53. Picking up two years after the Egypt incident, the Autobots and their human allies discover a lost piece of Cybertronian technology which has been in human possession for several years. It is revealed that the artifact is part of an Autobot spacecraft which has crashed on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission to the Moon and carries a special technology and the legendary Sentinel Prime (Optimus Prime's old mentor). However, Sam Witwicky discovers a conspiracy by the Decepticons who plot to use it for their own evil purposes. And Optimus Prime finds that they are up against a menace who plans to also use it to enslave humanity in order to restore Cybertron.
 54. The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and to learn its secrets.
 55. Isn't Transformers supposed to be fun? The first one was, and even though the second one went overboard with the toilet humor, it still had its moments. To this threequel's credit, the story is better and more disciplined, though. The first 20 minutes set up an intriguing premise about the "real" reason for the moon landings. Yet it never really follows through with it. After that pre-title sequence it's back to the usual with Sam and company as they try to stop the Decepticons' latest (and greatest?) scheme. For what it's worth, Michael Bay reined in some of his baser tendencies. Sam's parents get a whole lot less screen time, and he ditched the racist Autobots from the previous installment. Also, since he shot this in 3D this forced him to tidy up the camera-work and editing. The visual effects also top everything that came before it. There are some really jaw-dropping visuals that probably looked amazing on a cinema screen, and still looked pretty awesome on my HDTV. On the casting side, he got some more veteran actors to do glorified cameos and add legitimacy to an otherwise mostly talent-starved ensemble. However, Leonard Nimoy as Sentinel Prime was a stroke of genius (along with an obligatory Star Trek reference/quote). What didn't work in the film's favor was the tiresome and endless nature of the carnage and destruction. The last hour of the film is basically an extended action sequence, and it was a chore to sit through. The human drama is clichéd at best, insipidly stupid at worst. Michael Bay certainly doubled down on why the films have been so popular, but it seems like he forgot to make it a little more enjoyable. As a result, lengthy stretches of action were rendered boring and depressing. The score didn't help matters much either. Like the previous two, Michael Bay was content to use the kernel of a good idea and slather it with visual effects and mindless action. He knows his audience, to be sure, but his cynicism is on full display here. TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON corrects some of the more egregious missteps of its predecessor, but it unfortunately loses its soul in the process.
 56. I read a lot of reviews on the movie and I would have to say, people you have no hearts. Most of the people that wrote the review seem like (I have this mental picture) they had a notepad and a pen while watching the movie to write down what they believed was not good enough or could make them shine on the review section. With all do respect, people you need to saver and enjoy the moments. The movie revolves about the love and nostalgy of the robots, the final battle started in 2007 and just 2+ hours of pure fun and amazement filled with effects and actions. You can find bad comments and reviews on ANY movie. Look at it this way. Optimus was as great as ever, heroic, brave and for not imbalanced (had a stronger enemy). Autobots are dying, there is drama and so on and so forth. I also read a review by Mr.Roger Ebert posted in the Chicago Sun-Times. I remember him saying, that he would not care about Optimus Prime if it was just him. Well to him and all the followers, that's where you are wrong. That's where this movie is not for you. I, for one, do not watch horror movies, because they provide no entertainment to me at all. If I sit down and write a review on a horror movie, I'll make your heads spin! Bottom line is, you should not write a review to a movie you dislike before you entered the cinema.

I'm trying to say, that this movie is an absolute 10 for any person that loves the Transformers Universe. Michael Bay is obviously a misunderstood director by many, but in my eyes, he gets you closer to the story of Transformers, than anyone or anything else. I do not picture this movie made by any other director! The 3D, the effects, the soundtrack, the passion and love towards the movie, actors (human and non) and their role in the movie, actually makes me a little bit sad that I'm not in it!

An Absolute 10! If you loved the idea behind the 1st Movie, you will most probably become a maniac about this one, like i did!

Worth every penny spent on it!
 57. A visually ugly film with an incoherent plot, wooden characters and inane dialog. It provided me with one of the more unpleasant experiences I've had at the movies.
