Discuss at least TWO examples of residual or emergent culture (or one of both--mix it up, as you like) in our world.   Make sure that you provide clear examples of your residual/emergent culture, and explain why you think each is either residual or emergent.

  I need to see at least three separate points developed in your answer. This will be the largest basis for grading.   Responses should be thorough.  This means that you should consider every discussion post as a short essay with a thesis and well developed paragraphs in support.  Proofread and revise your posts, please!  It counts!

I suggest typing your post in a Word document first, and then cutting-and-pasting the text into the discussion box (don't attach a document).  This is a safer way to compose and revise an answer, because any internet interruption can cause you to lose information typed directly into a text box.
