  1. >”Good morning sheriff”
  2. “Good morning, sir, how are you?”
  3. >”i’m very good, thank you, but i find myself a little curious as to why the sheriff is visiting”
  4. “I’m just here for a little chat. Do you mind if i come in? It’s a little cold outside”
  5. >”...sure. Come in. Would you like some coffee? It should be warm from the breakfast still”
  6. “No thank you. I just want to talk for a few minutes. Can we sit down”
  7.
  8. >Both you and his talking pattern is very stale
  9. >Polite, professional, but very cold
  10. >Much too cold
  11. >the 1911 on his left hip drawn your eyes a few times
  12. >Is that how you end?
  13. >one of the first four rounds of .45 in that magazine?
  14. >Where did Annie go?
  15. >The other woman?
  16.
  17. “My name is William Johnson. Bill to you”
  18. >”Good morning Bill, my name is Anon. Can I help you with anything?”
  19. >”I'm not sure. There was an incident at a gas station some way from here a few days ago, maybe you can help?”
  20.
  21. >You narrow your eyes at the man
  22. >does he know to much?
  23.
  24. ”It seems I have hit a sore spot”
  25.
  26. >He can draw his gun faster than you are
  27. >Where the hell is Annie?
  28.
  29. “Anon, I was to make it very clear to you-”
  30.
  31. >Your heart is racing
  32. >Your blood pressure is spiking
  33. >You are likely sweating as well
  34. “-that I mean no harm to you, or the tall russian woman that likely is having a gun pointed at me as we speak. I've had two of mine taken from me aswell”
  35. >”What?”
  36. “The white Econoline with rust by the filler cap, video footage from the gas station…”
  37. >”I have no idea where you are going with this”
  38. “That… exactly that should you say to anyone that asks. Anon, almost 2300 firearms that was meant for destruction disappeared overnight. Among those, most likely one select fire AKM. That belonged to me, before my wife learned she could get 2450 dollars if she handed it over to a police station. And when I said “it” I mean “she””.
  39. >”Oh… So, you're not here to…”
  40. “No. And even if I had those intentions, I doubt I could. Because my pistol is actually trembling. Vibrating. You wouldn't know why?”
  41. >”Maybe I do, maybe I don't”
  42. “Again, good answer. What are you planning to do with them?”
  43. >”Return to previous owners. If they want”
  44. “If that is the case… My department will do everything we officially can do to help you. First of all, car. You can't drive the van, and just the GTO would be conspicuous”
  45.
  46. >The man hands you a business card
  47. >for a used cars salesman
  48. >It had a classic Chevelle on it
  49. >A name, a phone number, email address, and a place
  50.
  51. >”Yeah, my budget is a little tight at the moment”
  52. ”Don't think I'm the only one they have pissed off. Do you really plan on returning them?”
  53. >Yeah. That's the plan”
  54. >”Good. Call that number and speak to Ritchie. Tell him you have a black GTO. He will help you”
  55.
  56. >The man raises his voice
  57.
  58. “And whoever is doing that to my poor little handgun, please stop”
  59. >Annie comes around a corner with a firm grip on an early model M60 in a low ready position
  60.
  61. I should trust you why?
  62.
  63. >Her voice made it very obvious she was not in a playing mood
  64.
  65. “Would I be able to fire my gun even if I wanted?”
  66. Unlikely. But I am not much for taking chances
  67. “If she comes out and shows herself, would it put you at ease?”
  68. Unlikely to show herself anytime soon
  69. >”Annie, I think we can trust him”
  70. Are you sure?
  71. >”He sounds pissed off enough to help criminals”
  72. I’m afraid i will not trust him like that. Not in our current situation. Sheriff, would you mind if i borrow your gun for a few minutes? I will not harm. Only speak. Just like you. Okay?
  73. “If that will help me get back my friend, of course”
  74.
  75. >The man removes the gun very slowly from his holster with his left hand
  76. >Annie takes it, with remarkable gentleness and walks away, up the stairs
  77.
  78. “She isn’t the petite one…”
  79. >”Wouldn’t like it any other way”
  80. “What is she going to do with my gun?”
  81. >”She is not a fan of hurting people. Nothing more than a talk, to just be sure of what you said. I’m afraid the situation calls for it”
  82. “She is wise to take precautions. Mind if i ask, is she-”
  83. >”Yep”
  84. “Pardon my curiosity, but size wise?”
  85. >”Approaching E cup?”
  86.
  87. >The man looks bewildered
  88. >Until he sees you being unable to keep a straight face
  89. >He joins you in a spot of laughter before getting more serious again
  90.
  91. >”She’s a big girl. I’ll stay with that until i am a little more sure of this arrangement”
  92. “Suppose that is well. Anyway, if we can get along, Ritchie should have two cars for you, whenever you are ready. He is two girls short, by the way. Might have ended up in one of the ones you have. Or one of the others”
  93. >”Others?”
  94. “Not like you were the only ones doing a hit like that”
  95. >”And you offer a hand and cars to all people who steal guns?”
  96. “Nope. Just the ones that return them”
  97. >You sit and chat idly for some time
  98. >It’s still very stale, but is lightened up a little towards the end
  99. >As long as you can steer the discussion to cars you have an okay chance of being social
  100. >20 min later Annie returns
  101. >Smiling
  102.
  103. Thank you very much, William. We will do what we can to get your friend back.
  104.
  105. >She hold the pistol in both hands
  106. >Holding them out in front of her, and returning it to the sheriff
  107. >The takes the gun, with a somewhat confused look and puts it back in its holster
  108.
  109. And she may be a little thirsty. Give her some water when she comes home, will you?
  110. “Why is the gun warm?”
  111. She got a little emotional. Such a pretty story you had. I promise we will return your dear friend if we have her here
  112.
  113. >The man looks worried
  114. >And then back to professional
  115. >He thanks for for the time here, walks back to his cruiser and stuffs the shotgun back inside
  116. >then, He waves and drives off
  117.
  118. >”Annie, what did you do to the pistol”
  119. Nothing
  120. >”He looked concerned and scared”
  121. It was nothing
  122. >”It was warm. Was that its own warmth or yours?
  123. Mine
  124. >”So when she changes-”
  125. She will remember me fondly
  126. >”For fucks sake Annie…”
  127. Shh… it’s okay. It’s not like i hurt her or anything
  128. >”But you scarred her for life?”
  129. I’d say the opposite
  130. >”I think what you have done now is either sexual harassment or rape”
  131. I was very gentle. Besides, it’s not like she didn’t like it
  132. >You sigh heavily, knowing Annie has forever ruined yet another gun
  133. >The plan was to clean up after breakfast, but there was an almost chubby M60
  134. >She did look a little nervous and claimed the Headmistress told her to clean up the table
  135. >For the first time in your life you decide you’ve had quite enough with guns for one day
  136. >You had the fortune of having your computer with you, that… godfuckingdamnit no internet
  137. >Maybe the car could use a little clean up?
  138. >Down two stairs, leave the building and into the garage
  139. >And there it is
  140. >The GTO
  141. >And yeah, maybe the interior could use a little vacuuming and general cleaning up
  142. >That was the project for the day
  143. >Clean the car
  144.
  145. >You have a high pressure washer
  146. >The shampoo
  147. >The wax
  148. >All the tools, and sponges and wipes and the vacuum
  149. >You were going to have all day with the car, and then it would be all shiny and-
  150.
  151. AAAAAANON!!
  152.
  153. >”augh...yes Annie, what is it?”
  154. I spoke to Ritchie!
  155. >”What? Now?
  156. Yes!
  157. >“Weren’t we supposed to speak with all of them first?”
  158. Yes! But, i got excited, so i called
  159. >”...”
  160. But he has two cars for us!
  161. >”What?”
  162. Yes. We just drive down to his place, and drive home with two new cars!
  163. >”Okay, great. But there is only two of us, and that would mean we have to go-”
  164.
  165. >The M60 peeks out behind Annie
  166.
  167. “I can drive a car, Mister”
  168. >”That’s great, for another day because that would take us too much time to drive th-”
  169. Nope! Don’t worry! I’ve arranged for him to stay until we get there!
  170. >”Today!?”
  171. Yes. And our little Doll has packed us food for the journey”
  172. >”Seriously?”
  173. Yes! Doll, what have you made for us?
  174. “I have made Sandwiches, several kinds of them. Pepperoni, cheese, ham, some beef and vegetables. All warm and in thermally isolated containers
  175.
  176. >She pats twice at her backpack.
  177. “And for drinks, i have water, some soda, coffee…”
  178. >”I’m not a fan of having bread crumbs in my car”
  179. “We can stop if you’d like, Mister. I have brought a blanket”
  180. >”Okay… So, what’s your name anyway?”
  181. “My name is Doll now”
  182. >”Alright, Doll. Did Annie by any chance convince you of this?”
  183. “Headmistress does not have to convince me of anything. I listen to her”
  184.
  185. >Why is she listening to Annie
  186. >Why is fucking everyone just listening to her. Obeying even?
  187. >Caliber? Because she was 14.5? Physically strong? Obnoxiously charming? Big?
  188. >All of them?
  189. >Annie looks excited
  190. >Her posture, the glimmer in her eyes
  191. >The eagerness of seeing something new
  192. >An adventure
  193. >With you
  194. >And her “friend”, Doll the M60
  195. >At least Doll wouldn’t stir up much trouble
  196. >She had her one argument with Annie
  197. >And she did like a few other, come to realize it wasn’t a good idea at all
  198. >A four hour drive, twice and get two new cars?
  199.
  200. >”Annie, you and your friend are making dinner tonight, yes?”
  201.
  202. >The two of them agree
  203. >You look back at the big Pontiac
  204. >And then back at them
  205. >Annie must have told her to look happy
  206. >And hopeful
  207. >And all those things you hate to step on
  208. >You could sleep for an hour in the back seat
  209. >Then again… that would mean someone else driving your car
  210. >It wouldn’t be that bad, just a roadtrip, in a muscle car with two girls
  211. >What could possibly go wrong?
  212. >Oh, right, women
  213. >This whole “Keep the driver company” and “read the map” thing was out the window
  214. >Because the quickly realize they can sleep
  215. >This irritated you to no end
  216. >how could they just sleep
  217. >If only there was a way to wake someone up in a car
  218. >And then you start grinning like a madman
  219. >A big, mischievous smile
  220. >They were going to hate you for this
  221. >But they started this
  222. >You wanted to stay at home
  223. >But no, roadtrip time!
  224. >You pull over the car as carefully as possible, and start flickering with your phone
  225. >Get off the interstate and… there
  226. >The road it was a little longer, but shorter, dwindling through a wooded area for a few miles
  227. >A curvy, forest road
  228. >You drive along, still smiling like a retard who’s been eating glue
  229. >And off the interstate
  230. >It took a little while to find what you were looking for, but at last, you find the smaller road
  231. >All was prepared
  232. >All engine reading was okay
  233. >You had ¾ of a tank
  234. >The Phone was plugged into the retrofitted aux jack
  235. >The music player was up
  236. >The engine was idling
  237. >You just had to pick song now
  238.
  239. “Mister, where are we?”
  240.
  241. >Doll was awake
  242. >Annie would wake up very soon
  243. >There was no time to be picky
  244. >The list was in alphabetical order, and you were somewhere on “S”
  245. >You hit the phone in the middle of the screen, picking a song at random
  246.
  247. >”Almost there, Doll”
  248.
  249. >A slow, electronic voice starts counting down
  250. >The show is about to begin
  251. >You put first gear in, and listening to the revs climb up
  252. >At 3500 rpm you dump the clutch
  253. >When the tires are confronted with 360 horsepower, they give in and uselessly spin around, creating lots of smoke and a delicious V8 soundtrack
  254. >The song Had picked up in speed immediately and was now challenged the engine in a competition between rpm and bpm
  255.
  256.
  257. Anon, please no!
  258. >Annie has woken up and immediately understood what was going on
  259. >But her pleading was way too late
  260. >The car had started accelerating
  261. >Some quick movement of hand and foot and second gear is in as the man in the stereo had started screaming
  262. >The beat picks up intensity and volume
  263. >The engine responds with screaming all the way through second gear
  264. >And up to third
  265. >Annie’s shrieking only furthers fuels you grin
  266. >Way later than you should, you step hard on the brakes, making the entire car kneel
  267. >A dab on the throttle by your heel and the engine jumps up another 500 rpm, allowing you to slip second in
  268. >First corner, steer in be a little
  269. >Light teasing on the gas sends the rear tires out
  270. >you try hold it at a 30 degree angle with some success
  271. >White smoke is pouring off the rear tires as the big car not very neatly drifts around the right hander
  272. >It almost sounds like the engine bouncing of the rev limiter tries to sing along with the music’s beat
  273. >The GTO slides and screams for another few minutes down the narrow forest road
  274. >Annie’s pleading to stop can’t be heard over the electronic music and the roaring V8
  275. >After 4 minutes and 55 seconds, “Spacelove” comes to an end and you drive the car seriously, for a change
  276.
  277. >Annie is visibly upset with you
  278. >Eyes are narrow
  279. >Lips not smiling
  280. >But her breath was a little short
  281. >Annie didn’t like spirited driving at all
  282. >She enjoyed the big car more as a cruiser
  283. >Not that she was wrong, it was an excellent cruiser, but it was kinda… just seeing half it’s potential
  284. >Doll, however…
  285.
  286. >Her eyes were wide open
  287. >A single tear rolled down her cheek
  288. >Her both hands were on her crotch
  289. >And it seemed like they had some pressure on them…
  290. >”You liked it?”
  291. “T-that…”
  292. >”I think she did”
  293.
  294. >Annie scoffs
  295.
  296. “That~”
  297.
  298. >She had red cheeks
  299. >And is smiling a little too much
  300.
  301. >”Wanna do that again? I have “Heartbeat” coming up next!”
  302.
  303. >Annie turn around and stares at Doll
  304. >You couldn’t see Annie’s face but you had a pretty good idea what she looked like
  305. >Doll tries to get a more serious expression on
  306.
  307. “N-no, mister”
  308. >”Alright, normal driving from now”
  309.
  310. >As Annie says, the Pontiac is a good cruiser
  311. >So you settle down for a slow cruise with some weird music Annie liked to play
  312. >It was… much slower
  313. >Then again, pretty much everything as slower that what you listened to
  314. >And you failed to say no to them eating their sandwiches in the car
  315. >Again
  316. >It was going to be cleaned anyway…
  317. >The clock stops somewhere just about 2:30 PM
  318. >At last the big engine dies down and silence fills the air
  319.
  320. This is so exciting!
  321. >”Just remember, Annie. We need something discrete. V6 Camry will do good. Maybe an Impala with the big eng-
  322. Did you watch Drive again?
  323. >”...”
  324.
  325. >A man exits the building
  326. >Tall guy, thick leather jacket, Open carrying an obscenely large handgun
  327.
  328. “66 GTO… Y’all came faster than i expected”
  329. >”Yeah, well. I work at short notice”
  330. “I hear you people are doing the lord’s work?”
  331. >”Can’t say i am, but some guys seems happy enough for me to keep doing it. By the way, Annie and Doll”
  332. “Pleased to meet y’all. Now, you do your thing, whatever you do, and i’ll give you the tools for that, alright?”
  333. >”Can’t thank you enough for this man”
  334. “Yes you can. Gimmie a number. How many?”
  335. >”That we go out of the trucks… just under 2300”
  336. “Then you go pick out two you want. Anything at all in here, is yours. Even my car if you want”
  337. >”Oh, that wouldn’t be necessary. I’ll take a look around if you don’t mind?”
  338. “Yeah, we cool. Anything you need, you talk to me”
  339. >You walk into the big lot of cars
  340. >Annie immediately finds a red, open top mustang that she is looking with big eyes on
  341. >You have to remind her that it’s important to have a low profile in this
  342. >V6 Camry, Impala, a Fusion maybe… stuff like that
  343. >You stroll around a little and do find yourself that V6 camry
  344. >A green one
  345. >With an automatic gearbox
  346. >You opened the door, and sat inside
  347. >It was so horrifyingly boring…
  348. >But it would serve the purpose wonderfully…
  349. >Were you really going to get a free car and go for a green, automatic Camry?
  350. >You are bored even looking at it
  351.
  352. >And just when you were going to speaking to Richie about bringing it home, Annie strolls by
  353.
  354. >”Find anything?”
  355. Nope, nothing at all, just old 4x4s that way, come with me and we’ll look in the-
  356. >”Annie, why are you talking really fast?”
  357. I’m just excited to go look over there, with you~
  358. >”You know what, i’m gonna look at those 4x4s…”
  359.
  360. >Annie buries her face in her hands
  361.
  362. “Headmistress, what is it?”
  363. You know how he said we were going to be discrete?
  364. “Yes, Headmistress”
  365.
  366. >Annie was going to say something, but the two of them was interrupted by your shouting
  367.
  368. >”HOLY SHIT THEY HAVE AN UNMOLESTED SUPRA”
  369.
  370. "What is he saying, Headmistress?"
  371.
  372. >Annie just sighs
  373. “What is he talking about, Headmistress?”
  374. He has found a car
  375. “But there are many cars here…”
  376. Yes there are. And don’t you even dare ask him why that is a good car, because you will get a 45 minu-
  377.
  378. >”It has twin turbos!”
  379.
  380. You see, Doll… Anon gets like this sometimes. He was like this with me in the beginning. He still is, sometimes. And he is so lovely when he is…
  381.
  382. >Annie walks in a minute later, starting at the blue GT car
  383.
  384. So this is a Supra?
  385. >”Yes it is! 1998 Mk 4 Toyota supra”
  386. Anon, it has a wing
  387. >”Yes, so?”
  388. You said we should be discrete!
  389. >”This is basically exactly the same car as the Camry. A 6 cylinder Toyota with 4 seats
  390. Camry does not have a wing
  391. >”You can remove the wing if you want to”
  392. How many miles?
  393. >”Just over 110 000”
  394. The Camry had only 65 000!
  395. >”Don’t worry, i know how to take care of a car”
  396. What i say here isn’t gonna matter much, is it?
  397. >”....No, not really”
  398. Do you mind awfully if i go and look in some stores with Doll?
  399. >”Fine, i suppose. But remember, just cash”
  400. I know Anon
  401.
  402. >Annie leans in and kisses you on the cheek before taking Doll along to the GTO
  403. >You are left to look at the Supra for some time
  404. >Were you really going to not take it if you got the chance?
  405. >You walk away from the glittering blue Supra to look for other things that might fit the bill
  406. >An hour and a half later, you have two papers signed and stand with two not-new shiny cars
  407. >Annie returns a few minutes later
  408. >She looks at the cars, somewhat confused
  409. >Doll half and half stumbles out of the Pontiac
  410. >Her face is pale and have “fear” written all over it
  411. >You open your mouth to inquire
  412. >But you figure this is gonna be something Annie said to her
  413. >And it’s gonna take her half an hour to explain, it will make perfect sense to her, and you would be even more confused
  414. >”You two look like you’ve had fun”
  415.
  416. >Annie looks at Doll, smiling
  417. >Doll on the other hand look like she has seen another war
  418.
  419. “Y-yes mister, we’ve had fun”
  420. It’s true, Anon! She is a natural at carrying bags!
  421.
  422. >Annie is smiling like mad
  423.
  424. >”Aren’t you supposed to be the big one?”
  425. I am the one in charge. Correct, Doll?
  426. “C-correct”
  427. “Correct, Headmistress!”
  428. >”You guys are… Anyway, we are taking these two babies home with us”
  429. No Supra?
  430. >”No… No Supra. That thing was a god damn unicorn. They are all stanced or riced to shit today, but this one was still pure. But as you said, it is a little too conspicuous for this. Especially parked next to GTO. It’s gonna look like a new Fast and furious movie”
  431. So, instead, you have?
  432. >”This here is an old Bmw, an E34. It has a dent here and there, but the drivetrain is good. And it gets almost as much power as the GTO”
  433. And the Camry
  434. >”Yeah… basically the same, right?”
  435.
  436. >You fake a smile and try to conceal the fact you’re a little sad about the Supra
  437. >Your little group say your thanks to Richie and the convoy hits the road
  438. >The Bmw would most likely be the most mechanically unstable so you get behind the wheel of that one
  439. >But it seems like it was a good one, properly taken care about
  440. >The drive home wasn’t very eventful
  441. >But it was dark since long when you arrived at the big house with 2300 guns in it
  442. >Annie puts Doll to work in the kitchen right away while you flicker through the TV while trying to get an internet connection with the phone
  443. >Success was… limited
  444. >Now when your phone was reduced to something you can just make calls with, you toss it aside
  445. >One would think being in a house with this many guns would be nice
  446. >But, as much as touching one in the wrong way would lead to jealousy
  447. >Probably
  448. >At least Annie was her calm and stable self
  449. >Well… calm and stable
  450. >Annie was Annie
  451. >You zone out pretty heavily as you idly flip through the channels
  452. >they were all shit
  453. >no motorsport
  454. >no shitty cop shows
  455. >no cheap sitcoms
  456. >no explosions
  457.
  458. >Not before long a big woman slips down in the couch next you and pecks you on the cheek
  459.
  460. You seem concerned?
  461.
  462. >She seems to be as concerned as she thinks you are
  463. >Concerned about you
  464.
  465. >”Concerned? I suppose so. We have to start with the interviews tomorrow i think”
  466. How are you planning to do that?
  467. >”Start interviewing i guess. First car leaves as soon as we have 4 or 5 somewhat close to each other. Sounds good?”
  468. Sure. But… why are we alone here. The people that went with us in the raid? why did they leave?
  469. >”It’s for a few weeks. Remember Jonas? The guy in blue team that i teased about his car?”
  470. Yes… that barbeque last summer? The man you had a knife fight with?
  471. >”Yeah! Exactly!”
  472.
  473. >You laugh a little to yourself, laughing at all the crazy shit you have been through with him
  474.
  475. And you are friends?
  476. >”Yeah, of course. That guy is like my brother. Point being, he’s gonna get up here next wednesday i believe”
  477. And he will drive too?
  478. >”Yeah, he will. But for the next… uh… 10 or 11 days, we’re on our own”
  479.
  480. >Annie doesn’t respond
  481. >She just gets a little tighter grip on you
  482. >Holding you close
  483. >You run your fingers through the magic black hair
  484. >It was truly amazing color. Almost like it absorbed the light in any room she walked in it
  485. >And yet, it had a shiny gloss to it when in the sunlight
  486. >Just slowly running your fingers through it…
  487. >You didn’t notice yourself exhaling
  488. >And maybe you didn’t notice that either, but right now, right here…
  489. >Everything was fine
  490. >You didn’t notice yourself starting to smile either
  491. >But you did
  492. >A smile so warm and sincere...
  493. >Shame no one could see it
  494. “E-excuse me, but dinner is ready”
  495. >”Thanks, Doll. We’ll be right out”
  496. “Yes, mister. I’ll wait for you in here”
  497.
  498. >”...”
  499. Anon, you know i love you…
  500. >”Yes i do, Annie. You tell me every time before going to bed”
  501. But you’ve been strange lately, please if i can do anything to help you, anything at all please tell me
  502. >”I will. I promise. But let’s get some food now”
  503.
  504. >Doll made dinner from some frozen in deer from last season
  505. >The owner of the house was kind enough to leave it in while you were in the house
  506. >With grated potatoes fried veggies and some brown sauce you had issues identifying
  507. >But all in all it was delicious
  508. >Annie might even have said that Doll would make a housewife in no time if she kept cooking like this
  509. >To which Doll blushed so much it was almost audible
  510. >She was still very polite, using titles, never interrupting, and usually being silent unless she had something to say
  511. >It turned out that all hours on the road had turned the lot of you very tired
  512.
  513. >You felt a little bad leaving Annie and Doll with the dishes
  514. >But only a little
  515. >You didn’t do much else that stumble into the shower and then upstairs into bed
  516. >Just off with the clothes and collapse face first into bed
  517. >Much later Annie steps into the bedroom
  518. >She sighs heavily
  519. >A sigh of concern
  520. >She takes care of your clothes, folding away what she deems being reusable and tossing the rest in the laundry basket
  521. >She repeats the process with her own clothes, creating a neat little pile on one of the chairs
  522. >And finally she very gently slides in under the covers and hugs her love tightly
  523.
  524. Just be strong for him now… It will be over soon. I just have to be strong
  525.
  526. >She repeats this mantra a few times over
  527. >She was going to be strong
  528. >Morning breaks many hours later
  529. >Annie wake up from movement in the bed
  530. >She snaps her head towards the movement and shifts around
  531.
  532. >"And you are doing what?"
  533. Taking care of my man. Stay here. I will make breakfast
  534. >"But, Ann-
  535.
  536. >Annie Shift her weight and shuffles up
  537.
  538. You can't speak when you have a facefull of tits
  539. >"Mmmpff!"
  540. I will happily do this all day. But for now, stay in bed. I will make you food, okay?
  541. >"..."
  542.
  543. >Annie shifts her weight back again
  544. >You may be blushing a little bit, but accepts her offer and wait in bed another 20 or so minutes until she returns with a tray with a simple breakfast on
  545. >You let out a little nasal laugh
  546.
  547. >"You're the best, Annie...."
  548. I do what i can. Now eat, dear. Much work today, right?
  549. >"Right..."
  550.
  551. >A few hours later you sit in the same room as when you catalogued them
  552. >The deal was Annie would sit with you for the first few interviews
  553. >Just to see if she was needed more than anything else
  554. >everything was set up
  555. >You had a big map of the country behind you and an ungodly amount of pins to try to mark places out
  556. >Now, the only part left was… where to start?
  557.
  558. >”Annie, where do we start? Something as mundane as numerical order?”
  559. Order is mundane now?
  560. >”Well, if you put it that way…”
  561.
  562. >A few minutes later
  563. >”So, we begin with gun #1 and it’s an… AMD-65, serial ends in 5774. You can change now”
  564. “...”
  565. It’s okay, you are out of danger now. We want to help you
  566.
  567. >She does change after just a little while
  568. >At least the old sofa was a bad place to change
  569. >She quickly pivots her head around, looking for anything at all familiar
  570. >Her appearance is mostly unremarkable
  571. >Dirty blond hair, average length and build
  572. >And… bunny ears?
  573. >She does look very uncomfortable
  574.
  575. >”No need to worry, we wish you no harm. My name is Anon, and this is Annie. You have a name?”
  576.
  577. >She clearly does not trust you
  578. >At all
  579.
  580. >”Okay, i’ll be a little blunt instead. For one reason or another, you were moved away from your home and was taken to a facility with a large hydraulic press. Now, me, Annie and a few friends made sure quite a lot of you got out of that place”
  581.
  582. “W-where am i?”
  583. >”A place far away from watching eyes. Afraid i can’t tell you where exactly”
  584. “w-why… t-they took me away…”
  585.
  586. >She stutters heavily
  587. >She looks scared and alone
  588.
  589. >”You were taken, yes. It’s all right now, you’re among friends. Hey, miss?”
  590. “Y-yes?”
  591. >”See Annie?”
  592.
  593. >Annie looks over at the confused woman, smiles and waves
  594.
  595. “Yes…”
  596. >”She’s like you”
  597.
  598. >For the first time, the woman’s face shifts from something along the lines of “worried” or “scared”
  599. >She now has doubt written all over her face
  600.
  601. “But she is…”
  602. Simonov Anti tank rifle. 1941 model, 14.5mm caliber. But my name is Annie
  603.
  604. >And now the woman looks concerned
  605.
  606. Worry not, Little one. No one here is going to hurt you. Now, i take it you wish to return to home, correct?
  607. “Yes, i do. T-they need me there”
  608.
  609. >Annie smiles again
  610. >She walks up to the big box of tacks and carefully gives it over to the woman
  611. >And then points at the big map
  612. >The shorter woman takes the tack and firmly puts it in place
  613. >One down
  614. >2290 to go
