- A single save file takes 313 kb of space. You can only have one save
file per memory card, and save files cannot be copied or moved. If you
switch memory cards mid-game, the game will refuse to save.
- The game does not keep track of your play time.
- Just like in SS2, completing the game gives you access to Advance Mode.
It all works pretty much the same way (although since xp scaling is back,
leveling up on Normal won't remain feasible).
- Physical damage is roughly (ATP/3 - c*DFP/6)etrn.
 c: Critical hit roll (1, 0)
 e: Elemental resistance multiplier ((100 - EDF)/50)
 t: Type modifier (Undead, Flying)
 r: Random variable
 n: Curse multiplier (2)
- The magical damage you deal is roughly (MAT/4)ern. Base MAT is Int/2.
When using Link Skills, the MAT of both characters is combined.
- The magical damage you receive is roughly (MAT/3)ern.
- Your characters natively take double damage from all elemental attacks.
- Level up: 1 HP, 1 MP, 3 CP, 1 SP.
- Coins: Bronze: 1 G, Silver: 10 G, Gold: 100 G, Plat: 500 G
- Coins disappear after about 13 seconds.
- Healing items:

- You can carry up to 150 different items. Usable items and materials
stack up to 9. There is no storage.
- You can't access your inventory during a mission.
- Exp is scaled. Once a character is more than 9 levels higher than the
enemy, they will only gain 1 xp from them (drops by 10% per level).
- When a character dies, they lose 10% of the Exp they've gained towards
the next level.
- When the character you control dies, you'll be taken back to Yuushatei
and lose all the money you picked up. When this happens or you leave,
a checkpoint is created allowing you to resume from the last area you
reached. The checkpoint will disappear if or when you start another
mission even if it's in a different world or on a different difficulty
level.
- When you move to the next area during a mission, both characters are
fully healed.
- Each character only has one weapon in the sense that the weapon they
start with is the only one they'll get, but you can alter it through
forging. These altered forms exist in four tiers. You can change the
weapon's form between the ones within that tier or you can upgrade it
to the next tier, but you can't go back to a lower tier. To create
tier 3 and 4 forms, Xion must have reached Lv20 and 40 respectively
Some forms, such as Elwyn's Hissatsu no Yumi, require Lv50. While there
are many enemies that are weak to two of the three elements, I would
still strongly recommend sticking to non-elemental forms.
- Helmets have a Str and/or Mag requirement, body armor has Dex and/or Vit.
- Helmets have a MAT modifier and body armor has a Movement Rate modifier.
- The highest numeric modifier possible is +15.
- ID price: 25% of buying price
- UnID sell price: 0,16 x ID price (4% of buying price)
- Base sell price: 20% of buying price
- Unlike in SS2, you can safely ID all items without ending up broke.
- You are forced to use Xion as the controlled character in every
mission you take in the "real world." The mirror in Yuushatei allows
you to move between the real world and the mirror world. In the mirror
world, you can replay main missions, and you're free to choose any
character as the controlled character. As always, I do so recommend
trying different characters. I prefer to use Mao myself.
- You can use the right analog stick to move the AI controlled character.
You need to learn to move both characters at the same time, as the AI
is not able to keep up well at all.
- The last hit of Xion's 3-hit combo changes depending on the second
character.
- I (at least try to) take out tougher enemies by sniping them with
Elwyn. This involves positioning the player character so that the enemy
is off-screen, but close enough to take damage. The results may vary.
At best, they'll just stand there until they're dead. Even if that
doesn't happen, you're unlikely to draw the attention of the whole
group. This still provides quite an advantage, as it allows you to
avoid painful gangbangs. You should also push Elwyn away from the enemy.
- Your charge will not be interrupted if you're hit while charging,
although you can lose the charge if you release Circle just as you
flinch. The charge attack itself won't be interrupted either.
- I don't really use charge attacks much when using Xion. When using
Mao, I'll use Kunainage if the enemy insists on keeping a little distance
or if the enemy is out of melee reach due to a chasm. Elwyn's Rensha is
okay up until she runs out of MP, which happens very quickly, so, no,
I don't put any points into it. As for Link Skills, I mainly use Multishot
for the purpose of provoking the enemy or opening distant chests.
- You can increase skill levels above level 10 in Advance Mode. The
returns are *very* diminished, however.
- Charm returns, but it's not that useful anymore.
- You can increase damage substantially by inflicting Curse with the
help of the Gosunkugi accessory.
 × Enemy types immune to Curse: Creepers, Kodai Heiki, Colossi.
- Slow is another useful status ailment, as it allows you to further
capitalize Elwyn's ranged attacks. The best way to inflict Slow is to
wear a Stage Dress. You can create them starting from the beginning
of the game, but you won't be able to equip them until much later.
- Undead enemies won't actually die properly unless you're equipped
with a Holy Bracelet or use Ryuuna's Turn Undead  Otherwise, they'll
return to animation either on their own or with the help of a necromancer.
They will eventually die for good if you kill them 3 times.
- Don't forget that you can instantly access the city map from the menu.
- Monster Cards return. The drop rate feels about the same, although
common enemies come in larger numbers, so that makes things easier.
Either way, it's actually possible to permanently miss certain cards
because of Side Missions (which you might end up missing) and Free
Missions (most of which you only ever have access to during a limited
time window). Getting cards will be much easier once you have the Tenkuu
no Medal, which dramatically increases card drop rate.
- You can now equip a card as an accessory to halve the damage you
receive from that enemy.
- If you use Andy Yu's guide, note that he's got the Magic and DFP
figures mixed up for Advance Mode enemies.
- The loading times may test your patience, but it's *nothing* compared
to the constant disc grinding noise, present even outside of loading
screens. It might not be that bad depending on the model of the console,
but if it is, it will drive you fucking insane. I myself place a cardboard
box on the PS2 to *slightly* alleviate the issue (one side is cut off,
so the heat doesn't build up). If you can avoid the issue by playing
the game in a less legitimate way, do it.
- Character affinity goes up when you complete a mission with said
character (+1) and goes down if the character dies.
- Reputation is a hidden value that affects a few things.
 × Rep goes up when you complete a mission in the real world.
  × 1 | Monster Hunt
  × 3 | Runegeist weeding, F10
  × 2 | City invasion, Creeper weeding
  × Side Missions give the most rep, while the main missions don't seem
  to give you any.
 × Rep goes down when you leave a mission (whether it's through dying
 or by choice) or abort a mission (by getting rid of the checkpoint)
 in the real world.
  × Aborting city invasion missions incurs no penalty.
  × Aborting Tenkuu no Tou gives you +2.
  × Aborting some missions will not give you a penalty if you abort
  them by starting a mission in the mirror world or Tenkuu no Tou.
 × Rep is capped by story progress.

	About Side Missions and Free Missions

- Side Missions are technically optional, but become mandatory once
triggered. The requirements for triggering Side Missions involve affinity
values or reputation values (as seen above).
- You can only get two of S1, S2 and S3 on one playthrough / difficulty
level. S2 is the least important one, card-wise. If you already got S1
and S3 on Normal, you might as well get S2 on Advance.
- Free Missions have no requirements, but they will not become available
in the mirror world.
- At most, there are four Free Missions available, one of which is
always Monster Hunt.
- At most, only two of F2, F3, F4 and F5 are available at the same time.
Completing one opens up one of the unavailable ones (it's random).


	Shildia

    Yuusha Kouji
- Base of operations
- Item shop, ID shop, armor shop
- The guy standing outside Yuushatei (Bengal) will tell you your reputation
title. He'll give you some rewards for reaching certain titles:
 × Megami no Namida (Tayori ni naru Yatsura)
 × Mushakabuto (Muteki no Mosatachi)
 × Heartful Station (Shildia no Mamorigami)
- Occasionally, you'll find a hidden item at the end of the docks
(eg. Yakusou).
 × Hidden items will produce a flash when you move past a certain spot
 nearby.

    Promenade
- Weaponsmith
- Second item shop and armor shop

    Yamanekodoori
- The bard here will give you one of the bird accessories once he's
finished writing a song. You need to complete missions for him to do so.
His progress is capped by story progress.
- You can play a simple game with one of the NPCs where you bet 100 G
and try to guess whether a coin flip will come up heads or tails. If
you win, you can quit or go double or nothing.

    Kajiyadoori
- Armor blacksmith

    Dwarf no Doukutsu
- Hidden item: Mithril. There are three possible spots, but I don't think
there can be more than one at a time.

    Choujin no Shuuraku
- One of the NPCs here will trade Mithril for other materials.
- Another NPC will eventually give you the (Koukyuu) Kung Fu Jacket

    Seirei no Mori
- An NPC here will give you items.
- A second appraiser can be found here when your rep title is Muteki
no Mosatachi or higher. Her ID price is 90% of what the other one's is.
