  ↳ meixing was born in shanghai, china, as the first (and only) child to a businessman and his wife. neither of her parents had been expected to having a baby, so meixing was quite a pleasant surprise. as her father was a businessman, meixing was brought up in luxury, as her father was rich and had money to burn. however, this came with her price. her father was often busy working, usually away from home, so meixing's mother was left to bring up their daughter mostly by herself, and with the help of the nanny. meixing began her schooling in china as a small child, and never had any real troubles. however, she often spent a lot of time with her nanny, as her mother started working longer hours as a secretary. when meixing was eleven, her father was transferred to seoul, south korea for his job, so the family of three picked their lives up and moved. after the move, meixing started having more problems, as she struggled to pick up the language, and was bumped down because she was too far behind the other kids due to not speaking fluent korean. it took meixing a while to adjust to her new life, and catch up to the other students. during this time, meixing became even closer to her mother, who had stopped working, as her husband brought in more than enough income, and she decided she wanted to spend more time with their daughter. so throughout her teenage years, meixing has come to depend on her mother, and actually values her opinion more than anyone else's. meixing is now in high school, and has intentions to become a nurse, despite her father trying to push her in the direction of law. meixing and her father tend to but heads a lot, especially now, as they don't always see eye to eye, and they have different views on what meixing should do with her life, leaving them with a more distant relationship than the one between meixing and her mother.

  ↳ honestly, part of the soulmate bond really pisses her off, since she's basically got her own tattoo without her consent. the words are their, tattooed on her wrist, and she had absolutely no say. but what pisses her off the most is that she seems to keep ending up with ridiculous phrases tattooed on her wrist, and she's starting to see why she hasn't met her soulmate. this time around, she has the words 'ON A SCALE OF ONE TO TEN, HOW BIZARRE WAS THAT BASKETBALL GAME', and she's starting to give up hope, because it isn't exactly a phrase you hear every day (or at all, really). on top of that, she doesn't like playing or watching basketball, which is common knowledge to just about everyone around her, so she doesn't know why anyone would be asking for her opinion of a basketball game that she'd probably never go to anyway (or so she thinks).
  ↳ meixing's also had multiple past lives, all in which she hasn't found her soulmate, so again it is no wonder why she's beginning to wonder if she should just give up, since she's probably never going to find her soulmate at this rate. on top of that, in most some her past lives, meixing hasn't had a soulmate tattoo, yet in most of them, she does. she's spent majority of her lifetimes with  bizarre words printed on her wrist, and never has she been successful in finding him. so naturally, she's feeling disheartened, and doesn't know if she'll even find him in this life time. however, her new soulmate tattoo appeared on her wrist the minute she stepped foot into korea, after moving from china, so she can only guess that he's probably korean, or been living in korea for a while.

  ↳ if there is one thing that can be said about han meixing, it is that she is extremely and undeniably patient. of course, she'd have to be, since she's spent who knows how many life times searching for her soulmate, and has yet to actually come across him. meixing is probably one of the most patient people on the planet, and she never ever seems to lose her cool, not matter what the situation. in fact, she can count on one hand the number of people who have actually seen her completely lose it, because it rarely ever happens. meixing has her emotions under control, and it takes a lot to push her buttons, because she can be so overbearingly patient. this goes with her extremely calm and soft spoken nature. meixing isn't exactly a loud person, which people blame on the fact that she's not native to korea even though her korean is almost flawless to the point it is hard to tell that she is actually a foreigner. however, despite being extremely patient, meixing can hold grudges for a really long time. she's willing to forgive, but she won't necessarily forget about it, and you can bet she'll still remember your third grade embarrassing stories twenty years from now. and she can't guarantee that she'll keep her mouth shut about it if you somehow manage to piss her off (luckily, it's extremely hard to piss her off). meixing is also known to be a pessimist, and never really looks on the bright side. she prefers to claim she is a realist, but she always looks on the down side, and can find a flaw or fault with just about anything, much to the annoyance of other people. she wasn't always like this, but the countless lifetimes without finding her soulmate is beginning to take it's toll on her. on top of this, she can be a bit cynical, and often wonders if she should just give up on soulmates all together. she's sick of waiting for him to come along, not even knowing if she's even going to meet him in this lifetime, but a small part of her refuses to give up. she wants to find and meet her soulmate desperately, she'd just prefer not to have to go through the long process of actually trying to find him, especially not when she's been doing it for what feels like forever. meixing is also very horrible when it comes to technology. she cannot use any piece of technological equipment to save her life, and it really is not funny. she can barely log into her laptop at the best of times, and often tends to forget her passwords, and has to go hunting around for the sticky notes she leaves around the house with the details scrawled across them. she probably shouldn't be left alone around valuable and expensive equipment, because she does tend to get tempted by buttons, and could probably find a way of blowing up everything on a ten mile radius by complete accident. she is also a bit of a neat freak, and is crazy organised. all of her notes are colour coded depended on the subject, her writing utensils are all matching, and her desk at home is always clean, not a single thing out of place. meixing is not a messy person, and has a habit of regularly cleaning her room, because she can't stand unorganised things. some people find this particular trait amusing, while others just find it straight up annoying. she also has killer aegyo, even if she can be a bit reluctant to do it out in public.

  ↳ well, the first time they met was at one of his basketball games. it was just after that game, and his team had won, but the game had been extremely odd, despite being the first game of the season, and for some reason, the opposing team kept fouling themselves, and somehow kept sliding across the floor, yet no one could tell whether they were doing it on purpose or if it was an accident. obviously, that was why he'd voiced his odd statement ("ON A SCALE OF ONE TO TEN, HOW BIZARRE WAS THAT BASKETBALL GAME"), as he said it before he could even think, and meixing happened to be standing in front of him. of course she was quick to reply with her own statement, again, without thinking ("I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY I CAME TO THIS STUPID GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE") and that was the first time they ever spoke. however, meixing was actually really surprised because she'd just found her soulmate after searching for him for forever, and freaked out, pretty much bolting from the scene, ignoring how her wrist where the words were written was beginning to feel funny. he was kind of surprised too, but more hurt when meixing straight up ran away from him.

  ↳ BEG | well, he knew who she was before they actually met, and he thought she was pretty cute, but he didn't know much about her other than her name, which he found out from renjun. meanwhile, meixing didn't know who he was at all, so she was rather surprised when he spoke the ridiculous words tattooed on her wrist at the basketball game. however, despite the fact that meixing has been searching desperately for a soulmate, she panicked when she did actually find him, and just ran away, and proceeded to avoid him like the plague for the next too weeks, because she had no idea what to do. sure she dreamed of getting him for ages, but she didn't actually think she was going to meet him any time soon, and she was nowhere near prepared for this (really, not even the countless life times were enough to prepare her for actually meeting him) he, however, is confused by her actions, and doesn't understand how she suddenly manages to disappear or come up with an excuse to leave the vicinity whenever he gets within five metres of her.
  ↳ MID | towards the middle, he finally gets fed up and all but corners her, and forces her talk out the whole soulmates thing. despite being flustered, meixing knows it is for the best, so she lets him take her out for coffee, and they talk (even though it's really awkward at first because neither of them know what to say). eventually they break the ice by laughing over the ridiculous phrases tattooed to their wrists, and meixing feels a bit better, because at least she wasn't the only one with something stupid printed on her skin. after that they slowly become closer, and actually start texting each other a lot, staying up late to talk about nothing and everything. however, meixing is still really skeptical, as she's too scared to get her hopes up high. she's waited forever for this to happen, and she's scared that he's going to be snatched away from her.
  ↳ END | meixing still acts a bit flustered around him, and tends to get really embarrassed whenever he decides to flirt or be greasy, which usually ends with her hitting him and him finding it totally adorable (it surprises people how shameless he can be, since they always thought he was awkward around girls). he is highkey protective over her, and is always dragging her to his basketball games, despite meixing's protests that she hates basketball (which is a lie, because she doesn't actually mind it so much any more, as long as he's playing). this leads to the rest of the basketball team teasing them about it, and then he ends up telling them off for making her uncomfortable whenever she comes to watch practices. basically, she's just really happy around him, and feels a lot lighter, because she no longer has to worry about trying to find her soulmate. she's honestly really happy that he's her soulmate, even though she never actually pictured herself as being with someone like him before he spoke the words tattooed on her wrist.
