TSFP FFA Tournament Rules

The FFA TSFP Tournament will be either double or triple elimination (depending on turnout). The bottom 50% in a match will be eliminated (e.g. in a 5 player match, positions 3-5 are eliminated). The number of players per match is TBD and the matchups will be determined by random number generator.

The maps and weapon sets will be decided by the organizers and posted in advance. The host will be selected at random.

Eligible Match Types: deathmatch, bagtag, gladiator, elimination

Match Settings: score limit= none, score method= kills-suicides, one shot kill= no, time limit= 10 minutes, always start with gun= on, display radar= off, character abilities= on, powerups= off

Banned Maps: zeppelin, siberia, spaceport, vietnam, vr

Starting Weapon: must be an actual gun (not grenades, mines, baseball bat, brick, etc.)

Banned Weapons: electrotool, flamethrower, mag-charger, proximity mine, monkey gun, scifi sniper

Banned Characters: monkey (or any variants), edwina/deadwina, robofish, stumpy

Game Day:

Make sure you test your online set up in advance. If you are more than five minutes late, the matches will start without you and you will forfeit that match. This is necessary to keep things running smoothly.

If someone disconnects within the first 30 seconds of a match starting, that match must be restarted. If someone disconnects a second time or after the first 30 seconds, they will forfeit that match.

You should report match results in #timesplitters-online-sessions. If there are inconsistencies in reporting, we will need proof (screenshots/videos) to determine a winner. Disputing the results without justification (i.e. proof of cheating or other rule breaking) will result in your being disqualified from the entire tournament and possible action taken within this Server.
