  1. The Codex Ignis tells the long and storied history of its author, the Magister of Flames, and their master, Hibat Allah Junayd Naguib, the Sun that sets Twice, master of the 4 mountains, the crafter of mirrors, and so on and so forth. Hibat Allah (as the author shortens their name to) was a mighty Efreet, who was sealed away long ago in the first age by a powerful mortal wizard. Hidden in this history is the knowledge on the mastery of flame.

  3. However, despite the incredible power the book wields, it makes important note: The only way to truly master the flame is to bind Hibat Allah himself, a task no one has accomplished. Indeed, even the wizard of old only managed to seal him away. To bind the great Efreet would be to ascend to godhood itself, a task the Magister set out to do but failed at. Tucked away through cipher and riddle in the tome is a map. A map pointing to a vast desert in the south.
