  3. pick song idk whatd fit for awak, its heavily based on Samoan fire dances
  4.
  5. __Suspect Test Reasoning__
  6. Alolan Marowak in Godly Gift has been an overarching threat in the metagame for a while, boasting an extremely high Attack stat with Thick Club, powerful STAB moves in Poltergeist and Flare Blitz, the ability to boost its sky-high attack even further with Swords Dance, and even defensive utility with Normal- and Fighting-type immunities, and Lightning Rod, providing it with another immunity.
  7.
  8. It's extremely threatening offensive presence is most notably seen in its flexibility to now inherit a high base speed from a fast God, such as Eternatus or Mewtwo, essentially nullifying its main problem of slow speed and now carrying a huge threat value to both the defensive and offensive metagame.
  9.
  10. Alolan Marowak's primary Swords Dance set is nearly uncheckable, and even then, has ways to beat said checks with only minute move changes. Swords Dance and good coverage allows Alolan Marowak to 2HKO and OHKO even the strongest of walls, such as Necrozma Dusk Mane, and Shuckle Defense inheritors with relative ease.
  11. (Necrozma Dusk Mane Defense)
  12. +2 252 Atk Thick Club Marowak-Alola Low Kick (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Snorlax: 460-542 (87.7 - 103.4%) -- 25% chance to OHKO
  13. +2 252 Atk Thick Club Marowak-Alola Poltergeist (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Vaporeon: 315-372 (67.8 - 80.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
  14. (Shuckle Defense)
  15. +2 252 Atk Thick Club Marowak-Alola Low Kick (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Snorlax: 292-344 (55.7 - 65.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
  16.
  17. Alolan Marowak can be offensively checked by faster threats, like Scarf users or faster God speed inheritance, but none of these Pokemon can switch-in without either dying or taking massive damage, even ones that are Gods like Yveltal.
  18.
  19. Some of Alolan Marowak's most effective checks like Shuckle Defense bulky Waters, or the Unaware Water-types in Quagsire and Pyukumuku, can still be broken. With the lack of reliable recovery on the aforementioned Pokemon like Vaporeon and Snorlax, Alolan Marowak can endlessly pressure them until they're in range of a guaranteed kill.
  20.
  21. Quagsire and Pyukumuku (Pokemon only viable on stall teams due to their vulnerability to status and chip) can avoid the 2HKO due to Recover, Unaware, and intentional lack of item, but these Pokemon are vulnerable to a Alolan Marowak's alternative Follower inheritance, which is the Attack slot, generally from Calyrex Ice on Trick Room teams. This option has the capabilities to break most every wall with its Thick-Club-boosted 165 base Attack and has access to another Ghost-type STAB in Shadow Bone, allowing it to hit the itemless Water-types.
  22. (Giratina Defense)
  23. 252+ Atk Thick Club Marowak-Alola Shadow Bone vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 231-273 (58.6 - 69.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
  24. (Giratina HP)
  25. 252+ Atk Thick Club Marowak-Alola Shadow Bone vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Pyukumuku: 219-258 (43.4 - 51.1%) -- 98.4% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
  26.
  27. Overall, Alolan Marowak is the most threatening wallbreaker and sweeper this tier submits to, breaking past every Pokemon in the metagame with little to no drawbacks. The qualities it possesses as mentioned above are the reasons why the Godly Gift council has decided to suspect Alolan Marowak!
