I want to blame a book that whoever opened in the library about young budding romance. Ah, I don't know why my heart is racing still, even though I already retreated to Work Room and help with food preparation out of spite. I need to get my mind out of the gutter. Well, not exactly a gutter!

The usual kind Shiho didn't bother to ask. Kirara is somewhat giggling when she caught a glimpse of me. Mio only shot me with a knowing look. The dinner prep was eventful and quiet at the same time, only the voices of us chopping ingredients or pan sizzling.

Then-

"Yuki? Are you there?"

Rena called me, I was in the middle of plating so I can't really answer her. Shiho pointed to my direction, though, so Rena approached me on the prep table.

"Oh, omelette, guess Hiori-san and Utsubo-san would be happy tonight." Rena hovered around me, checking on the plate. I could feel her breath on my neck and I yelped.

"S-sorry, was I too close?"

I turned to mouth a 'yes', and try to focus back on plating. Rena, seemingly understood how I was immersed in my job, scurried away from Work Room.

"Oho, it's rare for you to drive her out, Yuki-san." Kirara said, her smile was a bit impish.

"Well, I'm busy! Mou!"

There was a soft laugh coming from Mio, "You were red all day but you are all smiling, though. Did something happen?"

I shrieked, "Eh? Ah, n-nothing! I just read some books, and-"

"-And?"

"N-Never mind! I'm, those books don't make me to thinking on kissing Rena anyway!"

It seems that I dug a hole or two that Shiho was staring at me, beet red with mouth hanging open. Kirara tidied the sink, pretended she heard nothing. Mio felt partly guilty from taking the words out of me and she apologized.

"... Do I need to say that I'm still here?"

Rena was standing by the door, peeking in Work Room. I can catch a glimpse of her red ears. Ouch.

-Alright! I-I'm ignoring everyone for today, including Rena. W-Whatever! [ ]
