- She loved Rupert. She really did. But once she aged up into adulthood, something clicked within her. Confined to the chains of a relationship, the anxiety within her grew stronger. It's not like she wasn't in love. She didn't even want anyone but him. But being in a relationship became too much to her.
- She invited Rupert over and broke up. She felt relieved, but seeing his heart get crushed right in front of her was almost too much to bear. Yet, after he left that night, confused and in tears, Ophelia slept better than she had in weeks.
- Your actions tend to always come back to you in the end, though. Not even a week after they had separated, Ophelia felt something was missing. She never thought she'd feel like a puzzle missing a piece, as her mother always said. She was torn. She was more than happy to not be in a relationship anymore, yet, something was missing. And that something was Rupert. She went back to spending her nights wondering what she was supposed to do, rather than sleeping.
- She decided to invite him over to the island bluffs. Indeed, Rupert was anything but willing. For no reason, the woman in his life, the woman he wanted a future with, had broken his heart. He wanted to heal, not meet her again. But, a boy in love is still a boy in love.
- So there they met. At first he was reluctant and angry. But it didn't take long for them to enter each other's arms. There was no question that Rupert was angry. But, they both needed each other. It didn't take long for Ophelia's actions to come back to her. She apologized, said it was wrong of her to break up, and to call Rupert out there. She said she still didn't want a relationship, but that she needed him. And it was all true. She wasn't a stupid woman, though. Rupert wanted a future, he wanted to recover. And Ophelia wouldn't be in the picture. She smiled softly
- "This was downright idiotic of me. I'm sorry," she said and started walking away. She didn't get far, before Rupert grabbed her wrist.
- "Please," he said. "Give me one more night with you." Ophelia was surprised. She didn't deserve it, she didn't deserve him. But she couldn't refuse. She wasn't strong enough. And as it seems, neither was he.
