- When their adopted mother is gunned down in a store robbery the 'four brothers' investigated the murder for themselves & look for the killers but not all is what it seems.
- In Detroit, when the beloved citizen Evelyn Mercer is murdered in a store heist, her four dangerous stepsons come to her funeral. Bobby Mercer, Angel Mercer and Jack Mercer join the regenerated ex-union leader Jeremiah Mercer, and they decide to investigate the murder. They discover that her execution was intentional, and resolve to find the criminals by themselves.
- Four Brothers is one of my all time FAVORITE MOVIES that has an all time favorite cast and is also focused on one of my favorite city's in the U.S. which is Detroit Michigan although this movie has been out for a long time those who haven't seen it yet I highly suggest that you do !!!! And just so that you know NO CHILDREN SHOULD BE ALLOWED !!!! Belinda
- Just a bit of forewarning, this review is going to include spoilers.<br/><br/>After watching this movie, I found that the movie marketing industry is going downhill, as all of my predictions for the movie were right. For example, when a movie titled "FOUR Brothers", and you see the names and faces of actors Mark Wahlberg, Tyrese Gibson, and Andre Benjamin, it becomes natural to assume one of two things: a.) Garret Hedlund (the fantastic actor who plays the fourth brother) dies, or b.) Someone in the whole movie making process to preview editing process can't count. The former of the two would be the accurate one. The movie also has a lot of open ends, such as what was so bad about these kids that they couldn't get a home elsewhere? The movie does a little development of character for each of the brothers, mostly on present development, giving very little to the past.<br/><br/>The acting on the other hand was awesome. Mark Wahlberg always does good as a leading man and continues his reputation with this movie. Tyrese Gibson, who is an emerging actor from the past 9 years, plays the stereotypical role you'd expect to see someone of his stature playing, in other words, the guy who is pimping the girl and running around shooting things. Andre Benjamin plays the more successful of the brothers and did a fine job at creating the feel of someone who started out bad but then turned right, making character acknowledgements towards a rough past, but standing as a firm family oriented man. Garret Hedlund does, in my opinion, his best job yet, being a very new actor on the scene, showing through consistently noted childhood trauma through an emotional, almost terrified, face, as well as establishing a very human character who is used to getting picked on and just roles with it (as many people do).<br/><br/>The plot is good, it makes sense, much more than most movies that are made these days. It follows the story of likely events. It does carry its brief surrealistic points used for cinematic purposes, but the majority of the events actually are a possible reality for some people to go through.<br/><br/>Altogether, I'd say this was an Okay to Good movie, not something I would bother seeing twice, but one I might consider buying when it comes out on DVD.

Bobby, Angel, and Jack confront Evan at the bowling alley? "Jesus Walks" by Kanye West.<br/><br/>... Green confronts Fowler in the pool hall?
