  1. "Unified" Tulpa Creation Guide
  2.
  3. Preamble: So, you've decided to make a tulpa? Well, glad to hear, but first you must do some prep work. The first thing to do is write out a personality for your tulpa. What kind of person will they be? A nice, kind girl who likes to read? A hothead biker who wears leather and listens to rock? A amorphous blob that likes to process ammonia? That parts up to you. Start by writing out a list of "traits" your tulpa has.
  4.
  5. Example A:
  6. Kind
  7. Smart
  8. Funny
  9. Laid back
  10. Reader
  11. Curious
  12. Adventurous
  13. Forgiving
  14.
  15. Then add onto it some basic likes, and some dislikes, if they have any.
  16.
  17. Example B:
  18. Likes:
  19. Books
  20. Science
  21. Smooth Jazz
  22.
  23. Dislikes:
  24. Metal
  25. Television
  26. Boredom
  27.
  28. Think about how these traits interact and mingle, perhaps even situations and how they may interact. Once you feel you have a reasonable grasp of your desired tulpa's identity, you should give them an appropriate form. As I showed above, they can be anything you can possibly imagine. A regular old girl, broad chested hunk, your favorite childhood fluffy stuffed animal, a rock (if you so choose). If possible, draw them out, to get a good feel for how they look.
  29.
  30. Creation:
  31.
  32. There are a plethora of terms used for tulpa creation, tulpaforcing, mediation, personality work, creation. But it all comes down to a few things. First off, it's agreed it should be done in a meditative state; I.E. you go sit down in a soft chair, close your eyes and only think of your tulpa. Now comes a few different things.
  33.
  34. One thing many people in this community do is make what's called a wonderland, or dreamscape. It is basically a place you create in your mind for you and your tulpa to hang out it. It can be just as simple or complex as your tulpa. Some have a simple, white room with a table and chair. Others have immense castles made of marble and gold. Some have infinite fields of grass, spotted with mountain ranges and bordering a beach. While this is not absolutely necessary, it can help development, in most cases.
  35.
  36. So the next thing to do if start "forcing". So go find somewhere comfortable, where you won't fall asleep or be distracted, and clear your mind of all thought. And focus on your tulpa. Visualize them in your mind, see every aspect of them, and explain to them what they are like. When speaking, address them as you would address a friend, calling them by their name and treating them as though they are there. (They are there, they just might not speak yet.) And if you making a wonderland (which the author hopes you are), bring them into it. Focus on your surrounding as well as your tulpa.
  37.
  38. So the next thing is repetition. Now this may seem dull, but it doesn't have to be. Make something interesting happen. Go on a walk with your tulpa, either in wonderland or in real life, if so possible. If in real life, imagine them walking with you, and talk. (Not necessarily out loud, you can speak to them in your head.) If you have a wonderland, go exploring, climb a mountain, pick berries, skydive. The sky isn't the limit here, the limit is your imagination.
  39.
  40. Sometime down the road, they will show signs of development. Maybe you'll ask them a question, and a thought will immediately pop up, most likely exactly what they would say in that situation. You may get "tulpaches", headaches that come when you think of them. Just remember, it may seem to be going nowhere, but as long as you spend time with them, they are getting "bigger". Remember to talk to them throughout the day, as a general rule, every time you think of them, say high and make a comment or two.
  41.
  42. For further advice on things later on in development, remember to visit the forums, and ask questions on the IRC chat, #tulpa.info .
  43.
  44. And remember the golden rule:
  45. All you need is love. (And patience is a virtue.)
