Greetings, we are Anonymous. This is to introduce you to #OpFacebook

WHAT IS OPERATION FACEBOOK ? Operation Facebook is an informational campaign which seeks to expose accounts on Facebook which advocate torture, abuse, cruelty of animals, abuse & rape of women, abuse (sexual and otherwise) of children.

WHY Operation Facebook ? Facebook has become a bully pulpit for abusers of women, children, and animals. On their servers, they host pages showing graphic images of torture and injuries to humans and animals, and created by
psychopathic personalities which revel in sharing pictures of paedophilia, bestiality, domestic abuse, and more.
These images of sadism are often in the context of extolling how good it is to engage in these depraved actions.

We became aware of this both from news articles, and the fact that despite making the executives of Facebook aware of a page clearly advocating animal cruelty and torture, despite numerous complaints from Facebook users, it took days to get said page taken offline. When one of our friends complained about the page, Facebook responded that the page did not violate its terms of service. Furthermore, FB has become a vehicle for murderers to announce their criminal plans to murder others. Facebook has also become a vehicle for victims of rape and other crimes, to be harassed by perpetrators and supporters of perpetrators, something often referred to as "cyberbullying" and which has led to people committing suicide because of it.

Furthermore, as CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg has done little if anything to stop such activities from being facilitated through his business, often, appearing to side with abusers. Because of this, Mr. Zuckerberg is now
being watched as to his public comments, his activities in public and online.

WHAT OPERATION FACEBOOK IS NOT ...
We intend to do everything in a legal manner. We do not encourage illegal activities. We will try our utmost to only release true, factual information about Facebook, its executives, its terms of service, etc.. We do not intend, nor will we, attempt to hack the site, access information that is not publicly accessible on its servers, on the internet, in news releases, etc..

OPERATIONALLY, WHAT IS PLANNED ?
We plan to organize a collection of concerned people, drawn from Anonymous, Occupy, and the public in general, to hold Facebook and its executives publicly accountable for what is being hosted on its servers. When it appears to violate laws, codes, rules, etc., we may complain to the FBI, Department of Justice, FCC, etc., and if they have been given affirmative notice about the problem and do nothing to remove said offending pages, we feel that their "Safe Harbor" exception under law, should be withdrawn and they should be held legally liable for damages or injuries which may occur as a result of their negligence, and failure to remove pages which call for illegal activities, pages which contain libelous material, fraudulent material, etc.. We want to empower users of Facebook and others, to more quickly and effectively establish community standards which say that paedophilia (pedophilia), bestiality (Zoophilia), and abuse of women, harassment of adolescents, is not tolerated, and a more effective means to register their complaints about those sick individuals who create such pages.

IS OPERATION FACEBOOK TIME LIMITED ?
No, it is ongoing.

"I HAVE A FACEBOOK ACCOUNT, SHOULD I BE CONCERNED ? "
No. We understand that many people use their account to market their business, communicate with friends and family, and to make new friends. We do not wish to interfere with the legitimate social networking functions such as these.
In fact, we are trying to make Facebook MORE "family friendly" and more usable to those good people who do not try to use it to encourage abuse of others.

Finally, we shall be releasing a video in the new few days advising you about #OpFacebook.

We are trying to bring that site back to a semblance of normalcy...which obviously, has been lost.
