Golds Backstory

I see Gold as an adventurer turned WoL. She IS the WoL but after the trials and tribulations of growing up of course. My canon backstory for Gold is that she was born and grew up in the Azim Steppe into an unamed tribe of blue eyed Lancer and Marauder hunters and gatherers. The tribe would break gender barriers and have both the men and women hunt and gather so Gold was to be raised a hunter. She was the first and only child born into the Fenikkusu family, however unlike her blue eyes parents, she was born with a single golden eye that symbolizes the aether flowing through her. This sparked them to give her the name she goes by. Her father wished and eventually demanded that she learn to wield a spear and become a Lancer like himself, however due to the overwhelming aether flowing through her she wished to become an Arcanist. So instead of fighting back, she studied the arcane arts in secret using books she gained from traders in Reunion while maintaining her Lancer training with her family and after 17 years of living on the Steppe with her family, she escaped from the tribe with only a long note apologising to her mother for leaving. She escaped all the way to Doma where she took refuge in the local guild and found comfort in a drunk and lonely scholar who saw potential in the young girl, however knew she was too powerful to learn the ways of the scholars. For the next 2 years she worked under the man as his understudy, exchanging knowledge for the arts in return for keeping his small shack outside the city clean and fresh. Now unfortuantley I haven't thought of the events that happened in those two years but by the end of it, the Garlean occupation had begun and she was seperated from the man she saw as her mentor and escaped with other refugees on a boat bound for Kugane. There she met with an Eorzean who heard her plight and allowed her to escape on a ship bound for the island of Vylbrand. There she hoped to finish her training at the Arcanists Guild in Limsa Lominsa, Eorzea. Along side her on the ship were twins who both paid her no mind while she drifted off into sleep. There she dreamed of a floating plane of existence, and a giant crystal who spoke to her......
