- [Us hunting Tosha, waiting for final hunter to come around so hiding in the trees overhead to avoid spirits. Had been talking about Festival stuff as I followed him around~]
- You tilt your head curiously at Xenthos.
- In the trees above within the Tosha Pits.
- ==== You are in the trees ====
- The shadowy outline of a twisted forest casts a dark gloom here. The walls of these pits are covered in ancient scripts of a tongue foreign to you, the etchings done with a jagged tool and with aggression. An eerie glow fills the pit, its flickering light dancing about, bringing the shadows alive. The sand here has been dug up in various spots and deep groves have been made, as if bodies have been dragged through here. Wails and screams echo off the walls and trail off further into the pits. Completely motionless, a slender leothin intently surveys its surroundings. A leopard lurks in the shadows, curiously watching anything that moves. Clad in matte black leather, a golden-eyed savage lingers here like a living shadow.
- You see exits leading northeast, southeast, southwest, and northwest.
- Faintly buzzing, you say, "What."
- Looking down, you say, "Are doing up here."
- Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "We're waiting for the last hunter."
- You chirp happily at Xenthos.
- You pet Ilistala, an enormous leopard ingratiatingly.
- A loud rumbling emanates from Ilistala as she rubs against you.
- Viravain strokes a wickedly curved scythe tenderly.
- Xenthos blinks.
- You blink.
- LOOK VIRAVAIN
- She is a radiant immortal and is possessed by a ghostly countenance that haunts the very depths of Her being. Shimmering hair the colour of a harsh winter's snow spills over Her shoulders and down Her back in a straight fall, meticulously twisted into a loose plait mid-back with a single bit of silver thread. Striking pale blue eyes are deep set within Her youthful face, haunted and fathomless as they rarely stay focused in a single place. As befitting Her youthful appearance, Her figure is slight and willowy and each of Her arms is slender, ending in sylphlike fingers and meticulously sculpted nails. Dark shadows swarm sinuously at the corners of Her slender silhouette, their movements manifesting a phantasm of bewitching grace.
- She is wearing:
- an earring fashioned from a feather of Crow through Her left ear
- an exquisite, intricately webbed black rose brooch nestles against Her chest, holding closed Her cloak
- a tenebrous gown of manifold shadows
- a ghastly white silk pouch draped lightly around Her waist
- an earring fashioned from a feather of Crow through Her right ear
- a hooded cloak of stygian darkness
- a crown of midnight black roses rests atop Her head, black vines twisting into the white tresses of Her hair.
- Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "Greetings, Lady Viravain."
- (The Shadow Kindred): You say, "My heart just stopped."
- (The Shadow Kindred): Xenthos says, "Gurashi."
- (The Shadow Kindred): Xenthos says, "Someone's in troooooouble."
- You have emoted: Gurashi leans back in his spot, staring at Viravain in confusion. "...m..any greetings!"
- Lightly, Her eyes kind, Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says to you, "What did you settle on for prizes, child?"
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "...o-oh! Uhm."
- Tilting Her head, Viravain lifts the corners of Her mouth into a tight smile. "I come in answer to your prayer. Or did you not wish for Me to reply?"
- You have emoted: Gurashi stares at Viravain for a long, confused moment, before coming to his senses and offering a deep, frantic bow. "O-o-oh my goodness, m-many greetings M-Miss Lady of Roses!" He eeks out, turning red.
- The timbre in Her voice soft and low, Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "What a thoroughly nervous creature."
- Viravain reaches out to tenderly cup your cheek in Her hand.
- Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "Yet he accomplishes much, my Lady."
- You have emoted: Gurashi's initial anxiety visibly lifts at the touch, and he glances sidelong at Viravain, sheepishly bowing his head. "Oh."
- Viravain raises an eyebrow questioningly.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "Indeed?"
- You blush furiously.
- Viravain strokes a wickedly curved scythe tenderly.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "Gurashi go on, then. Regale Me with a tale. Tell Me what you have accomplished for the Wyrd."
- Ilistala, an enormous leopard tilts her head and listens intently to you.
- You have emoted: Gurashi looks quickly from Viravain, then over to Ilistala, an enormous leopard, locking a panicked gaze with the leopard. Finally, he looks up at Xenthos, shoulders sagging, seeming at a loss for words.
- Bizirik, the leothin snorts, craning its neck to sniff gently at the bottom of Viravain's cloak, tail lifting with interest.
- Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says to you, "You could list your assistance with our battles, or your fights with the oven to feed the Forest, or even your efforts upon the stage. We did just do a play about the littlest spider, after all."
- Still stunned, you say to Viravain, "... uh, I ... cook."
- Lowering Her Scythe, Her eyes blank, Viravain replies, stoically, "You cook."
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "I see."
- Dazed, you say to Viravain, "...am.. not so good at fighting, but... do go to as many fights as can, so can help secure... what needs to be got, for the Glomdoring."
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "But ... mostly, I .. cook."
- You blush furiously.
- (The Shadow Kindred): You say, "Womp womp womp."
- (The Shadow Kindred): You say, "It was nice knowing you xenthos."
- You twiddle your thumbs.
- Viravain steps closer to you, the boredom in Her eyes fading as She steps. "The splintered Keph always remind Me of my own creations." She pauses, Her hand outstretched as if to touch your antennae. "It is a shame the kephera once tried to destroy My forest. They would have been strong allies."
- You have emoted: Gurashi lifts his gaze towards his own antennae as Viravain reaches for them, stiffening. "...am... very sorry," He says after a moment of silence,.
- Viravain waves Her hand dismissively.
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "W-was not, alive when it happened, but - do feel awful about."
- You twiddle your thumbs.
- Viravain smiles faintly, Her eyes flashing green.
- Shrugging, a casual lift of one shoulder, Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "You will not be held responsible for the stupidity of your cousins."
- You have emoted: Gurashi continues to fidget nervously, looking back up to Viravain, fighting his urge to look at his feet. "Many thank yous. If is, uh, any consolation, when go to hives try to find others that will love Wyrd as much as I do!" He seems to brighten at the thought.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "If that were how I held the standard of My followers, then one might argue that I am to blame for Eventru."
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "For He is, after all, My Cousin."
- Showing that you understand, you nod your head slowly towards Viravain.
- Smirking, Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "Well. Was."
- You blink.
- You have emoted: Gurashi smiles weakly.
- Viravain reaches forward to cup your cheek once more, this time, Her nails digging lightly into the carapace. "Do not give Me reason to doubt your loyalty, child. It is all I ask of anyone who dwells within My forest." She releases you with a smile and then steps back.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "Now. What did you select for prizes? What would you ask of Me?"
- You have emoted: Gurashi flinches the barest amount, nodding quickly. "Y-yes ... oh!"
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "Uh, gosh! Prizes, uhm."
- You have emoted: Gurashi begins patting down his vest pockets, then the outer pockets of his bag, then turns completely to remove his pack, dropping it to the ground to root around through it. Eventually he comes out with a folded piece of paper - checks it, shakes his head, stuffs it back inside. A repeat of the motion, and he finally stands once more, producing a little piece of paper. "Prizes weeeerrre..."
- Viravain taps a finger along the edge of Her scythe, an audible exhale escaping Her lips.
- Reading from the sheet, you say, "Were going to be two types of contests: one for Wyrden designs representing Wyrden themes open to Glomdoring peoples, and smaller one of just ... small, fun things. Like, decorating a tree, and ... ugly shirts."
- Folding the paper again, you say, "So... credits to the design contests, golds to the fun events ... which, uhm, if is allowed, allies could participate in too."
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "...if is O-K."
- Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "Ugly shirts?"
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Xenthos, "Yeah, thought would be fun to design a ... funny ... jacket or ... sweater."
- You stare implacably at Xenthos.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "I wish for My forest to be happy serving Me. If your ideas will accomplish this, then you have My permission to carry out your plans."
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "And you may add My highest favour to the list."
- You give a short gasp of elation.
- Perking up, you exclaim to Viravain, "Ah - really?? Many many thank yous!"
- Viravain nods Her head.
- Faintly buzzing, you ask, "So, winner of Wyrden design contests will get a ...highfavor from, Miss Lady of Roses?"
- You tilt your head curiously at Viravain.
- Viravain's eyes sparkle with amusement.
- Faintly buzzing, you ask, "Or highest of favor, which is ... highest...favor?"
- You have emoted: Gurashi's eyes narrow in confusion at the thought.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "A True Favour, child. For ten months."
- You beam broadly at Viravain.
- Scribbling on the paper as best as he can without a clipboard, you say, "True ... favor ... ten... months..."
- You chirp happily at Viravain.
- Pausing again, Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "I favour the voice of Mahalla. Her song blends so beautifully with My creations."
- You blink.
- You beam broadly.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "Perhaps, if it is not already included, there can be a singing component? One to honour the Song of the Wyrd?"
- Ilistala, an enormous leopard tilts her head and listens intently to you.
- Interested, you say, "A singing component ..."
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "Would like to be ... a contest? Or would like for just to sing about? Because either would be great."
- You chitter at Viravain with energetic clicks of your mandibles.
- Musingly, Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "A contest."
- Faintly buzzing, you exclaim, "O-K! Would be a perfect theme for contest, Miss Lady of Roses - am liking it!"
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "Invite My Cousins to judge. Let us see whether They, too, know good music."
- You blink.
- Faintly buzzing, you ask, "Cousins?"
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "I trust you have heard of Them?"
- Tilting his head, you ask Viravain, "...are ... meaning other Divine?"
- Viravain's eyes twinkle enchantingly.
- Faintly buzzing, you exclaim to Viravain, "Was going to invite Lord Silence of course!"
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "Mm."
- Faintly buzzing, you exclaim to Viravain, "Though, has not been ... feeling so well, lately, think, so am not sure if will come, but He is invited!"
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "The Lord of Silence is perhaps not the greatest judge for a singing competition." <-- SHOTS FIRED
- You stare blankly into space.
- Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "I could perhaps win by just standing there."
- You have emoted: Gurashi lets out a sudden chittering laugh.
- You shake your head.
- Faintly buzzing, you ask Viravain, "Do have any suggestions for Whom to invite?"
- You chitter at Viravain with energetic clicks of your mandibles.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "Let us invite the Lady Maylea. I am also intrigued by Lady Czixi."
- You give a short gasp of elation.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "And let us not forget the Enchantress."
- Writing on the page again, you say, "Lady ... May... lea.... wait."
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "And, hmm."
- Viravain strokes a wickedly curved scythe tenderly.
- You have emoted: Gurashi pauses, staring at the page, re-reading the name, then looking at Viravain, surprised. He stares for a time before returning to writing, nodding.
- Faintly buzzing, you ask, "Can invite Shofet?"
- You tilt your head curiously at Viravain.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "Mm? What, pray, is a Shofet?"
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "Mister-and-Missus Mysrai."
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "...do not know what a Shofet is. Is a They."
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "Ah -- you mean Mysrai. Very well, yes."
- You give a short gasp of elation.
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "Many thank yous!"
- You beam broadly at Viravain.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns smiles and says, "Be sure to call upon all of our druidic powers of rainfall simply to erase the stench of myrrh from My woods when They leave."
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "Oh, uh, sure! Yes! Will add to closing tasks."
- Writing and talking to himself again, you say, "Erase ... myrrh ... stink... with water."
- You nod your head sagely.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "You may invite the riffraff from New Celest, if it pleases you. Similar closing task, but this time, I wish for My forest to not smell like a shipping vessel."
- Still writing, you say, "No ... shipping ... ves-sel."
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "Maybe... the song could happen on day two? Will be pretty busy on day one, but second day would be a Solstice bonfire, with story telling, and hopefully even a play!"
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "As you wish."
- Gesturing grandly, as if seeing the words before him, you say to Viravain, "A Song to Honor the Wyrd..."
- You have emoted: Gurashi chitters excitedly to himself, staring at some point in space before writing it down, clearly running out of room as he turns the page this way and that.
- Faintly buzzing, you ask Viravain, "Do want to offer same prize to winner of song contest...?"
- Faintly buzzing, you ask Viravain, "The uhm, true favors, for ten months?"
- Viravain's eyes sparkle with amusement.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "The winner will certainly receive a prize, of My choosing."
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "Oh! O-K!"
- You beam broadly at Viravain.
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "Prize of Your choosing ...O-K."
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says to you, "Ah - Gurashi."
- Visibly excited, you say, "How uhm... if are inviting Your cousins, how do feel about inviting any of peoples from Their organizations? Not for all of events, but maybe to witness song contests, and closing bonfire."
- With a shrug, you say to Viravain, "As ... long as behave."
- Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "I think there will be some disapproval of those who are enemies of the Glomdoring, at least."
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "Other organizations, even from Ironhart alliance, have opened borders to peoples like self."
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Xenthos, "Well, yes."
- You ponder the situation.
- Shrugging, Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "They may come, if the greater Glomdoring wishes. It would be foolish of them to do anything but behave."
- Faintly buzzing, you say, "Do not think could invite -everyone- ... but if they can see how great Wyrd is up close ..."
- Curiously, Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says to you, "What inspired the bumblebee design on the cup cake that you sent to Me?"
- Faintly buzzing, you exclaim to Viravain, "Ah - will see what peoples think, then ... many thank yous. Of course Glomdoring's safety comes first!"
- You blink.
- You blush furiously.
- Shyly, you say to Viravain, "Uh... friend of mine - Miss Ishra - told me that am a bumblebee."
- "Oh?" Viravain exclaims quizzically.
- You nod your head emphatically.
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "Mean, look like Glomdoring cicada, sort-of if look really close, but..."
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "I never could quite get their toxins right. Perhaps a project for another time."
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "A longer stinger, perhaps?"
- You stare blankly at Viravain.
- Faintly buzzing, you say to Viravain, "...oh, the bee you mean!"
- Covering his face, you say to Viravain, "Thought were talking about cupcake."
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says, "Farewell, little bee. May your sting be that of a wasp's."
- You have emoted: Gurashi shakes his head, coming back to himself. "Oh, uh - many thank yous, Miss Lady of Roses...!"
- You smile softly at Viravain.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says to Xenthos, "And farewell, Spirit Warden. I approve of Gurashi."
- You blink.
- You blush furiously.
- Xenthos smiles softly.
- Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "As do I."
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns has bestowed Her divine truefavour upon you. It will last for 5 months.
- You have emoted: Gurashi covers his face again, turning red.
- Muffled through his hands, you say, "Many thank yous."
- You see the following people here:
- Xenthos, Viravain, Gurashi.
- Viravain, Lady of the Thorns says to you, "I look forward to your festival, Gurashi."
- You beam broadly at Viravain.
- Coiling sinuously about Her petite frame, stygian shadows cloak Viravain in an unnatural darkness and evanesce into the aether, leaving behind only the faintest scent of roses.
- ***Later on, invited Vira to participate in Secret Solstice because I didn't want to be -rude- and not invite our commune's Patron***
- Like spiders weaving a web, the voice of Viravain, Lady of the Thorns crawls across your mind, "My gift is the Wyrd, Gurashi."
- Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Viravain, Lady of the Thorns, "...that is a pretty good gift."
- Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Viravain, Lady of the Thorns, "Many thank yous!"
- You hum a happy tune.
- Faintly buzzing, you say, "Day two, day two."
- Like spiders weaving a web, the voice of Viravain, Lady of the Thorns crawls across your mind, "It is. I will bestow gifts upon those who honour My creation as I see fit. Not at the whims of mortals."
- Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Viravain, Lady of the Thorns, "O-K! Many, many thank yous, Miss Lady of Roses! Will continue to do best and honor and serve Wyrd that can - and, so will everyone else!"
- Like spiders weaving a web, the voice of Viravain, Lady of the Thorns crawls across your mind, "Indeed, you will."
- Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Viravain, Lady of the Thorns, "Hope that allies that come into forest will see beauty of Wyrd for selves that way we see it, and maybe even join us!"
- Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Viravain, Lady of the Thorns, "Like Miss Kreon did! ...anyway, will let get back to ... Divine things. And, will invite cousins as soon as finish this post for Glomdoring! Many thank yous again!"
- Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Viravain, Lady of the Thorns, "...just to verify - am inviting cousins to judge the song contest only? Or do want to invite to whole party?" <-- SHE DIDn'T ANSWERRR
- Like spiders weaving a web, the voice of Viravain, Lady of the Thorns crawls across your mind, "I am curious to see how you weave this web, little bee."
- You have emoted: Gurashi lets out a short, giddy cicada sound before promptly covering his mouth.
