Marley rubs his forehead, "Eugch..." It's that sound you make when someone says something really stupid.

"I dunno how many people could ride on that thing though..."

Vili rolls her eyes, "I dunno, you'd have to ask the messenger himself."

"T-to an...island...? Um, m-maybe that's the right..." sadly nobody agrees with her

Marley:
You follow the Marlinator through a winding cavernous path, lit by mineshaft lights and held up by boards that look pretty dangerously rotted. Metals and crystals jut out from the walls, and Marley does his best to ignore them. Further on, the light grows dimmer, and takes on a strange greenish tint...you wonder why, then realize it's because there are no longer any electric lights set up, and the cave is being lit by the crystals embedded in the walls. "Don't worry, it doesn't stay this eerie long."

Vili:
"I feel like Peri would enjoy the view."
Gerald: (( is it at all similar to the greenish crystal from earlier? ))
Gerald: (( the stone Norm took an interest in ))

Deidra:
"Hey, it matches my hair, huh, Vi?"
Marley: (( It's pretty similar, yeah ))

Vili:
"Heh, it sure does. Now that I'm used to seeing it now... I think I like it more than before."

Gerald:
"Hmm..." Gerald looks at the crystalline surroundings a bit more suspiciously. "Ha, I suppose it's no small wonder, that bag of goodies at the end of the gym challenge. These mines are simply filled with treasure!"

Malchior:
"Eerie? These are better than those crude manmade lights."

Deidra:
"Ughhhhh, I can't even think about how it looked back then. Looked like a prim and proper girl compared to now. Yuck."

Malchior:
"Perhaps this is where he gets those gym challenge rewards?"

Malchior:
"Must need more after how much challenges like ourselves have been taking lately."

Malchior:

Vili snickers, "I'm sure I have a picture of it somewhere back at home."

Deidra:
"Geez, just crop me out of all of them why don'tcha. Probably looked like such a dork."

"...I'm pretty sure my hair was short as heck. Fighting to keep it long was a tough time."

Julian:
"Yeah, there's a lotta weird shit in here. Like, you don't even know." The cave starts reclining upward again, and the green crystals slowly fade, replace again with electrical lights, "We're almost out, kiddos. Pretty much a straight shot from here."

Deidra:
"Thank goodness."

Gerald:
(Blast it, those villains getting their hands on that rock... if it's as meaningful as Karsai and Imoen had made it out to be, Marley should probably know, but...) "It's a shame your initial contact wasn't able to identify much of the treasure hoard. We weren't even able to get Oculos to examine it before..." Gerald lingers on the last word, judging Marley's reaction

Gonna see if I can get at what Gerald is doing

"...wait, huh? You hid the stuff from Oculos?! Are you c---ah...Why? What happened? Did you leave town...?"

"No, no, it wasn't hiding so much as the topic not having a chance to come up! The Pokemon was the larger issue at hand beyond selling some trinkets, and... well, that took up most of our interaction with him."

"Hmph."

Malchior:
"What are you going on about? Was there some kind of dispute over your gym prizes?"

Gerald is being deliberately vague on the subject so that Marley will catch on without spreading further information

Malchior is morbidly curious about the possibility of Oculos being fired over this, what with wanting to be a gym leader. Of course he doesn't say anything.

Gerald:
"Scarlett - you're here for a similar reason, aren't you? How did your delivery go?"

"Just glad I got that badge already so I don't have to worry about that dude being a dick to me."

Gerald:
"I... remain somewhat worried. Part of me wanted to save that until we were past a point where he could collapse a tunnel on us."

Malchior:
"Relax, he would not do that. His future fellow gym leader is in the cave with you."

Deidra:
"But then he'd crush his assistant too and-yeah, we're fucked."

Scarlett:
"Um...well, uh...there was some stuff that we couldn't identify...u-uh, my brother and Bey and I, I-I mean...Marley told us Oculos might know, so Jimi asked me to bring it here...but...I stayed at the Center, and it wasn't in my bag when I woke up...I-I've been in Krii ever since. I don't think I could face my brother again..."

Malchior:
"Well, have any of you challenged Oculos yet? It might be a good idea if you challenged him next before your bridges with him are also burnt to the ground."

Malchior:
"And if you go now, you will have the privlege of having the great Malchior as one of your gym partners."

Julian:
"Eh, don't worry about it. He's a Gym Leader. He ain't gotta collapse this place if he wants to kill us all. Got quicker ways. You'll be fine."

Deidra:
"SPEAKING OF, ARE WE OUT YET?! I'm getting all claustrophobic in here!"

Gerald:
"I see... I was wondering why you hadn't reunited with your party yet." Gerald thinks for a moment. "Did any of the parties manage to complete the delivery?"

Gerald:
"Surely we can't be held fully responsible for his decision to use such an unreliable delivery method!"

Deidra:
"Sounds like exactly what he's saying. That you're entirely responsible."

Malchior:
"Erm, gym challenge, anyone?" He considers the possibility that they already have the badge, but quickly dismisses the notion because Gerald is in their party.

Julian:
"No idea, man. I mean, not many people have beaten Marley recently."

Vili:
"We can probably do the challenge once we're back from getting Asher back."

Malchior:
"It can't be tougher than what we already did, honestly."

Gerald:
I figured we could have more than one conversation going on

Julian:
"And don't get your panties in a bunch, girl. We'll be outta here in like five minutes."

"Aura...? Speaking of which...That Pokemon you released, if you can't tell, you should be careful around it. It doesn't listen to anyone, and it's beyond powerful. Does Oculos still have it?"

"He should. We left it with him after we managed to subdue it."

"I don't know how he kept the thing, I didn't see it when I woke up."

Julian:
"Well maybe he can control it. Or at least keep it unconscious or something. Anyway! Here we are." The end of the tunnel is right up ahead, and glorious real-world light floods the space around you for the first time in hours

"Didn't uh...didn't we hear something about his place getting robbed?" she asks Vili aside.

"I haven't really heard anything... I guess it isn't terribly surprising. But maybe the thing got moved somewhere else while I was out cold?"

"Well this wasn't exactly what I was expecting..." Deidra says as she scans the area, taking a deep breath in the process. "Glad to be out of that cave though."

Julian:
They look pretty similar overall to those ruins you fought the banditos at, come to the thinking of it

Malchior:
"Do you know what that building is for, gym trainer?"

Gerald:
"Hm. Perhaps your party wasn't far off, thinking to come here... this looks like the same place we found those bandits."

Julian:
"Ha! Gym Trai--good one! Do I look like the kinda guy to be running a casino? I'm just a little helper. Anyway..nah, not really. I know this place used to be Krii Village, a long time ago. That coulda been the elder's home or something, or maybe a church."
