- “I’m Getting Closer” Edition
- --Miles “Tails” Prower, Sonic Adventure 2, 2001
- Hey guys, how’s it goin?
- It was way overdue, but I finally improved my Pokemon Puzzle Challenge Intense mode time. I went from 37 seconds behind world record to just one second behind, though the total in game time was three seconds faster. Can’t tell if it’s rounding differences or GBP to 3DS differences, but don’t care. I’m still going to work to beat that time before moving on to something else. I’m not sure what’s next, though, because Monty went and beat my Pokemon Puzzle League Hard mode time for some reason. I was planning on Game Boy Tetris Attack next. I guess I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.
- In other stream news, I did write a clarification in my donation incentives (https://pastebin.com/QhF4qTGL) explaining that when you donate for a full game playthrough, you are donating for me to beat the game (any%), not complete it (100%). I call this the “Tetrisphere Rule” because
- 1. The game has multiple modes that can be beaten; and
- 2. The highest levels of the game are torture and no longer fun to play.
- Any thoughts I expressed previously of speedrunning Tetrisphere are now dead to me. Everything in that game is either too easy, too hard, or too long. There’s not enough of a learning curve to allow me to get into the flow of the game naturally. It’s eating at me physically and mentally at this point.
- I don’t actually have much else to talk about because the rest of my free time has been consumed playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links. I hope that this is the last time that I inundate these weekly updates with that detail. It’s become part of the daily routine and I’ll leave it at that.
- That’s my life story for the week. Until next time, everyone, thanks for reading!
