GHD&D #3 (Pt. 1)

Our adventurers have been resting. Csill wakes up during dawn, with the Moon shining through his west-facing window. Baz only just fell asleep. Raloris is watching the sunrise from the beach, sparing glances at the gliding seagulls. Gaemon watches the sunrise from his eastern window. The sun shining over the harbor, illuminating the ships, looks beautiful. Egg is awoken by the red light from the setting moon. He tries to stuff the towel making up his makeshift bed into the crack in his shell, to no avail.

Raloris hears a *ding* coming from her pocket. It's the watch she took off of Chuck Barney! She takes the watch out and sees that it's Six O'Clock. She investigates the source of the ding: a simple magical alarm charm. She looks around for her comrades, and sees none of them. "Still asleep, maybe..." She says to herself. She looks back at the hotel, and sees Gaemon scowling. She looks back at the ocean.

Csill, having woken up and gotten ready for the day, walks up behind Raloris. "Hello," he says.

Raloris silently presents the watch. "At the strike of 6, the watch uttered a... sound" she says.

"Of what noise did it make?" Csill says.

"Err, I don't know if I have a word to fit it..." she says, and hesitates. "The watch made a chirp, like a songbird in the morning."

"How loud was it?" Csill asks.

"Not very," Raloris says. She casts a spell of Magic Detection to get an idea of just what caused the sound. She finds that a simple charm has been placed on the watch to cause it to beep every day at 6:00, and once a week on every full moon.

Meanwhile, egg throws the towel onto the ground and jumps onto it to get off the table he had slept on. "Doctor Sure?"

Baz hears this, muffled, from the adjacent room. "I SMELL BUFFOONERY," Baz says, and having just gone to sleep, he jolts out of bed, storming out of his room without even so much as putting on pants. He enters egg's room.

"Ah good morning, have you seen doctor Sure?" Egg says.

"Doctor who?" Baz says.

"The observational astronomer," egg says.

Csill sees Baz in the hallway-- "PUT YOUR FUCKING PANTS ON YOU SWINE," he yells.

Baz turns around and says "yeah yeah sure sure."

"Yes. Sure," egg says.

Gaemon bursts into the room, dagger out. "I heard yelling! Oh." He sheaths his dagger.

Standing confidently with hands on hips, as though he were not even aware of his lack of pants, Baz says "pack your things, comrades. We have a train to catch."

"That's great and all, but can you please put on some pants?" Csill says.

"I'll make some on the way," Baz says.

"Doctor, you should take your towel back, it will not fit in my shell," says egg.

"Yes little one," Csill says, taking the towel from the egg's glowing mage hand.

Another inn guest kicks the room floor from below, and all hear a muffled "dooney stiagh! Ta mee geabbey dy gholl dy chadley!" (This means "Shut up! We're trying to sleep!" in Sudric.

Baz returns to his room to gather his supplies, and before picking up his pants he gets distracted, and looks for some bees. He sees some dead bees in the windowsill, but none alive.

"We're bee free," he says to himself.

The adventurers go downstairs to find the smell of eggs and bacon. It's a buffet, with a few other guests sitting down in the small dining area. There's potatoes, eggs, bacon, ham, fish, milk, and coffee available. All the guests are humans, but the gnome from last night is chatting with one group of them.

"Hopefully they don't try cooking me," egg mutters to himself.

Egg sits on the table, and uses mage hand to fetch a large cup of coffee from the buffet. He sips from the mug. It's decent coffee.

Raloris reaches for fish, eyeing the gnome for reaction. 'I assume it's include,' she thinks to herself, 'but i am unsure of the customs here.'

The gnome smiles and nods at Raloris. "Yes, it IS complimentary," he says. Raloris grabs some fish, bacon, and a cup of water.

"I guess I'll try some coffee," Csill says, grabbing a cup and sipping from it. "Holy shit, this coffee is *amazing!*"

Baz grabs several of those little containers of different-flavored jelly.
