most interest:
- J: I have no objections to finishing my LP in the slightest, I simply worry that the wind has been taken out of its sails.
- R: As I've stated, this might be the simplest to do since the menus at least are clear. And I have vague ideas of a wierd-ass plot I can hodge-podge together.
- Routes: 2 very similar characters, 1 robot
- OG1/OG2/OGs/OGG: The most familiar of the games, which can be done straight, or with crazy SRWQ shenanigans. Using the PS2 versions would possibly make the plot change easier to do, if I wanted that. And it'd look prettier.
- 2 Characters (OG1 only)
- Compact 3: Folka Goodness? Delicious Escaflowne and Betterman? This game has possibilities, even if it is one of the more primitive.
- 1 Route AFAIK
- Alpha 2: A possibility, though not sure which route I could ruin worst with my ramblings.
- Routes: 4
- Alpha 3: The same, but with SEED.
- Routes 4
- GC/XO: Looks fairly standard, with a set of blank-slate originals I might be able to make something of.
- Routes: I beleive theres a male and female pilot and super and real robots
- L: Whats that? Playable Hilde that I can partner with Duo? Don't mind if I do. Shame about the generic protagonist thought...Or might that pay off?
- Routes: 1
- Average:
- 64: Not sure anything stands out about it. I'm not sure who's route I'd do though.
- Routes: 2 Real and 2 Super.
- Neo: Again, nothing special.
- Routes: 1
- W: Looks fairly standard, but with fixed protagonists. It has all the wonderful broken cast members, and hey, if I do make up my own plot, it really can be Voltron.
- Routes: 1
- Less Interest: Mechanics
- 4/EX/F/FFinal: It unlikely you'd want to see these older games, if nothing else because you like me to be sane. I beat SRW 3 by the skin of my teeth and I consider getting the standard ending more than enough of a trophy. Not sure I want to relive the experience.
- Routes: Real and Super, 6 characters.
- A: The portable version has the big advantage of looking nice, but still, are you expecting me to Silly Axel my way through things? Even with a game as cheaty as this?
- Routes: 2 characters, 4 (or was it 5) robots
- Less Interest: Originals
- Compact 1: Eh, nothign special here, except I'm not really sure how a Wonderswan works.
- Routes: Unknown, but theres no original character.
- Compact 2/Impact: Not sure if a slobberknocker like this is the best option, even if it does have Dangaioh in it. Also, it'd be hard to rewrite any plots when I've played OG2, so I'd really just be doing the actual plot and hoping I don't get it wrong.
- Routes: 1 AFAIK
- Shin: Looks fairly harmless, but again the 'I know the SRX plot' issue comes up.
- Routes: 1 AFAIK
- MX: Nothing really to report here, looks harmless enough.
- Routes: 1 AFAIK
- Z: Similar to Alphas. I am intruiged by possibilities of a Squad System, so I'll have to see. Definitely would be against Setsuko route though.
- Routes: 2, but I'd rather avoid one of them altogether.
- Basically it depends on the LP style: Whether you want well-researched Canon Plot, working-from-memory-and-supposition Canon Plot, Make-Shit-Up Plot, SRWQ/Crossover Fanwank Plot, or whatever.
