  1. PP Sidestory/Backstory Lore Story Idea Question by ~Infitima Sep 5, 2011
  2. This is a sidestory/backstory thing I asked about and what I wanted to do, I'm not gonna roleplay it but would comics be allowed?
  3.
  4. First of all it does tie into Niko's history but whether it's true or not is a mystery...
  5.
  6. Basically, the meowth-charm pocket chain that Niko wears hanging on his pants is very rare and known to many Meowth and is the reason his mother is dead.
  7. His father a Persian leader of a street gang murdered his hooker mother for the family heirloom that she wore as a necklace believing it to be the one of legend. Cops busted it before he could take off with it though and Niko wound up with it. There's more detail but that's a basic.
  8.
  9. Now the chain/necklace its self isn't rare but one of the charms on it (the main one that hangs farther than the rest is thought to have once been owned by Nikolai a meowth of legend and lore. His charm (the one he had at birth/wore for all Meowth) is thought to have contained tremendous power that upped Nikolai's skill tenfold and made him powerful, but that's just speculation of legend.
  10.
  11. The true lore (not that it's true but how the real story went) and how it went (this is where the Legendaries come in) is that...
  12.
  13. A long time ago there was a meowth that couldn't evolve. Try as he might he couldn't manage to evolve like other pokemon, whether this was genetic or what is never explained but he felt weak and powerless compared to others because of it.
  14.
  15. So legend follows he finally decided to find a way to evolve. Since Meowth didn't evolve with stones like others the only way he could find to accomplish this was to request it from a legendary so he searched hard to find Jirachi to grant his wishes.
  16.
  17. Before he could see Jirachi however he had to go through one of the lower legendaries and thus came across Lugia. Lugia told him in order to request a wish from Jirachi he would have to visit the other legendaries and receive their item. The legendaries would go as followed, The 3 Birds: Moltress, Articuno and Zapados who each held the Fire, Water, and Thunder Stones. Mew and Metwo with the Dusk and Dawn Stone. Celebi who held the Leaf Stone, Rayquaza and the Shiny Stone, Ho-Oh with the Sun Stone. And at last return to Lugia who would grant the Moon Stone. With these gathered, then would Nikolai be granted an audience with Jirachi.
  18.
  19. However Nikolai had to prove himself to each of the Legendaries in his search, such as showing qualities in trials that didn't seem like a task to Nikolai till the resulting Legendary appeared before him and revealed that it was and that for it had earned each stone.
  20.
  21. When finally he is granted the audience however, he learns that Jirachi is unable to be granted that as in Nikolai's heart he has already become strong and does not need to evolve. When Nikolai realizes all the lessons he had learned on the quests for these stones, he becomes humble and realizes he doesn't need to evolve and for that Jirachi grants him the final stone, The Everstone.
  22.
  23. For his efforts and humility learned on this quest, shards of each of the stones were placed into the back of Nikolai's charm to serve as a reminder of that event and to give strength from the lessons learned to Nikolai whenever he needs it. (Not real strength upgrade, more of a symbolic power.)
  24.
  25. The charm Niko has through his mother is the same one Nikolai had with the evolution stones in it that he passed down to his kids and to theirs till it wound up with Nyah his distant ancestor.
  26.
  27. I ask if this is allowed because then the shards would be in the charm but painted over with gold paint, which Niko would discover when he eventually has to face his father. HOWEVER not that the lore is real, as Nikolai could have just been a Meowth that collected stones and place them in himself or it could be reall, that's why it's a legend and the truth of it lost in history.
  28.
  29. ...So yeah sorry about that flood, but would it be allowed? I'd love to draw the comic but since I'd be drawing gijinka of the legendary just how I'd picture them in the legend (not defining them as that as it is a legend and nothing more) I wasn't sure if this would be allowed.

  36. We've discussed this, and decided to allow it, but there is the fact that this lore/backstory cannot be true, because the legendaries are being used in the PP storyline and a backstory/personality/goals have already been decided for them.
  37.
  38. Also, we suggest having the legendaries not in gijinka form, but in their pokemon form.

  42. Alright! Awesome.I didn't expect it to be tree, it was more of a "passed on for generations and has changed so many times over the years type lore."
  43.
  44. So can the charm have shards of the stones in it that Nikolai put them there himself in reality. (as in the truth of the lore) that way they're still there but the actual Legend isn't true?

  52. Yes, the shards in the back of the charm can be true.
