  1. 'Sup, doods!
  2.
  3. I have spent my entire weekend making a proper spreadsheet to track performance in the upcoming monthly Tetris Attack tournaments. My head has been spinning in the presence of more if-then statements than I've dealt with in quite some time. Will tiebreakers matter in these early tournaments? Not likely, but I would like to get them right for when they actually matter. It's just one of the many things I have to put together for this Saturday's first monthly tournament.
  4.
  5. I am hoping to practice more frequently to do better in the qualifying, but I've got a whole laundry list of things to get done before I can up the streaming guilt free. The list is always here. At this pace, the list will remain here for the rest of the year. It helps give me a reminder that I can always do more for the content. The one thing I can control in this wacky entertainment space is my effort and I made my 2024 Year of Doing declaration to remember to up my effort.
  6.
  7. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get further cross-eyed in my spreadsheets that I need to ready. How many more if-then statements must I nest before the leaderboard is complete?

  10. Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals:
  11.
  12. Goal #1: update tournament graphics for this weekend's matches.
  13. Goal #3: create the leaderboard for the major championship standings. I've created a backend—mostly, I still need to make an index of everyone's head to head records when that becomes relevant.
  14. Goal #4: compute everyone's precise tournament winnings and process payouts.
  15. Goal #5a: clean up my hard drive because it almost filled up from the tournaments.
  16. Goal #5b: finalize the tournament layout once and for all in a way that I can adapt for the Pokemon Puzzle League tournaments.
  17. Goal #6: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts left to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. Getting back to this will be easier once the workflow for the monthly tournaments is finalized.
  18. Goal #7a: clean up my own stream layout. Most of the framework necessary for a semi-proper stream is done now thanks to streaming the process. Next objective is to make transitions and alerts.
  19. Goal #7b: catch up on video archives that I have yet to upload since I restarted streaming.
  20. Goal #8: release the Puzzle League tutorial series YouTube shorts once a day until they're all done. I really do think I need to time the release of the series with a ramping up of my streaming schedule so that I can take advantage of whatever there is to gain from releasing the shorts.
  21.
  22. This week's schedule:
  23. Friday @ 9pm-1am EST – Friday Night Salt Mines – Ready for The First Monthly Edition, Doods!
  24.
  25.
  26. That’s my life story for the week. Until next time, everyone, be decent to each other. Later, doods!
