- The Legend of Zelda 2D Relay race May 2019 - Runner Information
- This message is the technical setup information for the runners in the 2D Zelda relay. Please do not distribute this outside of the set of runners/commentators.
- Preparing your stream.
- Your stream should be 1280x720 resolution at either 30 or 60 fps. The bitrate should at most be 1500, and where possible, more than 500. You should be streaming the game only in its native aspect ratio. Please do not stretch the game away from this. For all games that aren't 16:9 this means your game should be centered in the window with black bars on the left and right. For the 3DS run only the relevant screen should be streamed. Please be sure to center your game as best as possible within the boundaries. Please set your twitch to low latency streaming.
- For Audio, please stream only the game audio, not your microphone or any other desktop sounds (such as commentary). Instructions for how to do this can be found in the google doc below (the doc is from the FF relay, but the same setup applies):
- During the event.
- When your run is coming up, please be available approximately 30 minutes before you expect to start, so that we have time to make sure everything is working before your run. When the start of your run is nearing (previous runner on the final boss), you will need to be in the live channel on the discord server (See commentary information for details), and either the runner before you on your team, or one of the commentators will tell you to start your run. From that point on, you can choose to either help with commentary, listen and not talk, or be in a separate channel which we will have up for the runners, where you can talk to each other during your run if you so feel like.
- During your run, you may occasionally need to announce when the splits for your run happen, although you can delegate this to the commentators if you wish.
- When the end of your run is coming up, you will be moved back into the live channel, so that you can tell the runner after you to start their run when you are finished.
