- Always move the razor in the direction of the hair growth with light pressure. If you have to add pressure to shave the hair off cleanly chances are the razor has become dull and adding pressure can lead to skin irritation and shaving rash. It's always best to change the blades on your razor regularly to reduce the risk of skin irritation. In addition, if you have sensitive skin it needs extra care so use a sensitive skin shaving cream or gel and take your time. When finished shaving rinse the area well with lukewarm water and use a skin hydrating moisturizer instead of an alcohol based after shave.
