- Chapter Chronos In The Making, Days Of Practice
- After talking with Lyanna. Little Reno had some things on mind, his intellect and his ability to back it up. Right now, that person was probably out there studying. Reno knew that deep down inside, as much as he wanted to rest, that he would have to do the same and so. He got up, left his relaxation on another boat and boarded the hard station of training.
- If he were to perfect the art of the iron fist. Then naturally, through his own intellect would have to discover various ways. In an augmentative method with his time abilities onto his fist. If he wanted to be faster, he would have to do more than just apply magic, but increase his natural strengths in order to obtain the Advanced Time Auras fist.
- "Those Froseals don't know what's comin." Again, to measure his strengths, he ventured to the top of the mountain where he would spend some time fighting against the Froseal and Fropups. He was not ready to advance forward in his training with the Advance Time Magict, he still needed to figure out HOW such a thing would work for him. Or rather, how will he adapt himself to fit such a skill into his arsenal of unarmed combat.
- (Reno)
- Reno stood victorious against the Froseals. He was using his fist to fight and took some advice or rather, a big HINT from Lyanna. He had his eyes focused on the anatomy of the creatures. Why? This was to not just measure himself, but to see how precise he could be when fighting.
- "If I am correct, Advanced Time Auras look for the weak spot... I won't become an Advanced Time Aura however. I will fight like them. And to do so!"
- He strikes the Froseal in the eye, attempting to blind it as he would move himself around to try and knock it unconscious while it was still blinded for the time being. This was just a lucky shot, he had much practice to under-go.
- "I NEED TO THINK LIKE ONE LIKE A REAL MAGI FIGHTER WHO UTILIZE TIME! The Weak points, the vitals! I see what you meant Lyanna! Or at least." He runs about from the slippery ice, trying to hide behind a tree in order to catch his breath.
- "I think I know what you meant!" He stood behind the tree panting, "I don't want anything to do with long range fighting but, using the time magic, it will help me move around... Yeah, by a few clicks of the stop watch, and with my hands as swift as an Advanced Time Auras. I should be able to beat any magi that comes my way right?"
- Reno still saw himself as a normal human. He could easily adopt the skills of a long ranged fighter, but why should he? Reno had his fist, and his body, they were his only weapons and defense, which is why he pursued the skills of an Advanced Time Aura. Or rather, the perfected skills of an unarmed combatant.
- (Reno)
- Reno was silent for now, but his mind was focused on his own movement. he stared the Frobeast down. They were his main obstacle after all. It's what will determine if he can leave this town or not. He had a teacher, but he was going to be brought out into a world where she might not be able to protect him. He had many things on his mind. How he will live on from now, if it would have to be in the shadows for the sole purpose of growing his skill with the Advanced Time Auras fist or if that would be the only way for a true human to survive amongst magi.
- He pondered the thought. He readied himself for combat once more. The Advanced Time Auras fist was a hard concept to grasp, and Reno only had the title in mind but never did he learn the capabilities and how to truly apply them.
- No... He was going based on the theories he's gathered. This stance of his, was the typical Iron Fist stance. The only difference, was how Reno would use it from these days on. To strike at the vitals rather than the body, to read books about the human body, about common anatomy in order to have the upper hand.
- Now he had no desire to kill, but if he should survive this world then killing might be part of that option. So as he continued to fight the Frobeast. He knew, that eventually the day will come where he would have to fight another human or magi to the finish. Now, it's because of this, that he fights these beast day in and day out, only when his body could handle it. He continued to think as a human and as a magi student in the training.
- Reno launched himself forward with amazing speed, (boosted, 131.) Blitzing towards his target, aiming for the temple of the Frobeast before him. This was his method of training. He would study the anatomy of various beast by fighting them, not just by reading up on them alone. He needed the hands on experience. Reno had to do it this way, his way. Or else, such efforts might be lost, long gone and forgotten.
- (Reno)
- Maybe it was thanks to his ability to heal through time, or maybe his precision training was on the mark. But Reno got out of this battle as the victor, facing not one, but two Froseal at the same time. By doing this, it placed much pressure on him not to be knocked unconscious . He did not want these wild beast to get the better of him, but, training with something he knew very little of held him down.
- Even though he was learning the Advanced Time Auras Fist in his own way. There was a danger to it, to being uncertain of ones actions and hesitating to thank before he made his move. Those little seconds where he could have attacked made it hard for him to properly react and thus the minor injuries he sustained from this battle.
- "I was careless. I can't go about doing this again, so, there has to be a better way right? There has to be someone out there that will give me notes." Reno felt like he had not put himself enough in harms way. This stress was the key thing that made him better after al, so he figured that one day, as he was training, that he should test these skills upon an actual magi.
- "I can do this. I will obtain the Advanced Time Aura's Fighting method one way or another." Reno felt tired but he continued to be productive with his time. So he read his book, he had to make sure each movement was right and each strike, even though they are as hard as steel. He had to make them count, maybe even injure the beast along the way. However, this was all easier said than done, because it was theory and a young teen following the instructions of a book. Instructions that were not clear and only gave images to follow.
- If he could not do this. Who is to say that he would even make it in this world. He struggled much, trying to be the magi to represent humanity and its weaknesses. He wanted to make the common man look strong, and by becoming an Advanced Time Aura like fighter, then maybe. People would not look down on the typicalcommoner so much. Maybe he, Reno, the magi born human could make that difference and pass on that wisdom in the course of history.
- Maybe, just maybe. One day, it will be him, to forge a family of people dedicated to the arts of the Advanced Time Auras Fist. Humans who rely little on magic and only utilize their fist as their long ranged weapons. Though for now, Reno only had one thing on his mind. "I will show everyone, that even in the shadows, us humans, we hold the high ground. Our wisdom and our fist are our greatest weapon!"
- (Reno)
- For every punch. "HA!" For every Kick... "Yeeh!" Reno pushed himself, sweating bricks, like a boy creating a river with his own sweat. Like the legend of Gods creating oceans through their tears. Reno was pushing forward, with or without the proper guidance to do so. Because he had volition and time on his side when he said. "The first guy to do it! He couldn't of had someone holding his hand the entire ride down! He had to of figured it out at some point, some where! The answer is within me isn't it! "
- He shouts at the top of his lungs, "THE TRUEST WISDOM IS WITHIN US! We are nothing unless we pressure ourselves to find it right?!" He shouts to the heavens. But now, he noticed, how bloody his fist were. The teen had been training himself to the brink of madness. "I'm over doing it aren't I?" He asked himself.
- Falling to his knees. Reno stared at the snow, and then at the water across from him. He knew that in all this beauty was chaos, but he has to mold himself into someone who could become such chaos in order to protect himself. And to also, protect the secrets of the world. There would be a day where he will learn something, he felt destined for that. But this false sense of hope could very well be just as dangerous for him.
- "I need to get better. I want to get better. This fighting style, it suits me more than dedicating myself fully to magic. I will happily give up on everything dealing with Time Magic if it meant I could achieve a higher power in Unarmed combat..." He sighs, but manages to pick himself back up, standing tall.
- Now, he readied himself for yet another fight. He knew the targeted spots now. To aim for the temple, to strike the eye and cause a temporary blindness. To strike the liver and knock someone down without much resistance. This was his masterpiece, this was his science to embrace. This was his own magic and so, he would mold himself into a teen or person that would be so precise as to utilize the Chronos Aura properly with either that of Fire or the mighty Speed of Time. He believed in himself, he believed in the willpower, the volition within him. Reno was not going another route, nothing else but this, as it was his only wish.
- (Reno)
- Looking out into the distance. There it was, Reno's little training buddy, the Froseal. "Ah shucks. Here we go again." said the young human, getting himself into a more proper fighting stance. "This one, is a little experiment like last time." Reno hopped up and down, light on his toes. But now, he had his eyes dead set on the supposedly vital spots of the Froseal.
- "Just like last time." It bothered him, a lot, because no one else really wanted to face off against him for some reason. So Reno had little to no option with his choice of opponents. Perhaps one day, someone would fight him, but today, was not that day. Instead, he's continue on as he was.
- He rushed forward, striking the Froseal on the temple. Reno tried to be as evasive as possible. He struck the temple, followed by a failed attempt to blind the beast by hitting it's eye. He was a tad bit too slow, or maybe even too fast and unfocused. He was frustrated after all, about the whole sparring partner ordeal. So because of this, it made him only want to enter a true fight more, to show his worth in this world as a human.
- "You think that I've ran out of energy? That I'm just some worthless human huh? Well guess what. You're wrong! I'm going to discover my own fighting style, just you wait beast." He rushed forward yet once again. This time, after defeating the beast. Reno saw where his short comings were. His patience, for he had the urge to always dive into things. Though for now, all he could do and think of, was methods in which would perfect the art of time fighting, the Chronos Aura.
- (Reno)
- Following Ashe out with Felix. He saw this as the perfect chance to develop his new fighting style, or rather a theory in the making. Reno saw the rocky beast. He did not hesitate to get into his fighting stance at all. He stood there with focus and spoke according to his notes.
- "To strike the vitals, to blind them before they can realize what's coming for them. So, NOW!" He blitz forward, looking for a Grodon to take out. And thus the practice of his current level of prowess.
- "If we keep this up, we'll have many Earth crystals." he said as he waits for more beast to appear. Though for now, he practiced his footwork and striking ability.
- (Reno)
- While waiting for Celine to respond. Reno turned to Felix once more after. "If you want, maybe we can go for a few rounds. Help each other get a little stronger, if, you are seeking to become a fighter that is." Reno makes a few gestures here and there to better explain and express his words.
- (Reno)
- [22:14] Frenerid says, "Nothing."
- [22:15] Ashe hugged Frenerid.
- (Ashe Lieyan)
- [22:15] Ashe Lieyan says, "Don't be so gloomy."
- [22:16] Frenerid says, "Hrm..."
- [22:17] Frenerid asks, "What have you been up to?"
- [22:17] Ashe Lieyan says, "Nothing much, just getting kicked out the Order and moving to Theria."
- [22:17] Frenerid says, "That's good."
- [22:17] Frenerid says, "They don't deserve you."
- [22:17] Turning to Reno - "Yeah I see no harm in that, I'm actually looking to become a Doctor, My dad was one but he died before he could really teach me more" Felix explains in a cheery tone ending with a more or less solemn smile.
- (Felix Keemi)
- [22:21] Looking around, trying to see if this field was big enough for their spar. He turns back to Felix, getting into position.
- "Alright then. Maybe this will give you some inspiration, as to what type of medic you wish to become... A medic is always in high demand! You guys can heal and support the field on the go and hardly have a need to enter the front lines."
- Reno awaits Felix. And already did he get into his fighting position. This was another fight on the days of development towards his unique fighting style. "People like you interest me. You are not part of a huge norm, you follow your own path based on whatever events you've gone through."
- And just like Felix. This young lad had goals to reach for.
- (Reno)
- [22:31] The fight had begun, and with little to no idea of what to expect. Reno went in with an open mind, cautious for his opponents strikes. Though, he could understand that Felix was not as experienced as he was. And even though he won this spar, Reno was kind about it.
- "I might be going for an art focused on striking the weak points and vitals. But, I'll always be honorable about it friend." He offered a helping hand to get Felix on his toes.
- Reno, during this spar, had struck the weak spots. Behind the legs, the forearm but only where he knew would slow Felix down. Reno learned from his mistakes, and thought he could help Felix find his own.
- "All you need is a little practice. You like to heal others right? Why don't I take you to the library? Ms.Celine might be out for a while. So, we can learn a little something together, no?" Reno smiled.
- (Reno)
- Later that day.
- Reno traveled up towards the mountains once more. He was ready for another day of training, but without a teacher, it made things difficult for him. So because of this, he had to refer to books, trying to piece together this puzzle.
- "The nose, the neck and eyes. Those are the upper vitals I should worry about. They are easier to reach and the most obvious, but behind them... Are the ears, the temple and the neck. If I strike those, it can be lethal huh?" He had many ideas to go and try to utilize but, unsure if he should use them in day to day sparring sessions.
- "And what if I hurt someone? I guess it's just something I'll have to deal with." Reno prepared himself to face off against another Froseal. He got into the stance of the Iron Fist, trying to adapt to that of the Chronos Aura. Now, he was still trying to practice said skill and perfect it to the point of obtaining it.
- But even though all of that could bedone. He needed time to develop and develop he would do. He launched himself forward, attempting to strike the Froseal on the nose and aim for its temple to knock it out. This was one of those short battles that would continue but within a very brief time frame. And so, this ends the training practice of a single day. His progress, slowly growing as time passes by. "I have to keep trying, till I obtain it!"
- (Reno)
- Tired. Reno began to see what the flaws of his aura was. He saw that, seeing the future, could be somewhat frightening to him. But at the same time, it had it's advantages, foreseeing those possibilities. It's because of this, was he able to calculate his movements. So he did such accordingly... He knew that, as a human, it just might be best, to stick to the shadows.
- And through these calculations, by sticking to the shadows instead of being out in the open. Was he able to strike behind the ears of his Froseal targets, to fight in spars effectively when he stood a fighting chance. And now. He wanted that more than anything, to get the fighting experience...
- Yes, he has stood on the sidelines many times, but now, Reno could not stand it. He hated the idea of being seen as another useless person. He valued the common man, and he knew his worth. The teen was training to become more than a typical human being.
