—jangmi was always just a girl with too many dreams, from her childhood wish to be a ballerina, to her desire as a teenager to become an idol. despite her talent for singing, her parents never felt that performing was an adequate career choice for their only daughter, so while they gave her the chance to achieve her dream, they also took it away when they believed to to be impractical. specifically, once red velvet debuted, her parents didn’t think there would be another girl group for many years and pulled her from the company. for most, this would turn them bitter, but jangmi was always so sheltered that she never quite understood what she lost until years later. as a current law student, she realizes that she isn’t as passionate on the topic as she is performing. she doesn’t blame her parents, she understood what they were trying to do, though she wishes she had a second chance. when she saw the audition announcement for the show, she didn’t want to do it at first, but her friends encouraged it. her parents weren’t too happy with her acceptance to the show, but are allowing her to try one last time for debut before giving up on the dream as a whole.

SUMMARY:
—essentially, jangmi always loved music, she was even a trainee at sm entertainment briefly, but because her parents feared she wouldn’t be successful they removed her from the company. she would grow up to be a friendly, but naive college student who still dreamed of becoming an idol, which led to her audition for project allure.
