- In the early times, before man came to the Isles, a star fell from the sky - striking the ocean and splintering. From its remains, the Isles formed. It was not until many centuries later, after man had come, that the beings that had been trapped within the star awoke. Stirred by the imagination and willpower of man and pokemon alike, the eight awoke. They spread their influence throughout the land, and for a while, things were fine.
- While there are small stories she knows about all of them, The Broken Lord is the topic of choice. He, the great sage, returned to the remains of the vessel that had brought his kind to Earth, and built the isle you now stand on. He build the shrine, and with it, created the Unown - beings born from his subconscious and those of his peers. He beckoned his loyal to join him on the isle, and for even more time, things were fine.
- One day, however, things changed. Urmaresheron, the architect, the Spiritomb lord, grew tired of the state of the world and wished to build it anew. He was struck down by the followers of the other Seven, and banished to a deep sleep within the underwater temple of The Everhungry. The aftermath of this event was so powerful, that many of the aquatic Pokemon near his shrine were warped - changed forever. The Sirens were born. The Tribe that had proved loyal to Urmaresheron were out cast to the deepest lengths of the swamp, ever to be imprisoned by the harsh wilds surrounding them. And then, things were fine.
- The stories go on for a while, but one day things seemed to abruptly stop. Selene, however, as a Mystic, has spoken with these friendly little letters enough in the years she's been here to learn what happened. Urmaresheron awoke some 150 years ago or so, and once again attempted to destroy the world. The Broken Lord's followers were too isolated by that point to be much help - he had installed many defensive mechanisms to the isle, such as it's odd weekly cycle, to both shield its inhabitants and make sure only those he desired to be there could find it. So, they waited the war out. Urmaresheron was ultimately killed with the final blow being dealt by a Breloom. His power discharged to the new being, and The Broken Lord lost his own. The aftermath of that...not only turned his corporal form to stone, but all his followers left on the isle into Unowns, and warped the Pokemon that lived there - those of the types of Earth, Wind, Air and Fire - into the state they are in now. And then...things moved on, the world forgot. From this, Selene at least gathered that whatever these god-like creatures are, them dieing or being mortally wounded does pretty nasty things to the life around them!
- Selene has spent the last few years documenting both this place, and the tale of her and the other survivors. She's more than willing to answer questions. Shark Fighter will be accompanying you guys, as requested, and can also answer questions.
