Edge: Valentine's Day at the Zoo pt2

[00:42] <Rapey_Lemons> As a recap: You went to the Safari Park, got attacked by a rhino, headshot a creature which was once human, levitated your parents up a small cliff, made your way back to the main area, talked to some people who were fleeing back inside, away from the guards surrounding the zoo, and then went to the elephant section of the zoo to enact your plan.
[00:42] <Rapey_Lemons> And now a bull Elephant is charging you from 300 feet away.
[00:43] * Liz makes sure that she's floating between the herd and the direction of the front gate.
[00:43] <Rapey_Lemons> A few other elephants also notice you an begin charging, but the other half of the herd seems lethargic, instead just standing around or lying on the ground.
[00:44] <Rapey_Lemons> You are indeed floating between the herd and the direction of the main area/front gate.
[00:45] <Rapey_Lemons> The bull elephant and the three elephants behind it are currently 300 feet away from you.
[00:45] <Rapey_Lemons> Your turn
[00:45] * Liz waits calmly for the elephants to pass under her.
[00:46] * Liz continues to float at 28 feet above the ground.
[00:46] <Rapey_Lemons> You're a little nervous about falling and splatting to death, but the water around you and your control over said water gives you reassurance.
[00:47] <Rapey_Lemons> The elephants continue charging and finally reach you, gathering underneath you and trumpeting angrily.
[00:48] <Rapey_Lemons> They are unable to reach you or attack you.
[00:48] <Rapey_Lemons> Your turn.
[00:48] * Liz starts moving towards the gate.
[00:48] <Liz> "Man....These things are so noisy."
[00:50] <Rapey_Lemons> The elephants blindly follow you, still enraged.
[00:50] <Rapey_Lemons> (do you go back to the main area in a direct path or what)
[00:51] <Liz> (Direct path, stopping as she gets closer to the front gate)
[00:54] <Rapey_Lemons> You make a beeline for the gate, managing to lead the four rampaging elephants between a gift shop and an animal care center. As you float along, you see thin streams of people ahead of you, all heading for the main area.
[00:55] <Liz> "Wait, don't those people know about the soldiers?"
[00:56] * Liz tries to see the main gate from where she is.
[00:57] <Rapey_Lemons> From nearly thirty feet up in the air, you can barely see the flamingo area, which you remember is close to the main gate.
[00:58] <Rapey_Lemons> You also remember that the main area is not exactly where the main gate is, but rather slightly deeper inside the park.

[00:59] * Liz continues forward trying to look for cover closer to the flamingo area.
[00:59] <Rapey_Lemons> (what sort of cover?)
[00:59] <Liz> (Anything that could potentially block a soldier's bullets.)
[01:01] <Rapey_Lemons> Ignoring the people, you continue forward, the small crowd panicking and backing away from the elephants as you lead them to the main gate. You lead them through the flamingo area in a straight line, avoiding the people so they aren't trampled.
[01:01] <Rapey_Lemons> There are two buildings near the main gate.
[01:02] <Rapey_Lemons> One gift shop, and one entrance building.
[01:02] <Rapey_Lemons> A large bird enclosure is to your left.
[01:02] <Liz> "Well......I always did like gift shops...."
[01:03] <Rapey_Lemons> As you float forward, the guards surrounding the park and the entrance come into view. They haven't noticed you yet.
[01:03] * Liz lands on the side of the roof opposite from the main gate.
[01:03] <Rapey_Lemons> You land successfully on the gift shop. The elephants smash their heads against the walls of the gift shop as you take cover.
[01:04] <Rapey_Lemons> The soldier cannot see you, but the crashing sounds of the elephants are sure to alert them sometime soon.
[01:04] * Liz keeps the water around her just in case and takes aim at the soldier's head.
[01:05] <Rapey_Lemons> You peek out a little from behind the cover enough to see the line of soldiers and successfully take aim at one of their heads.
[01:06] <Rapey_Lemons> (How long do you aim for?)
[01:07] <Rapey_Lemons> (and it is currently around three o'clock in the afternoon)
[01:07] <Liz> (Aim for 6 seconds)
[01:08] <Rapey_Lemons> You successfully aim for six seconds, then fire a blast of water.
[01:08] <Rapey_Lemons> Roll attack
[01:08] <Rapey_Lemons> +20
[01:08] <Liz> )roll 1d100+70
[01:08] * Crunk --> "Liz rolls 1d100+70 and gets 138."
[01:09] <Liz> (That's with the aiming at the head modifier)
[01:09] <Rapey_Lemons> (gotcha)
[01:12] <Rapey_Lemons> The ball of water streaks toward the unsuspecting soldier's head, his helmeted noggin no match for your artifact as it slams into his helmet, cracking the plastic and leaving a dent. He falls onto the ground, dropping his weapon.
[01:12] <Rapey_Lemons> He does not get back up.
[01:13] <Rapey_Lemons> His fellow soldiers take a moment to process the sight before immediately raising their riot shields, shouting about a sniper as they look around.
[01:13] * Liz ducks back behind the roof.
[01:14] <Liz> "Okay....now I just need to get the soldiers to shoot at the elephants and I'll be good."
[01:15] <Rapey_Lemons> They don't notice you, but instead begin taking shelter behind nearby trees and the various cars in the parking lot. A few begin to move up toward the ticket booths, clearly having heard the commotion the elephants are creating.
[01:16] * Liz waits there, prepared to fire as soon as they notice her.
[01:19] <Rapey_Lemons> The squad of five soldiers halt at the fence, staring at the four elephants as they smash repeatedly into the wall of the gift shop. One of the soldiers clicks open his radio, hurriedly asking for order about the situation in front of them. The elephants, having grown bored of smashing at the wall, hear the radio noise and turn toward the soldiers, trumpeting.
[01:19] <Liz> "Aannnnnnnd here, we, go."
[01:21] <Rapey_Lemons> The soldiers raise their rifles and begin firing at the elephants, but the bullets barely penetrate into their thick hide as they smash down the fence and trample the soldiers.
[01:22] <Rapey_Lemons> The soldiers are unable to get out of the way in time, their screams cut off abruptly as the elephants stomp on them, crushing their chests and arms and pulping their heads.
[01:22] <Rapey_Lemons> The smell of viscera only seem to further encourage them as they trample the remains, spreading smearing the sidewalk with splashes of red and orange.
[01:22] <Rapey_Lemons> The other soldiers see the scene and begin shouting and firing upon the elephants.
[01:23] * Liz pops up and starts firing back at the soldiers.
[01:23] <Rapey_Lemons> The elephants, enraged, charge the other soldiers, forcing them to scramble out of the way as the enraged elephants smash into the cars in the parking lots and attempt to trample the soldiers.
[01:23] <Rapey_Lemons> Roll attack
[01:23] <Liz> )roll 1d100+110
[01:23] * Crunk --> "Liz rolls 1d100+110 and gets 114."
[01:25] <Rapey_Lemons> Your shot smashes and pulverizing the hand of an unfortunate soldier, forcing him to drop his gun and clutch his hand in pain. The elephants trample over him.
[01:25] <Rapey_Lemons> One of the elephants stumbles and falls, attempting to struggle to his feet under the firestorm, but eventually collapsing.
[01:26] <Rapey_Lemons> (do you do anything else?)
[01:26] <Liz> (nope)
[01:27] <Rapey_Lemons> Three swat vans pull up as reinforcements arrive, the frantic radio messages from earlier going through. Another 20 or so soldiers emerge from the vans, taking aim and firing at the elephants with grenade launchers.
[01:27] <Liz> "Oh come the hell on...."
[01:28] <Rapey_Lemons> After another minute, everything goes quiet, the elephants finally having been taken down by the sheer firepower.
[01:28] * Liz ducks back down under the roof and begins to float away
[01:28] <Rapey_Lemons> Despite them being elephants, it still seems a little odd as to how they were able to survive for so long.
[01:28] <Liz> "Well shit.....I'm out of ideas."
[01:29] <Rapey_Lemons> The only sounds now are the groans of the wounded and the various car alarms that were set off during the engagement.
[01:29] <Rapey_Lemons> (where do you float to?)
[01:30] <Liz> (The Safari walk path)
[01:31] <Rapey_Lemons> You head down the path, the sound of car alarms fading a little behind you. People are still arriving at the main area, desperate to get out of the park. Quite a few of them are covering in bleeding wounds, seemingly resulting from animal bites or scratches.
[01:32] <Rapey_Lemons> (do you attempt to hide yourself?)
[01:32] * Liz lands and joins the crowd, water following behind her in slime form.
[01:33] <Liz> "Is anyone here a regular here at the zoo?!"
[01:33] <Rapey_Lemons> A few of them break off their conversation and look at you, their faces haggard.
[01:33] <Rapey_Lemons> "Huh?" Most of them say.
[01:34] <Rapey_Lemons> The others, having heard your question, shake their heads.
[01:35] <Liz> "Do any of you know your way around the place? I tried rushing the main gate with some elephants and I got most of them, but they got reenforcements. That means that if they DO have a parimiter, it'll be weaker in some areas so that they could focus on the main gate. Basically."
[01:35] <Liz> "Do any of you know a different way we can get out?"
[01:36] <Rapey_Lemons> A few of them look at you like you're crazy, another few notice the slime behind you and gasp and point.
[01:36] <Rapey_Lemons> But one of them responds.
[01:39] <Rapey_Lemons> A boy with tanned skin and a medium build speaks to you, pushing his brown hair streaked with blonde out of his greenish eyes as he does so. He is rather handsome.
[01:39] <Rapey_Lemons> "I've tried already. They've surrounded this entire zoo, by the looks of it."
[01:40] <Rapey_Lemons> He's one of the few that doesn't seem too haggard. In fact, he seems sort of at place, as if he'd been in a similar situation before.
[01:40] <Liz> "Like I said, somewhere's got to be weaker than the others after they moved all that firepower to the entrance."
[01:41] <Rapey_Lemons> A thirteen year-old girl with reddish hair and glasses and a skinny build steps up next to him.
[01:41] <Liz> "Maybe if we use the Hot Air Balloon to distract them....."
[01:42] <Rapey_Lemons> "I just checked. None of the soldiers surrounding this area left their positions. If you said there were reinforcements, then they came from another source."
[01:43] <Rapey_Lemons> The boy elbows the girl surreptitiously, shushing her.
[01:43] <Liz> "And the news just keeps getting worse...."
[01:43] <Liz> "That means they probably have an outpost that they're based at...."
[01:43] <Rapey_Lemons> The crowd around you has left, leaving you three to talk amongst yourselves.
[01:44] <Liz> "Any chance you two have any ideas for getting out of here?"
[01:44] <Rapey_Lemons> Brianna ignores what you're saying and instead runs to your "slime" excitedly, ooing and aahing.
[01:44] <Rapey_Lemons> "What's this?" she asks, poking at it.
[01:44] <Rapey_Lemons> The boy looks interested too.
[01:45] <Liz> "Just some pond water I'm controlling to look cute."
[01:45] <Rapey_Lemons> "Besides brute force? I can't think of a good way to get out."
[01:46] <Liz> "Yeah tried that, killed most of them before a truck pulled up with some guys that had rocket launchers."
[01:46] <Rapey_Lemons> The girl speaks up. "I can get out any time I want," she says, giggling as she jiggles the water. "But I need to avoid attracting attention."
[01:46] <Rapey_Lemons> "How are you controlling those?" the boy asks.
[01:46] <Liz> "That's a secret."
[01:47] <Rapey_Lemons> He sighs a little. "Do you have... powers? Of some sort? By any chance?"
[01:47] <Rapey_Lemons> The girl looks up. "OOOooh, Sam, I thought we were keeping them a secret."
[01:48] <Rapey_Lemons> He frowns at her. "Great, thanks for spilling it."
[01:48] <Liz> "Like I said, it's a secret. You two don't seem to open about how one of you can 'leave any time she wants'. So I'm not so sure I can say anything either."
[01:48] <Rapey_Lemons> "I'll tell you if you tell me?" he asks.
[01:49] <Liz> "I want you to think about something. In fiction, when has bragging or even telling people about powers ever worked for anyone?"
[01:50] <Liz> "Let's just say I can do this, and you can do whatever you can, and we'll leave it at that?"
[01:50] <Rapey_Lemons> "Is that a no?" he says, a little disappointed. "We're not in a novel right now, but I can see your point. Brianna here is just a little blabbermouth."
[01:51] <Rapey_Lemons> "Am not," the red-haired girl says, still poking at the slime.
[01:52] <Liz> "Still, this doesn't change the fact that we need to find a way out of here. For all we know this is a quarentine zone and we're being left to die by the animals, monsters, or to soldiers who get bored."
[01:53] <Rapey_Lemons> "Monsters?" he asks, his eyes widening.
[01:53] * Editanon is now known as Luna
[01:54] <Liz> "Weird tentacle thing, the person on the intercom turned into it and I don't know if it's infectious."
[01:54] <Liz> "For all we know, this is the zombie apocalypse and we're near patient zero."
[01:54] <Rapey_Lemons> "That's... pretty disturbing. Brianna and I have seen enough tentacles for a lifetime."
[01:55] <Rapey_Lemons> "That came out wrong," he quickly amends.
[01:55] <Liz> "Not gonna get the image out of my mind."
[01:55] <Rapey_Lemons> He groans and blushes a little. Luckily, Brianna was a little occupied with the slime and didn't hear.
[01:56] <Rapey_Lemons> "So a zombie apocalypse, you say?" Sam says quickly, attempting to change the topic. "You think we should stick around?"
[01:57] <Liz> "No, I'm getting my parents and anyone willing to fight and I'm gonna break out of here."
[01:57] <Liz> "What I need to know is, are you in?"
[01:58] <Rapey_Lemons> "That's completely suicidal," he says, staring at you. "Have you seen the other people in this park? They're either in shock or panicking because the cell phone service is down and they can't find or call their families. And besides, no one here has any weapons."
[01:59] <Rapey_Lemons> "And what about the people who can't fight? Are you just going to ditch them?"
[01:59] <Liz> "Oh great you're one of THOSE types."
[02:00] <Liz> "Look, you got some nice views on life, I'll give you that. It's really commendable, but trying to save everyone can make you let down those closest to you."
[02:00] <Liz> "I'm not gonna take that risk."
[02:00] <Rapey_Lemons> He smiles grimly, shaking his head. "Trust me, I'm not one of 'them'."
[02:01] <Rapey_Lemons> "I'll do what it takes to survive."
[02:01] <Rapey_Lemons> "But your idea is just suicidal."
[02:01] <Liz> "And you have a better idea? Besides the brute force you suggested before?"
[02:03] <Rapey_Lemons> "We hole up here and see what's going on. Brianna and I are pretty confident in our fight abilities. If any monsters come, we can take them out. Meanwhile, let's just see what the authorities want from us. If this was the site of the zombie apocalypse they probably would have blown this whole place up already."
[02:03] <Rapey_Lemons> fighting*
[02:04] <Rapey_Lemons> "We could get food from the restuarants," Brianna suddenly says, done examining the slime.
[02:04] <Liz> "I'm sure the soldiers who fired upon humans on sight will be oh so civil once they find us holed up here."
[02:04] <Rapey_Lemons> Your stomach growls a little as you realize you haven't eaten anything but a hotdog since noon.
[02:05] <Rapey_Lemons> "What?" Sam points toward the crowds of people inside of the main area. "All the customers are still in this park. If they were going to kill us all I'm pretty sure they would have done it sooner."
[02:06] <Liz> "I ran into some people earlier, they were shot at as soon as they tried getting close."
[02:07] <Rapey_Lemons> Sam looks at you skeptically. "Are you sure they were shot at? I didn't hear anything before the shots just now. Were any of them actually injured?"
[02:09] <Liz> "Look, it's the word of a crowd walking away from the gates full of heavily armed soldiers, if they're keeping people from leaving I'm pretty sure I can trust that they were fired at."
[02:10] <Rapey_Lemons> "Makes sense, I guess. But they could easily just be warning people off. Maybe there's something in here they want to keep contained?"
[02:10] <Rapey_Lemons> "I'm boredddd," Briana interjects, whining a little. "Can we just do something already?"
[02:10] <Rapey_Lemons> "Hush, the grown-ups are talking," Sam says, poking Briana.
[02:11] <Liz> "I've got three ideas but you're not gonna like any of them."
[02:11] <Rapey_Lemons> Brianna* Brianna* damnit
[02:11] <Rapey_Lemons> "Let's hear em," Brianna declares, covering Sam's mouth.
[02:13] <Liz> "One of thems attacking the soldiers to escape, the other involves some personal fantasies, but let's ignore those."
[02:13] <Liz> (*others)
[02:14] <Rapey_Lemons> Sam pulls Brianna's hand off of his mouth. "Errr, okay. And I really don't think attacking the soldiers are a good idea, and I don't want to see you killed. If you attack them, it's just going to be a slaughter. Do you have a battle plan in mind?"
[02:15] <Liz> "Like I said, tried stampeding some elephants at them. Killed most of them, then they brought the rocket launchers. That was my trump card."
[02:15] <Rapey_Lemons> "Okay, so are you still going to attack the soldiers?"
[02:16] <Liz> "It's a better idea than holing up here hoping that they're not gonna kill us all."
[02:16] <Rapey_Lemons> "So how are you going to attack them?"
[02:17] <Liz> "Well I was in the middle of asking people for help when I met you guys."
[02:18] <Rapey_Lemons> "Okay, so assuming you get these random, untrained, scared people to help you, then what? Charge at the soldiers?"
[02:19] <Liz> "You really don't listen much do you? I was trying to find people who knew the area, that knowledge helps plan things better, helps find less defendable positions, possible emergency exits underground."
[02:19] <Liz> "At the very least they can make for a good distraction."
[02:21] <Rapey_Lemons> "My point is, even if you accomplished all of those things, what are you going to attack the soldiers with? You can't sneak out, Brianna says they have the entire perimeter covered. You have no weapons, because everyone was searched before entering the park. All you can do is throw people at the soldiers and then attempt to escape in the confusion, which would be highly unlikely considering the
[02:21] <Rapey_Lemons> amount of soldiers and the firepower that they have."
[02:22] <Rapey_Lemons> "Trust me, I've had some... experience in these things."
[02:22] <Liz> "......They're not looking for the two of you by any chance...are they?"
[02:24] <Rapey_Lemons> "Nah," he said, shaking his head. "We've been, uh, cleared."
[02:24] <Rapey_Lemons> Brianna coughs a little, laughing silently at Sam's choice of words.
[02:24] <Rapey_Lemons> "And you said I was spilling secrets."
[02:24] <Liz> "And what exactly do you mean by that. Depending on your answer, I may offer some information of my own."
[02:25] <Rapey_Lemons> "I, uh, was trapped in an area for a couple of months with some other kids. Things went crazy, people died, starved to death, literally coughed their lungs out, murdered each other for the smallest things..."
[02:26] <Rapey_Lemons> He blinks, shaking his head. "Anyways, I led a faction for the most part of fit, managed to stay alive and protect a few people before we got out."
[02:26] <Rapey_Lemons> "Oh come on, you're making it sound boring," Brianna complains.
[02:28] <Rapey_Lemons> Sam ignores her. "Anyways, after we got out, we got cleared of any charges for the crime we committed in there. And that's about it."
[02:28] <Rapey_Lemons> crimes*
[02:28] <Liz> "Then I'll offer you this, I'll help you however you can so long as you promise to help keep my family safe."
[02:30] <Rapey_Lemons> "Deal," he says, grinning. "You might want to keep that artifact on your arm hidden, though. Seems like it would attract quite a bit of attention."
[02:30] <Liz> "But I'm warning you.....if you're lying to me, if the soldiers start to kill off everyone in here....."
[02:30] <Rapey_Lemons> He frowns a little. "I can't tell you if they are or aren't going to kill off everyone. But Brianna and I will fight to protect you if it comes to that."
[02:31] <Rapey_Lemons> "Yeah!" Brianna agrees enthusiastically.
[02:31] <Liz> "That's not what I'm asking for. I'm asking you to keep my parents safe, not me."
[02:32] <Rapey_Lemons> "We can do that, too. So any plans on what to do now? Securing some food seems like a good place to start, considering we have no idea how long we'll be in here for."
[02:32] <Rapey_Lemons> "I'm hungry," Brianna agrees.
[02:33] <Rapey_Lemons> "That's not really what I meant," Sam responds. "But yeah, I'm hungry too."
[02:33] <Liz> "There's some food nearby on the condor trail, but it's not that defenseable of a position from what I saw."
[02:35] <Liz> "That is unless you two are willing to knock out some bridge supports to isolate the area."
[02:36] <Rapey_Lemons> "Err, wait a moment," Sam says, pulling out his map. "Aha, here it is. There's a resturant back at Bats exhibit, on the way to the tram."
[02:36] <Rapey_Lemons> He points to the thing on the map that says "Mombasa Cooker and Market"
[02:37] <Rapey_Lemons> "You wanna grab your parents and head over there?"
[02:38] <Liz> "Hate to say it, but that sounds like a place everyone with a brain would herd to. How sure are you that we won't be mobbed or killed in our sleep if we go there?"
[02:39] <Rapey_Lemons> Sam looks at the main area, noting the amount of people there. "I think most of the people are over there in that area, but if anyone else has the same idea as us and doesn't want to share, we could take them out."
[02:41] <Liz> "Fine, but if we get attacked in the night, you're buying me a drink."
[02:43] <Rapey_Lemons> "Sure," he grins, "But I'm warning you, I already have a girlfriend."
[02:44] <Rapey_Lemons> "So Brianna and I will head there first, alright? We'll clear the place out while you grab your parents."
[02:44] <Liz> "I said you're buying me a drink, not what I was thinking earlier."
[02:44] <Liz> "And yeah that sounds good."
[02:44] <Rapey_Lemons> "Right," Sam says, blushing a little. Brianna laughs at him.
[02:45] <Rapey_Lemons> With one final goodbye, Sam begins heading toward the area, Brianna running ahead of him and telling him to hurry up.
[02:45] <Rapey_Lemons> (What do you do?)
[02:45] * Liz will go looking for her parents.
[02:46] <Rapey_Lemons> You begin walking toward the main area, in search of your parents.
[02:46] <Rapey_Lemons> Roll Notice

[02:51] <Liz> "Man you're cute I'll give you that. Not cute enough to piss off your parents though."
[02:51] * Liz looks around the area, searching for a larger cat.

[02:52] <Liz> (Hah)
[02:52] <Rapey_Lemons> You see nothing around the kitten, and you are reasonably sure there are no parents around it. It tumbles out of the bush, scrambling to get up, then looks at you and meows before taking a few trembling steps toward you.
[02:53] <Liz> "Well....maybe for a few seconds..."
[02:53] * Liz bends down and beckons the kitten over.
[02:53] <Rapey_Lemons> Roll animal
[02:54] <Liz> )roll 1d100-20
[02:54] * Crunk --> "Liz rolls 1d100-20 and gets 15."
[02:54] <Rapey_Lemons> It comes toward you hesitantly at first, then closes the distsance and jumps into your arms, burying itself into your chest.
[02:55] <Rapey_Lemons> Its tremors subside as it relaxes and eventually falls asleep.
[02:55] <Liz> "Awwwww, well aren't you adorable? Tell you what, you can come with me, but if your mom comes by you're going back with her okay?"
[02:56] <Rapey_Lemons> The kitten nuzzles at you sleepily and closes its eyes again.
[02:56] * Liz gently picks up the kitten and continues to look for her parents.
[02:58] <Rapey_Lemons> As you walk through the main area, you see people setting with their family or friends and comforting each other, a few of them still futilely attempting to make calls or access the internet.
[02:58] <Rapey_Lemons> Roll notice

[03:00] <Rapey_Lemons> You don't notice anything out of the ordinary as you look for your parents. You find them a few minutes later, sitting underneath the shade of a building and talking with a man who is speaking animatedly and gesturing wildly.
[03:01] <Liz> "Hey mom, hey dad....Elephants didn't work."

[03:02] <Rapey_Lemons> "Don't worry, we saw them too," your mother says, attempting to calm him down. "Oh, will you look at that, my daughter is back! It was nice talking to you."
[03:03] <Rapey_Lemons> She quickly gets up, dragging your father with her as they walk away from the man. "I heard gunfire. Are you okay?"
[03:03] <Liz> "So good news bad news."
[03:03] <Liz> "Good news? I'm okay."
[03:04] <Liz> "Bad news? We've gotta hole up here for a while. I found some people we might be able to trust and we're gonna bunker down in one of the restaurants."
[03:05] <Rapey_Lemons> "Is it okay for you to have that cat?" your father asks. "...Can I pet it?"
[03:06] <Rapey_Lemons> "That's not really bad news, Beth. THat sounds like a good plan. Who are the people you found?" your mother asks.
[03:07] <Liz> "It's bad news for me, I just wanna get out of here and go home...."
[03:07] <Liz> "And as for this little thing? Well it's not like the zoo keepers can say much in this situation."
[03:08] <Rapey_Lemons> "I know you want to go home, sweetie, but perhaps waiting is a better choice. Guns aren't a joke."
[03:08] <Rapey_Lemons> Your father strokes the cat and makes cooing noises at it.
[03:08] <Rapey_Lemons> "So, where are we going?"
[03:09] <Liz> "The Mombasa Cooker and Market."
[03:09] <Rapey_Lemons> Your mother nods. "Sounds like a place with food, and your father and I are getting a little hungry. Lead the way."
[03:10] * Liz makes her way to the Market with her parents in tow.
[03:11] <Rapey_Lemons> As you head towards the area, you pass bar animal enclosures that are half full, the remaining animals lethargic and laying on the ground. A few of the glass enclosure have been shattered from the inside, some pieces of glass with blood still on them.
[03:12] <Rapey_Lemons> But you arrive at the restuarant safely, Sam and Brianna waving at you from entrance.
[03:13] <Liz> "Hey, how did things go?"
[03:13] <Rapey_Lemons> "Hey, uh, what's your name again?" Sam asks. "The place seems clear. There's another couple in here and they're fine with sharing the place with the five of us."
[03:14] <Liz> "Wilhelmina, nice to meet you."
[03:16] <Rapey_Lemons> Your parents look at you strangely. "Wait a minute," your father begins, but your mother elbows him in the ribs. "And I'm Catalina and this is my husband, Jerry."
[03:18] <Rapey_Lemons> "Well, that's a mouthful," Sam says. "The other two inside are Tom and Susan."
[03:19] <Rapey_Lemons> "Alright then, you wanna take a look inside?"
[03:19] <Liz> "You can just call me 'Mina if you like."
[03:19] <Rapey_Lemons> "Sure, that's easier."
[03:20] <Liz> "And looking around would be great."
[03:21] <Rapey_Lemons> Sam pushes the doors open and Brianna walks inside, the three of you following along.
