Lightning Returns: NG+DASH FAQ

Q: What is NG+DASH?
A: NG+DASH is the completion category for speedrunning Lightning Returns.
The definition is broken up into a few parts and the category name acts like an acronym.

NG+ (NG Normal and NG+ Hard Playthroughs, ending on Bhunivelze+ )
Disaster (The drop from Aeronite on Hard)
All
Sidequests (Obvious, done across 2 playthroughs since one quest has 2 different outcomes, one of which gives you another quest but fails the original)
Heroic guard (The drop from Ereshkigal on Hard)

Q: How long will this take you?
A: Under 11 hours for sure. Should be under 10, and even under 9 is possible if things go well. Although I've done a lot of routing and practice for this, It's still a first run ;D

Q: Do you still need Imperil
A: Yes

Q: Why are you farming enemies on the final day?
A: One of the Sidequests requires beating all Last Ones (The game has an extinction mechanic). Since the enemies in the final dungeon (Chimera, Archangeli, Sugriva) do not have Omega versions in the Ultimate Lair, we have to extinct them on the final day to hand in the quest on NG+.

Q: Why are you looking for Debuff drops on NG+ day 1?
A: By fusing 2 Deprotects or Deshells with the same passive ability (Either Status Ailment Damage, or Status Ailment Duration) there is a chance of a rare fusion which gives Deprotect Chaser, which is a very powerful passive ability that we need for the run

Q: Why are you looking for Light Slash drops?
A: Deprotect Chaser works by changing certain offensive abilities (Attack, Light Slash, Heavy Slash, etc.) into Deprotect Hunter, which boost their damage. For some reason, Light Slash gets a huge damage boost from Deprotect Hunter. Combining this with the ability to fuse a very powerful light slash on NG+Hard from Death Safari/Death Game, we can deal very high amounts of damage and will use this combination for the rest of the run past this point.

Q: Does All Sidequests include Canvas of Prayers, and if so why not?
A: No it does not. A lot of the canvas missions require you to grind significantly, which would be boring, and there isn't really any reward for doing them.
