time starts at power on, ends at the jingle that plays when you receive the Quartz Charm

THIS IS NOT A POSTGAME ROUTE! the run is over when you defeat culex as quickly as possible. the 4 crystals die when he does.

you have a bunch of options for this route

1) ROUTE FOR PPL WHO ARE VERY VERY CONFIDENT IN SUPER JUMPS

	[LEVELUPS]
		- SP only on Mario
		- HP only on Bowser
		- Geno and Mallow and Peach unchanged from any%



	EVERYTHING BEFORE SEASIDE MENU:

		exactly the same as any% except:

			- buy 6 honey syrups in mushroom kingdom
			- ignore all frog coins after Midas River - NO WIGGLER JUMPS
			- frog coin shop: buy 3 energizers (Bowyer, Croco, Johnny), no sleepy bombs
				- can also use 3rd one on punch and hope for freebie
			- if you are VERY GOOD at moleville star, go for 10 bombs. will make midgame faster
			- sell flower box and get shiny stone as soon as moleville snifit cutscene ends
			- skip booster pass
			- in phase 2 of kalimari, use jump instead of mario physical
			- in final phase of kalimari, timed attack with geno instead of defending

		get lots of flowers!!!


	SEASIDE MENU

		do not get EXP booster
		sell: everything you normally would, EXCEPT keep at least 1 energizer if you have one and 1 honey syrup (youre also missing a flower box and kerokerocola)
		buy: 4 ice bombs (ants), 7 fire bombs (kali+reds+yaridovich), 3 fright bombs(yarid x2 + belome), 1 bad mushroom

		if you do NOT have an energizer, do safety ring menu:
			-swap bowser with peach
			-equip safety ring on peach

		geno will bomb the bandana reds

		do not do equip swap menu after bandana reds

		peach: ice bomb if you freebied it on yaridovich, shocker otherwise
		mario: 61 super jumps if peach used ice bomb, 62 otherwise



	MONSTRO TOWN

		get ss/as



	CULEX: - need 25 flowers

		9 super jumps (207) / untimed boost mario / red essence mario
		100 super jump (1948) (defend/defend)
		100 super jump (1948)
		defend until crystals explode

*****you can't afford to drop super jumps on johnny in this route.







2) ROUTE FOR PPL WHO CAN SUPER JUMP BUT THINK THEY HAVE A HIGH CHANCE OF DROPPING

	if you're not confident nailing 100 on johnny on your first try, either save before fish hallway and try again or just do the regular any% route up until monstro town and backtrack for the shiny stone. you can get some coin chests in sunken ship and/or belome temple and buy some maple syrups from sea shaman. attempt super jumps on culex until one of you dies, go for as many SJs in mario's first turn (before crystals appear) as you can. make sure to pick up the red essence in land's end







3) ROUTE FOR PPL WHO CANNOT SUPER JUMP AT ALL

	you can also take some liberty with DAing (https://sites.google.com/site/supermariorpgspeedruns/techniques/misc-info#TOC-Death-Abuse)
		[6:05 PM] Beetlemania champion: if you can't do sj for culex race, you can do death abuse as many times as you want
		[6:05 PM] Beetlemania champion: +can farm RCs in seaside town too
		[6:07 PM] Beetlemania champion: and I'd recommend to put safety ring on peach and amulet on geno. So that peach can revive geno and he can boost her right after shredder
		[6:09 PM] Beetlemania champion: culex's attack is still dick move though. try to defend if you can. (he? always moves after yellow crystal)
		[6:20 PM] Beetlemania champion: oh death abuse will be much meaningless once character becomes 20. status boost will be narfed by much in 21-30

	you also have the option, if you just want to finish, to keep going with the NSS route up until end of nimbus land, but get the lazy shell (normally you do not get this in NSS).

	to farm rock candies: after yaridovich, go to leftmost door of rightmost building in seaside town and buy a lot of mushrooms, then go to middle door and mash A on mushroom boy to give him the mushrooms, some of the mushrooms will give you rock candy
