  1. > Lyra carried Lemy into his room. She found him in the garage with a guitar sitting in his lap, another one of his solo practice sessions.
  2. > Which he practiced in the garage because it was one of the only places in the whole house that was sound proof.
  3. > She pulled back the sheets and gently set him down. Taking off his jean jacket and Bandanna, setting both aside on the dresser. She put the sheet over him and kissed him on the forehead.
  4. > When she tried to leave, she was stopped by a small hand holding onto her arm. Looking down she saw her little brother grasping for her, half-conscious and mumbling.
  5. > “Plea- don’t g-” She sat down on the bed, slowly petting his head like she did when he was little. She missed those days. Back when it was just the two of them.
  6. > Now it seemed they were off in their own worlds. Her trying to make time to practice her violin and schoolwork, while he ran off with new friends and family.
  7. > It seemed like forever since they had actually had a moment like this. Now it seemed whenever they had something to say to one another, it began and ended with an argument.
  8. > Looking at him now. She wondered what happened to her sweet little brother? The one who used to cling to her leg and follow her wherever she went?
  9. > Now he spent his time outside in some junkyard, or doing silly stunts with Lacy, admiring Lupa, and spending sleepless nights with Loan and her pointless little games.
  10. > Yes, Envy is a sin.
  11. > But she felt it all the same.
  12. > Despite part the part of her telling her to leave, she found herself laying down beside him. His gentle little hands still clinging to her palm.
  13. > Taking it away only for a moment to take off her own jacket. Setting aside the bed. Pulling the sheets over the two of them.
  14. > Lyra held Lemy close, as he sleeplessly hugged her and nuzzled into her chest.
  15. > Just for tonight, just for one night.
  16. > It could be like the old days.
