The Tree, maybe

Some kind of sentient plant, probably a woody plant of some sort, likely a tree. It is either advanced bio-technology, or it is being harnessed/controlled/harvested by/with advanced technology. Maybe both. It may have been created (or harnessed) by an ancient advanced civilization, or an advanced future civilization, or possibly even an alien civilization. It may originate from a different universe. Either the ancient civilization fell, or it was sent back in time, or it ended up on Earth somehow (maybe the alien civilization fell), and it has been discovered by the modern-day human civilization of Earth (they may be are probably experimenting on it), or else it is in the future and being used/experimented on by the future Earth civilization that discovered/created/harnessed it. It may have caused the fall of the civilization that originally discovered/created/harnessed it. It produces energy, or is a source of energy, or it creates batteries and/or fuel (maybe its sap is fuel and/or maybe its fruits are fuel and/or batteries). It hates. What does it hate? It hates people, or humans, or life, or animals, or this entire reality. It should not be here. It should not be. Maybe it originated from an ancient Predecessor/Forerunner race that fucked up (Sealed Evil In A Can?). It wants to kill. Kill what? Kill us. There is something about crystals. Maybe it has crystals in or on it? As part of it? Growing from it? Maybe the crystals are fuel/batteries? Maybe its fruit are crystals. There is something about souls, too. Maybe they are the energy source? Maybe it can steal them? Maybe both? Maybe the souls are a red herring. Maybe it has nothing to do with souls. Maybe it contains the soul of someone or something. (Someone evil? Something hateful? A killer?)

A: A tree. A bad tree. A strange and alien tree. The Tree. The Tree? The Tree. The Tree should not be. Maybe it is the Tree of Life or the Tree of Knowledge (of Good and Evil?).

A: Not sure. It knows things. More things than it should. It can hear and feel, maybe smell. Maybe see, somehow.

A: Not sure. Maybe it influences thoughts. Maybe this is meta.

Q: Where does The Tree come from?
A: It was created by an ancient advanced alien civilization, which no longer exists. It was sealed away or stored or imprisoned or hidden or something somewhere on Earth. In modern times, someone or someones found it. Now they are experimenting on it. It should not be here.

Q: What happened to them?
A: Maybe The Tree killed them. Maybe they died to stop it? Or to seal it away? Maybe something else.

Q: Stop it?
A: The Tree might be a prison, or might be imprisoning something. Maybe a soul. Maybe the soul of something or someone terrible. There is at least something about souls, I think. Maybe it steals souls. Maybe souls are the power source. Maybe some combination of the above?

Q: What can it do?
A: Something. I think it can grow.

Q: Grow what?
A: Wood or crystals or something. But that is not all. I do not know the rest. The crystals or spikes or something (maybe they are one in the same) might steal souls.

Q: Is this a conversation between two individuals or an internal dialogue?
A: I do not know. Maybe both. Maybe neither.

Q: Where did this idea come from?
A: Maybe the Sentient Telescope? Maybe the Dinosaur watching the Meteor Fall. Maybe the God that Hates Everyone? Maybe even the Banana Farm? There is a clock and a plant and a bucket of batteries and a bucket of dead batteries in the room. I think it might be an SCP, or from an SCP. SCPs influenced it, probably. Especially the Hateful Star. Elves may have had an influence too.
