  1. Up the path of the Tarian Mountains does Achyon's forces march with their own prisoner being dragged along. Freezing winds greet them sharply with a severe bite, and even the snow grows thicker and heavier as they move further towards Garljing's Coat.
  2.
  3. Upon the snows of the Fireblooded's Temple lays those seeking to prevent Achyon's rescue attempt. Natasha Vanrouge's sacrifice would take place should Achyon fail, and if the Fireblooded fail? Umbra Cysgol, the holy drakanite, would be murdered in retribution.
  4.
  5. Both sides understand the stakes should either of them fail, with their ally's life hanging in the precarious balance.
  6.
  7. (Introduction RPs followed by matchups! Cap 1 / dangerous!)
  8. [Narrate]
  9.
  10. This was no careless operation.
  11.
  12. If they were to fail, then the Imperial were to die. This outcome was by no means acceptable, and for such a mission, with limited resources, they must bring only field equipment to launch raid hit-and-run attacks.
  13.
  14. A small group,
  15. accompanied by mortars and launchers, manned by simple soldiers.
  16.
  17. The Captain, honed by experience and war, knew that this would be difficult to scale the mountain in such manner; if anything, by the time they arrive their troops could be not only tired, but they might be late.
  18.
  19. Already they're at disadvantage, but..
  20. They will not waver.
  21.
  22. His gaze turns to assess the group of people brought along; all of them capable soldiers in their own right, knowing how to handle themselves in this situation.
  23.
  24. All of them knew what to do.
  25.
  26.
  27. "Soldiers!"
  28. "Sons and daughters of the Empire!"
  29.
  30.
  31. The black lightning gathers- to some, a familiar scent of brimstone and ozone... and it spells trouble. Should Marcel not be on the frontlines, he'll direct the backline support.
  32.
  33. Yet, they'd need his protection.
  34.
  35. "Today, we come against the vile zealots of the mountain!"
  36.
  37. "Make no mistake - these savages cannot be reasoned with. They cannot be put on the right side, so show them no mercy."
  38.
  39. "They would rather worship the slumbering god instead of pursuing progress and the excellence of humanity."
  40.
  41. This is something that they all must know- the similar treatment they are no doubt to receive from the side of their enemy.
  42.
  43. "In their putrid clutches, they hold one of ours - a daughter of the Empire! Your comrade at arms- to some, a close friend."
  44.
  45. "They seek to kill her for their cruel god, and barbarians will stop at nothing to fulfil this petty agenda."
  46.
  47. "But the Empire never leaves their own behind."
  48.
  49. The mortars come to position under the orders of the Captain; their aim is taken- up the hill of the mountains, just slightly higher than the ritual site.
  50.
  51. All to make sure that the charges drop right on their heads; that following smoke will roll down the hill.
  52.
  53. The purpose?
  54. To cover their advance.
  55.
  56.
  57. "This could be any of us."
  58.
  59. "To that end - stop at nothing to fulfil your mission today."
  60.
  61. "For the Empire."
  62.
  63. "Charge!"
  64.
  65.
  66. In the symphony of destruction, the mortars launch a volley of exploding charges at the ritual site; the formation of the Fireblooded is disrupted, perhaps wounding or killing less advanced soldiers in the process.
  67.
  68. All to disrupt the sacrifice ritual.
  69. All to buy them time.
  70.
  71.
  72.
  73. The smoke rolls down the hills, creating a large cover.
  74. Visibility from the mountain's high ground is gone.
  75. They have their chance to strike.
  76.
  77. (Marcel Delisle)
  78.
  79. Marcel v Dorongar
  80. Alexei v Fennel (early match up)
  81. Julian v Spencer
  82. Edingel v Violet
  83. Sanguinius v Leilah
  84. Julius v Caliban
  85. Jun v Hecat -- doesn't count to the score
  86.
  87. CAP 1
  88. DANGEROUS
  89.
  90. If Fireblooded win -- Umbra survives
  91. If Achyon win -- Natasha survives
  92. [Narrate]
  93.
  94. Thunderous march of countless soldiers is heard across the mountain.
  95.
  96. For their attempts to sacrifice one of the Imperial citizens, there would be reckoning unlike any other- their Captain, Marcel Delisle, shouted the order to charge, but when he ensures that the mortar weapon teams are safe..
  97.
  98. There's no reason for him to linger.
  99.
  100. The powerful sword of Primordial God, Vseron, is drawn. Forged for the powerful man of the past- taken by none other than Marcel himself. With ease, he defeats the Fireblooded cultists on his way to find a magi to battle against.
  101.
  102. With ease, they're all put down against him.
  103. No chance.
  104.
  105. Yet, the dangerous man finds his match - the match in face of Dorongar. The sword is raised upon him without a question, his eyes narrowing with certain intent.
  106.
  107. An intent that has taken lives of many before.
  108.
  109. "Stand aside or be culled like the rest."
  110.
  111. This is the only warning he gives. Dorongar has an option to surrender and flee- to no longer participate in the sacrifice of the Fireblooded.
  112.
  113. But if he stays? There will be pain.
  114. (Marcel Delisle)
  115.
  116. Dorongar comes flying with his army, Drakanites carrying humans, Drakanites with their wings and magic preparing to fight and when the order to charge was heard, a smile came across the Drakanites.
  117.
  118. A deafening roar was let out by all of them, Patience is draw while the water from the handle covers his body, tendrils and tentacles of water lashing out against any damn cog in this machine, people are being slaughtered by the man that once was a mercenary and now leads the Fireblooded with others until, he came face to face with Marcel, a worthy opponent.
  119.
  120. "Jormungandr sent another trial."
  121.
  122. He sighs, a lot on his mind as he needs to go back soon, a shake of his head as he slams the blade against the floor, making water appear from beneath the dirt. This is now a part of his arena. Mouths of Dragons made out of water start to appear from the little arena, preparing to take a bite out of Marcel as he dashes in.
  123. (Dorongar Hedor)
  124.
  125. {RP BATTLE} You have WON the battle!
  126.
  127. {RP BATTLE} {INJURY} Dorongar Hedor has rolled 5 for injury!
  128.
  129. {RP BATTLE} {CAPTURE} Dorongar Hedor has rolled 4 for capture!
  130.
  131. Water was never meant to collude with lightning.
  132.
  133. The sheer potential of electricity misfiring against the water-borne magi was all too high, and this is something that he could see for himself- with each time that he'd try to swing against Marcel, he only found himself electrocuted or shredded with vicious winds.
  134.
  135. The Captain did not lie.
  136. He was a threat.
  137.
  138. Perhaps too much for Dorongar to ever truly handle. While blood spills each time that the blade collides with his flesh, the visible barrier of dark, suffocating lightning made it apparent that the damage Marcel took in the process was rather little.
  139.
  140. Especially in comparison for what's to come.
  141.
  142. "Did I not tell you?"
  143.
  144. "You would be culled like the rest."
  145.
  146. Cleaved with the Primordial sword Vseron, and electrocuted by lightning in the manner most brutal.. he was lucky not to fall against the Captain, but where Dorongar tried to close in on Marcel and cleave at him..
  147.
  148. He was punished severely by such lightning.
  149.
  150. Enough to disable and wound him; in this brief exchange, he was struck by a mighty blow. All that he could see are the Captain's gleaming eyes..
  151.
  152. But Marcel was not here to kill him today.
  153. He had a mission to carry out.
  154.
  155.
  156. "Soldiers!"
  157.
  158. "Continue the push!"
  159.
  160.
  161. Leaving him bloodied and hurt in the snow, the Captain carried on with the mission.
  162.
  163. With the purpose of coming here - to rescue someone.
  164. (Marcel Delisle)
  165.
  166. Dorongar, the one that fought two damn dragons but can't fight a Cog, Patience is still unable to deal with her new materials, his very own ability being used against him due to the LUCK of destiny to go against pure Lightning, ah, he never liked it.
  167.
  168. Scales were scattered, burnt and destroyed but fall? He never fell truly, he kept standing, injured, electrified and hurt, in his mind? There isn't anger just a purpose that he failed now.
  169.
  170. He raises his right hand in the air and cuts open his palm, the scent of blood filling the place as the Drakanites fly away with some humans and the blood falls through each crack and scale, a message to Jormungandr himself.
  171.
  172. He's coming even after this.
  173. (Dorongar Hedor)
  174.
  175.
  176. The abomination, Hecaton, retrieves Natasha as most of the Fireblooded and forced to retreat following the Empire's strike, led by Commander Marcel. Meanwhile, the fiancee of Umbra, who's slated to die, is pulled towards his captured lover, Leilah. Perhaps a few defeated magi linger to witness what follows.
  177.
  178. (If you want to leave or retreat you can a-help for a send to spawn)
  179. [Narrate]
  180.
  181. Victorious.
  182.
  183. The Empire would never allow one of their own to die for some forsaken ritual to a petty god, much less allow their enemy to get away with it. Pushing through with the rest of his soldiers and leading the charge, the magi fighting for the Fireblooded are defeated - there would be no overwhelming wave to stop the Captain from reaching captured Natasha.
  184.
  185. "Secure the captive."
  186.
  187. "Bring her out of here."
  188.
  189. Focused on their purpose here- befitting someone who takes the rank of the Imperial Captain. Whether it's one of the magi or simple soldiers that execute Marcel's order, it didn't matter; securing the way out by slaying any Fireblooded cultist coming their way, and practically anyone who dared to participate in the ritual of sacrifice, his stern gaze assessed the situation briefly - if only to see that Natasha was finally extracted.
  190.
  191. Good. Now..
  192. He isn't one for theatrics.
  193. But he is one to send the message.
  194.
  195. "--Bombard the whole area with the mortars as we exit."
  196.
  197. "Kill all of their citizens. Aim at the homes and their sacred sites."
  198.
  199. Nobody gets away with offending the Empire. That message must be made clear- it is almost unfortunate that for an attack with this scale, they could only bring something as 'little' as mortars, and not artillery. The latter would surely result in greater destruction and civil casualties as well. But alas..
  200.
  201. There's only so much they can do until they're forced out by incoming reinforcements. And yet..
  202.
  203.
  204. "Soldiers!"
  205.
  206. "We are victorious. Each one of you has contributed to this victory - and I am immensely proud of you all."
  207.
  208. "Bask in this glory, while the enemy wallows in their defeat."
  209.
  210. "You deserved it."
  211.
  212.
  213. Today, they all deserve to have that much.
  214. (Marcel Delisle)
  215.
  216.
