  1. The sun crept up over the mountain as a fresh ray lit up the horizon, illuminating the sides of houses, the grass, and the trees. Morning dew reflected small beams of light, cascading small rainbows along the ground. A soft breeze blew through the area, carrying with it the scent of fallen leaves, pine, and the nearby farmland. It's October, and festivity fills the atmosphere as the air grows warmer with the rising sun, yet staying cool enough for all to know that fall was fast approaching. This was the time of year everyone would be looking forward to- today was the Harvest Festival- Set to kick off the start of autumn.
  2.
  3. The harvest was great as usual. Everyone would have an abundance of corn, potato, and many other goods for a feast. Everyone would be chowing down, having a great time, and it was expected the festival to be just as lively. Sneet, a young mischevious pacapillar, watched quietly from a tree, as a group of passerbys walked together along a narrow worn dirt path towards the gathering that would take place tonight. Unpicked spuds and beets sit in small rows along the beaten trail. A short while ahead, was a forest clearing. There, other pacapillars were setting up the event that was to take place this evening. Some brought out picnic blankets, while others helped set up tables or food and drink stands.

  5. Sneet looked back to the group stilly. Below, it was easy to see who the boisterous group of pacapillars were. Together, walked Muffin, Berry, and Kimo. Each carrying a bag with them, they each chatted happily to each other, all bringing something along with to offer at the festival. They talked amongst themselves, speculating on who'd be at the festival tonight, what people might bring, and the activities planned for this year.
  6.
  7. Sneet was lost in thought, not really paying attention to the groups conversation. They had more important plans in mind. They giggled mischeivously from their perch and adjusted their hood. Although it was nearing the holidays to give thanks, spend time with family, and celebrate, it was too, the time for spooking friends, pranking, and trick-or-treating. And this year would be even more fruitful than the last. Sneet silently gestured to two unseen figures from their branch.
  8.
  9. Just then, a bright yellow glow peered out from a bush behind the group. The bioluminescent glow of a candle shone out softly, and tinkled gently onto the ground. A small pair of eyes peered out of the cranberry bush. Bones wiggled in excitement, before picking a cranberry off of the shrub, and slipping it up under the pumpkin on his head and into his mouth. Surely a quick treat would calm himself down. Bones absolutely didn't want to ruin the fun prank that was soon to happen.

  11. From nearby, Dis, a friendly monster pacapillar, took watch behind a tree. Their job was to ensure that Muffin, Berry, and Kimo were in proper range before they all struck. A smirk ran across their face as they watched the group from ahead. It was spooking time.

  13. Together, Sneet, Dis, and Bones gave each other a short nod of approval. Then, they each jumped from their hiding place, throwing bits of candy and sweets into the air, raining down on everyone. Taffy, bubblegum, chocolate, caramel, bounced onto the ground around the two groups. Surprised Muffin, Berry and Kimo shrieked in both excitment and surprise. It took a moment for them to catch their breath, before realizing it was merely another group of lively friends. Scared, but more than alright, Muffin, Berry, and Kimo chastized the group for their silly prank. Afterwords, they all took a moment to help collect the sweets, before exchanging some goodies on their own. Together, the group of six laughed at some good fun, and exchanged some treats. From there, they finished the journey to the harvest festival together.
