  1. So I've talked quite a bit the past couple months about how I feel I've slipped into an unhealthy mindset for speedrunning. I get so hellbent on trying to obtain a goal that I get more upset than I normally do, which eventually leads to sloppy play and a lack of enjoyment on my end. So I think I've come up with a solution to try and change my mindset a little bit while continuing to improve and practice runs and providing a stream worth watching.

  3. I'll be taking most runs. For a while, at least. See if that changes my attitude a bit. If I'm -0:01, great, let's take it! If I'm +2:00, great, let's take it! I'll be drastically reducing my resets this way, to the point where I'll only really reset if I cannot reasonably complete the run. Some games will be harder than others to apply this mindset to, and some games in general will have more resets than others, but hopefully this can help me improve all-around and encourage people to stick around and not suffer hours of resets. This might not fix my thoughts on some games like Red, though. Being behind will probably mean taking crazy risks to try and catch up (which will almost certainly lead to "can't complete the run"), but I feel like that would be more entertaining than just giving up the run because I feel like I can't PB.

  5. Speedrunning should be fun, first and foremost, and I want to try and rediscover the fun.
