/bgg/ Top Nine Summary February 2025

Top nines posted: 40, representing ~40% of posters in the general (assuming the General is still hitting an average 100 IPs/thread, bring back IP counter Hiroshimoot!), featuring 209 games, a significant drop from last years 284.
65 games made at least one or more appearance, a drop from last years 88 games that were ≥2.
Data was collected between February 3rd and February 19, 2025.
Flaws: Manual counting, any game appearing >3 times risks a +/- drift, did best to sift out meme posts.

Striking observations:
Twilight Struggle cratered from 7 appearances last year to a lowly singleton. Card games like Netrunner and Sakura Arms also dropped from the top 10 to double hits each. Argent and 7 Wonders also dropped to singles. Many games that previously made at least a double showing disappeared all together. So long, Black Exile :(
Tigris and Euphrates got zero love last year, and roared back to life with 5 appearances. Another classic, El Grande, doubled its score from last year.
New releases Arcs and Hegemony made respectable showings as well.
