- JP let out bursts of plasma at a group of charging Vampires. Three had fallen and the other two snarled and charged. Vengeance aimed at the two and fired, ending their life of service to Lord d'Arquebus. She glanced behind and called out her team.
- "Dominic, Diamondblade, get to the front and help the Tribune-Commander!" She ordered. "Redbane, Glassflow, watch our rear!" She added. "Gasfire, Rollshot, watch our side!"
- "Yes sir!" They all yelled in reply. Most of them were wearing black Battle Gear trimmed in grey or steel color but Vengeance only remains in all black.
- She dropped a knee to the ground and opened fire at a trio of advancing Insurgents. The Human enemies didn't got the chance to strike back as plasma balls hit them in their visors. This has blinded them forever as the wound immediately cauterizes. Vengeance fired at the same spot, killing them.
- She sprang to her feet and jogged a few meters with Dominic and Diamondblade following behind her. They were heading to the spot where JP is standing. When they reached him, Vengeance decided to stay with the Tribune-Commander for a little while as they continued to mow down Demons and Monsters alike.
- Drawing a small machete, Vengeance swung her blade in an arc. The attack has decapitated a sprinting Black Marionette. Its brittle porcelain head fell to the ground, shattering to millions of pieces. She dared not to look at it longer because it was too disgusting even for a Protectorate. She whirled to the right and spotted a Bakeneko. Her finger squeezed the trigger; her rifle dispensed a trio of plasma balls that cooked the Yokai's face. She switched her attention to a fallen Hellfire Marine. She glanced behind her and issued another instruction.
- "Redbane, Glassflow, cover me!" She yelled as she kicked off the ground beneath her and sprinted to the fallen Demon.
- She never expects this battle would be violent and dangerous. All she knows is that they were in for a light skirmish against the Demons or some low life Monsters prowling in the night. But it seems like it's New York Square all over again.
- Firing at a Shadowhelm Demon who was standing on the top of a Hellfire Marine, she strafed and charged. The Demon simply blocked her attacks and laughed maniacally. What it didn't noticed is the bayonet that has already been deployed under the barrel of Vengeance's weapon. She climbed up the Hellfire Marine's fallen body and drilled the bayonet on the neck of the Shadowhelm Demon. She squeezed the trigger even harder as the plasma roasted its metallic faceplate.
- She shoved a fist against its chest, letting it fall to the ground. Its body disassembled upon impact. She studied the dead Hellfire Marine. It was missing a chest. She ignores it as she bent and picked the Ragefire Rifle resting beside it. She plucked out a couple of magazine from its gigantic belt fastened around its waist and slid it on her thigh. She heard a magnetic click! and hefted the rifle at arms length.
- She spotted a Hellfire Marine. Grinning, she was delighted of the fact that she could get to test the rifle on that target. Without hesitation, Vengeance squeezed the trigger and fired. The recoil rattled every inch of her body. She watched her target took a step back as its chest explodes though it didn't kill the Demon.
- She fired another shot and in a second, the chest of the Demon disappeared in an explosion of fire and gore.
- Satisfied of her bloody work, Vengeance slid the Ragefire Rifle to her back and switched to her Blast Rifle. To her left, Glassflow and Redbane were firing at a group of advancing Yokai. Further to the left were the rest of the Strike Team Juliet and JP, battling hordes of Demons and Monsters.
- Dominic dashed across the blood covered street with his rifle aimed at a Vampire. He wasted no time squeezing the trigger, watching the head and the chest of the bloodsucker evaporate in a steam of blood and cooked flesh. He crouched with a knee on the ground and spun to the right, spotting a trio of Insurgents. He fired at the nearest one, first shot splashing against the right shoulder of the Human enemy. He turned at the Protectorate to fire back but Dominic fired at the Insurgent's visor twice. His target fell to the ground in a heap. He jumped to the next target; the one in the center and rapidly squeezed the trigger. Every time the plasma hits, the Insurgent twitches until he was blasted away and hit the ground motionlessly. The last one fired at him; a bullet struck his right eyeball. Dominic let out a laugh as blood poured from his ruined eye. He simply raised the rifle, flicked a switch to set it on its highest setting, and fired at the Insurgent's groin thrice. He watched as the Insurgent let out a bloodcurdling scream as the joy of his life slowly burns away in excruciating pain.
- Flicking the switch back to its default setting, Dominic's right eye slowly heals back until his eyeball took shape, revealing a spotless ball of white. Then slowly, his iris and pupils started to appear. He never felt a thing in its healing process but the shot is painful as hell.
- He jogged forward and strafed, hitting a Bakeneko and an Inugami in the chest. He whirled to the left, spotting a Shadowhelm leaping towards JP. He raised his left hand and blasted the Demon with a streak of lightning, frying it in the process.
- He faced north, towards the general direction of their objective and rapidly fired his weapon at a group of Black Marionettes. His first shot took down a Demon, roasting its face and chest. He aimed slightly to the left and rapidly fired at a Demon, hitting its groin twice then face thrice. The third one fired its pistol at him. He doesn't know what kind of weapon it was but the pistol is identical to the ones used by his former race: the Humans. He let the first shot hit him, the second one, he sidestepped to avoid. He fired back thrice at the chest then once at the face.
- Two remaining Black Marionettes sprinted at him. He deployed the bayonet with an instructive order to the Rifle and charged, slamming the butt of the weapon against the nearest one. Its left cheek broke apart but Dominic didn't care as he launched the butt of his rifle for the second time against the chest of the Demon. It took a step back with a curse. Dominic sliced the Demon's chest diagonally with his bayonet then drilled its tip at the neck of the Demon. He tripped the Black Marionette, pulled the bayonet free, and fired relentlessly at the downed Demon.
- With a quick fluid motion, like an instinct programmed in his mind, he aimed the rifle at the incoming last one and fired thrice at its face. It stopped as its face fell off, revealing a scene of gore. He flicked the switch to its highest setting and fired at the Demon's chest, blowing it away from him.
- Diamondblade fired his Blast Rifle at a Shadowhelm whose back was facing him. He heard a whirring sound to his left and saw a duo of Hellfire Marines aiming their weapons at him. He rolled forward as he avoided a shot but the other one blew his chest out.
- A Protectorate can survive a direct blast from a warhead to the chest, given the fact that it was a Human weapon and a Battle Gear is made to withstand those. Small arms, plasma, kinetic and ballistic weapons created by supernatural races were ineffective against the Praetorian Battle Armor but a heavy weapon forged from Hell that would be an equivalent or perhaps superior than an RPG's warhead would prove to be too much for the Battle Gear to handle. Diamondblade sprawled across the floor. He was motionless as blood slowly pooled around him. His intestines were spilling across the dusty ground.
- Vengeance turned to her fallen comrade. She raised her Ragefire Rifle and fired at each Marine with a couple of bursts to the chest. The eight feet gargantuan soldiers fell to their knees and slumped to the ground, dead. There was simply no time to mourn for the dead, she thought. With a nod to Dominic, she ordered him to grab the fallen weapons, which he obediently did. Dominic had grabbed both weapons and tossed one to one of the Protectorates in his Strike Team.
- "New plans, brothers!" Vengeance yelled over the comms as she touched her earpiece. "Gasfire, Rollshot, Redbane, Glassflow, follow me!" She began leaping over debris after debris and bodies after bodies as she attempted to reach a group of Hellfire Marines marching towards them. When she arrived at a considerable range, she plopped behind a flip car and drew her Ragefire Rifle. She glanced to the left and saw her own team closes in. Vengeance held a fist up; the Protectorates halted their advance. She aimed at the unsuspecting Hellfire Marines and fired at their visored faces. She fired rapidly, taking one down. The Marines stopped to see their Demon brethren falls. She fired two more shots, taking another one down. Wasting no time, she fired at the third one, killing it.
- Vengeance knew her game was up when the remaining two turned at her and raised their rifles. She rolled to the left as the vehicle she was hiding behind a moment ago disappeared in a heap of burning metals. She fired at one of them, managing to hit its left leg. A light damage, she thought. But she fired at the Demon's face and the enemy fell down in a heap. Perhaps pain contributes to its death.
- She fired at the last one, preparing for a final stand in case the Demon charged her. But the Demon simply took a step back as its face visor shatters and its skeletal face disintegrates.
- "Enemy down, brothers!" She yelled before glancing over her shoulder. "Loot the enemies!"
- At that point, Strike Team Juliet has armed themselves with heavy weapons.
- Strike Team Juliet advance further up north towards the Precinct with the rest of the Protectorates following behind. They have left too many bloody corpses on the road which JP calls "Roadkills". The ranks of their enemies has been reduced greatly by their efforts but the Demons were still fighting hard for the control over the streets and possibly, the Precinct. They probably know what they are aiming for.
- "Retreat, cousins!" A Hellfire Marine Legionnaire yelled as he stood and began running back. "Let the canon fodders handle them. We are not going to survive this battle!"
- "But they were just pesky little pests!" A Black Marionette yelled.
- "They are! But do you not see, the Power of their Lord is rests inside them! We cannot beat them!" A Shadowhelm yelled.
- "Just get back to the base, you idiots!" The Hellfire Marine yelled as he interrupted the conversation between the two.
- In the distance, Strike Team Juliet mowed down lines of Demon defenders with their weapons. Glassflow fired his Ragefire twice at the face of a Hellfire Marine. Redbane decapitated a Bakeneko with his sword. Gasfire burned a Vampire with a fireball. Rollshot opened fire at a trio of Black Marionettes. Dominic tossed a grenade at a duo of Shadowhelms and Vengeance sent a spinning kick at an Insurgent. She fired at her face soon after.
- "They are retreating!" Jemwolf yelled as the last of the Demons and Monsters escaped. "Seize the Precinct!!"
