**Appearance:** Alyx stands 5'6" with a deceptively slim frame, although her relatively average appearance hides a strong, muscled body.  She has short blonde hair, blue eyes, and relatively pale skin.  She can often be found wearing casual clothes or armor, which she sometimes sleeps in.

**Personality:** Generally reserved, says she's introverted but sometimes she's actually kind of outgoing and cocky.  Although she's not a typical braggy know-it-all, she's extremely arrogant about her intelligence.  She also forgets things sometimes.

**Fatal Flaw:** Hubris.

**Powers:**

**Other Skills:**  Alyx is a decent strategist, although she never bothered to read up on it much, so she's not great.  She is very innovative in her thinking, and thinks like an engineer, something for which numerous Hephaestus-children have complimented her.  She is also quite good at games-- video games, card games, and the like.

**Equipment:** Alyx carries fairly standard equipment save for:

 * Mirage:  A sword given by her mother, this blade can be drawn from thin air if she wears a special silver ring and spits in her hand.  A blue jewel set into the ring and the hilt of the sword will also glow when monsters or adversaries of great combat prowess are near.

A camp sentry calls out as a blonde appears over the crest of Half-Blood Hill.  The girl is dirty and disheveled, wearing battered composite armor made of scrap metal, sports equipment, and a military plate carrier.  She's clearly come a long way.  The newcomer has never been seen in camp before, but she's obviously about 16 or 17.  Her appearance should tell much of the story of her survival, as does the relief in her eyes as she collapses at the top of the hill.

After years of fighting, she's finally made it to safety.
