My magnum opus

This is a conversation between Lance McClain and yourself, Kolivan.
Kolivan: Do you have a moment to spare?
Lance McClain: Yeah, man. What's up?
Kolivan: I've been working at decrypting these documents for quintants, but I'm still no closer to finding the answer. A fresh pair of eyes to see what I've been overlooking would make for some much-needed help.
Kolivan: As long as I know I can trust you.
Lance McClain: I think you've got the wrong guy. I'm not good at breaking codes and stuff. You're looking for Pidge. You know, the smallest one, yea high. *He indicated Pidge's approximate height, which was shorter than she actually was.*
Kolivan: That won't do. It's not mechanical prowess I'm looking for; what I need is somebody experienced with people and how they work, how they think, the underlying emotion that overrides simple logic. It's an intuition that can't be learned by rote, and it's something the Blue Paladin reportedly has in spades.
Lance McClain: Oh you need gut instinct and a people person? Why didn't you say so? *He slapped Kolivan on the shoulder or as high as he could reach in his attempt to do say anyway.* Let's go crack this puzzle wide open.
Kolivan: [He's got the stature of a mountain and remains just as immovable, though the muscles of his lips twitch just a fraction at the contact.] Excellent, I was hoping you'd say that. We'll begin right away. [From the innumerable folds of his Blade uniform, he pulls out an aged scrap of what looks to be paper-adjacent to human eyes-- a type of fiber used in primitive societies without the technology to accommodate holographic screens.]
Kolivan: Just so that we're both on equal footing, how familiar are you with the concept of Chou Kahn?
Lance McClain: *He was none the wiser yet about what was on the paper that Kolivan pulled out when he used the unfamiliar phrase.* No, doesn't ring any bells.
Kolivan: I see. No matter, I'll catch you up to speed. The people of Zanthia 6 used this philosophy to write each and every one of their most sacred documents important to their race. "Chou Kahn" a phrase used as both invitation and barrier to any attempting to plumb the depths of their species' knowledge, but this is only part of a larger ideal and what we'll need to uncover these secrets.
Kolivan: The full version of this phrase is...
Kolivan: "Chou Kahn this dick."
Kolivan: [If he had a mic, he'd be dropping it right now. Fuckin'. GOT. 'EM.]
