- One way to end the war is for every Narrator in either the hero faction or villain faction to be killed.
- The Tiger states that she would like to end this war as quickly as possible, with the least amount of ink/blood shed. In her eyes, it's cruel and unkind to force the Narrators to suffer in their names, and prolonging it for so-called balance is needless.
- On the other hand, the Dragon dislikes this ending, as while it may shed the least ink, ink is necessary in order to succeed in this game. In other words, though fulfilling objectives may be unpleasant, it will yield the greatest success in the end. More importantly, near-equal amounts of each faction should complete their objectives. Balance is necessary in this game.
- Narrators who die over the course of the game go to the Other Side, where the Beauty and the Beast were banished. It is an unpleasant place, similar to this castle but lacking in life. Their fate depends on the outcome of this war. A sufficient amount of ink is necessary to revive them
