  1. [Hemospectrum Basics]
  2. The Trollian Empire is built on one thing:
  3. The Color of One’s Blood in relevance to their Societal Importance.
  4.
  5. This is called the ‘Hemospectrum’, organized from Lowbloods to Highbloods, with some Trolls using an archaic and outdated ‘Midbloods’ to describe the Middle-Class of Trollian Society. The 11 recognized castes are:
  6. Rust, Bronze, Gold, Olive, Jade, Teal, Cerulean, Blue, Purple, Violet, and Fuchsia.
  7.
  8. While there used to be a ‘Lime’ caste that sat between Gold and Olive on the Hemospectrum, they had been largely (and with great success) exterminated due to their incredible Psionic Ability and their above-average rates of Hemorebellion. Limebloods are currently considered ‘Mutants’ if one should ever slip past Brooding Cavern Culling.
  9.
  10. [Hemospectrum and Biology]
  11. The Lifespans of Trolls vary from about 40 Years to up to 12 Million + Years due to the color of their Blood, which has lead to a great variance in Lowblood Genetics and a stifled and archaic genetic diversity within Highbloods, with Seadwellers only having roughly 10 known Ancestral Lines. This is due in fact to the way Trollian Genetic Sequencing occurs:
  12.
  13. Fuchsias may only be wriggled from Fuchsias.
  14. Violets may be wriggled from both Fuchsias and Violets.
  15. Purples may be wriggled from Fuchsias, Violets, and Purples.
  16. (And so on...)
  17.
  18. Each Caste below another may only contain itself and those above it, making the likelihood of a Fuchsia Troll being born _infantessimally small_ versus the most common ‘lowblood conglomerate genetics’ which are far more likely, as any number of castes can combine to create a Rustblood.
  19.
  20. A Trolls’ Genetic Lineage may be as few as two genetic contributors combined to create a Single Troll, with up to as many as 143 genetic contributors to create a Single Troll. The diversity of this Genetic Lineage is paradoxical in nature, as every Troll has a high likelihood of being genetically related to one another without ever sharing a direct Ancestor with another. In rare cases, a Troll is wriggled that very closely resembles an Ancestral Troll in both Appearance and Caste, thought these ‘Direct Descendants’ are few and far between.
  21.
  22. [Caste Groupings]
  23. Those at the lower end of the Spectrum have ‘warmer’ hues to their blood, which reflects in their body temperature. Lowbloods tend to live much shorter lives than those above them in the Hemospectrum and are Physically Weaker than the Higher Castes, but make up for this with increased strength in Psionic Capabilities. (Rust, Bronze, Gold, and Lime)
  24.
  25. Midbloods, despite not being Socially Recognized as such anymore, find themselves in the transitioning colors between warm and cool, with their body temperatures beginning to cool as they increase up the Hemospectrum. They live Average lifespans for Trolls, with exponential Lifespan Increase in Teals and Ceruleans. (Olive, Jade, Teal, Cerulean)
  26.
  27. Highbloods, also known colloquially as ‘Coolbloods’ live up to their moniker, especially as you go to the top of the Hemospectrum. While Purplebloods are Cold Blooded entities, Seadwellers seem to _exert_ a biological coldness that surpasses the temperature of their surroundings. Highbloods live impossibly long, with Fuchsias having a currently unknown Natural Limit to their lifespans. While their Physical Strength is unmatched by other Castes, Highbloods tend not to have Psionic Capabilities. (Blue, Purple, Violet, Fuchsia)
