  1. [02:44] Artaghh says, "I see ye' are starin' wit' determination a' tha' statue Ser Eryn."
  2. [02:44] Artaghh says, "No doub' it's plannin'a trap."
  3. [02:44] Eryn Evanstere says, "Trying....to....set...it....on....fire...with...my....mind."
  4. [02:44] Artaghh says, "I'd believe it."
  5. [02:44] Aldrah Leverd says, "Don't set stuff on fire."
  6. [02:44] Eryn was not succeeding.
  7. (Eryn Evanstere)
  8. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  9.
  10. [02:44] Aldrah Leverd says, "Or I going to turn ya into a Ice statue."
  11. [02:44] Eryn Evanstere says, "...fine. Not fire starting in the square."
  12. [02:45] Artaghh says, "Pfffff."
  13. [02:45] Saw something that blows his mind. "What the hell did you just do!"
  14. (T Poison)
  15. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  16.
  17. [02:45] Artaghh says, "Hmm."
  18. [02:46] Artaghh says, "Perhaps three eyes'll be be'er than two fer gettin' it aflame."
  19. [02:47] Ser Artaghh would pace beside Ser Eryn with a nod, turning his attention to the statue in question before focusing his remaining eye with determination upon it, crossing his bandaged arms over his black breastplate as he hummed idly. This statue would not engage in any trickery unignited on their watch.
  20. (Artaghh)
  21. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  22.
  23. [02:48] Artaghh whispers: I dunnae think it's workin'...
  24. [02:49] He glance at the people which seems to ignore him but it was fine he know in the long run he will beat them all up.
  25. (T Poison)
  26. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  27.
  28. [02:49] Eryn briefly thought she saw smoke curl from the statue. Nope, just Artaghh's pipe smoke blowing in front of her eyes. "Yep, think it's a bust."
  29. (Eryn Evanstere)
  30. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  31.
  32. [02:50] Artaghh says, "Hmm."
  33. [02:51] Artaghh says, "Perhaps it requires more intensity in the stare'ta catch it aflame."
  34. [02:51] Artaghh says, "Fire is often associated wit' passion."
  35. [02:51] Artaghh says, "We mus' hate the statue."
  36. [02:51] He looks at the dragon and wondered why was it following that stranger. He did not know why but he had a feeling that dragon likes old men.
  37. (T Poison)
  38. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  39.
  40. [02:53] He took off his shirt and start to do some training so that he could one day life the dragon like Freya the dead.
  41. (T Poison)
  42. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  43.
  44. [02:53] Ser Artaghh would glance with determination at the statue, gritting his teeth idly as he imagined numerous slights spoke against his person by the aesthetic adornment to the square as he ignited forth in the dense, rich blue flames of the mystic arts. The knight would apply this enhanced spiritual pressure to the most important task at hand; making that statue set aflame with their stare alone.
  45. (Artaghh)
  46. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  47.
  48. [02:56] Eryn considered telling the older Knight to quit, but, inspired by his determination, but her own resolve into it, glaring across at the statue. Still, no luck, for alas the statue did not burn. Well, until Eryn silently and subtly pinged a fireball of it, at least. Then the damn thing caught alight.
  49. (Eryn Evanstere)
  50. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  51.
  52. [02:56] Artaghh says, "..."
  53. [02:56] Artaghh exclaims, "Bahahahahahahah!"
  54. [02:56] Eryn Evanstere exclaims, "Success!"
  55. [02:56] Artaghh says, "I'll call it a victory."
  56. [02:56] Eryn Evanstere says, "...ish."
  57. [02:57] Artaghh says, "A worthy compromise if there e'er was one."
  58. [02:57] While he was training his body he felt energy magic was been used. After a year of training he pick up a trick on how to sense powerful mana. He stops what he was doing and looks around and notice an rather strange blue rich aura and ran over toward the person.
  59.
  60. "So that is what come next in my training... Ahh interesting energy control old man... How long did it take you to master?"
  61. (T Poison)
  62. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  63.
  64. [02:58] Artaghh asks, "Abou'....two decades or so?"
  65. [02:58] Artaghh says, "Also ow, old man."
  66. [02:58] Artaghh says, "I'm only fifty two..."
  67. [02:59] Eryn Evanstere says, "You look far older. All the burns and what not."
  68. [02:59] Artaghh says, "Ye' flatter me Ser Eryn. I'm blushin'."
  69. [02:59] It seems like the old man did not know much about the energy power which was using and it took him that long to master it. He felt like this old man could give him a hint on how he did it.
  70.
  71. "So any idea how i can reach that level quickly old man? You should have an idea on how you could master it faster now since you have it for quite some time." He ask even though he might not get an answer.
  72. (T Poison)
  73. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  74.
  75. [03:00] Eryn Evanstere says, "I try."
  76. [03:00] Eryn Evanstere says, "Well, young man."
  77. [03:00] Eryn Evanstere says, "I can give you a tip"
  78. [03:00] Sors Ultovex whispers something.
  79. [03:00] Eryn Evanstere says, "Essentially, the quick way....is to stare at a statue until it catches fire."
  80. [03:00] Eryn Evanstere says, "When you can do that, you've achieved mastery."
  81. [03:01] Artaghh says, "She ain' lyin'."
  82. [03:01] Artaghh says, "Bu' aye, I can give ye' a summary'a wha' I did lad."
  83. [03:01] Artaghh says, "There's two halves'ta energy magic. The physical part, an' the mental part."
  84. [03:01] He ignored the person which could not use energy magic and waited for the old man to speak. "Do continue old man."
  85. (T Poison)
  86. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  87.
  88. [03:03] Artaghh says, "Masterin' the physical part's simple enoug', ye' mus' increase the amount'a mana ye' manifes' in yer shroud. Bes' way'ta push such limits is through exercise, ideally weighted. Harder, more toilin', more'a yer inner potential ye' can draw ou'."
  89. [03:04] He was abit confuse but he nods as if he understand.
  90. (T Poison)
  91. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  92.
  93. [03:04] Artaghh says, "Try tough stuff. Climbin' mountains wit' only one finger, boulder weighted swimmin', anythin' tha'll cause ye' a classic case'a near death."
  94. [03:04] Artaghh says, "Tha's how I did it anywho."
  95. [03:08] He hit his hand. "Ahh yes interesting. Train until i feel like i am dying."
  96. (T Poison)
  97. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  98.
  99. [03:08] The young woman glanced over at her companion. "That...sounds kinda like what I'm trying to do at the moment. Not all the exercise stuff, but the increasing of mana. Look, if I could grab your attention a moment." She held up a fist, opened it so the palm was facing upwards, and called forth enough mana to start up a decent sized fire hovering above her hand.
  100.
  101. Staring intently at it, the Drakanite slowly began to compress the flame whilst forcing more mana into it, the fire shrinking to about half its size but retaining its former heat -perhaps even increasing, somewhat! She kept focusing, and with a final push the fire turned bright blue -not unlike Artaghh's own aura. The heat radiating off it was impressive, but the young woman wasn't able to hold onto it for more than half a minute before the fire returned to orange and then snuffed itself out.
  102.
  103. "Maintaining its the trouble though..."
  104. (Eryn Evanstere)
  105. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  106.
  107. [03:15] Ser Artaghh would nod steadily as he turned his attention to the drakan with a smile, watching their efforts in manifesting the intensity of their own flame as he puffed away idly at his corn cob pipe. Snapping his finger, the aura would once more manifest around his person with the vibrant, dense shroud of mana.
  108.
  109. "Oft the bes' way'ta master maintainin' such things is'ta engage in an....endurance trainin'a sorts. Holdin' such a flame in yer palm fer hours on end until manifestin' it becomes natural. Much the same in energy magic, 'cept yer workin' on yer muscles ability'a manifes' such."
  110.
  111. The knight commander smile tiredly as he thought back to his distant trials as an acolyte of energy, pushing his limits day after day with the next empty headed, foolish scheme to break his body in twelve different pieces.
  112.
  113. It brought him back.
  114.
  115. "When ye' have mastered the body, ye' can work upon the mind. Ye' mus' introspect, calm yer mind, meditate upon yer energies an' master yer manifestation'a its strength. Ye' mus' adopt the aspects'a the ethereal as yer own, make the mana'a the spirit realm yers'ta wield, an' then train further'ta master it entirely. Only then will energy magic entirely be yours. Then ye' can do the ghosty thing!"
  116. (Artaghh)
  117. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  118.
  119. [03:22] "I'll keep that in mind. Endurance training could be useful -just my practice alone has me doing it quicker now." That was true enough; Eryn having gone from it taking minutes of adrenaline fueled focus to less than a single minute now to produce it. Perhaps now she just needed to focus on maintaining it properly, and she could consider the project successful.
  120.
  121. Although, there was another thought she'd had, one that could utilise another of her skills. Whilst applying the exalted fire rune to her staff, she'd briefly mused on modifying it and applying it to her own skin, in order to offer something of a jumpstart of the process. Perhaps it would come in useful to try both techniques...
  122.
  123. In any case, Artaghh had given her some good advice. She inclined her head towards him, keeping it in mind, and tried again. She focused, trying to compress the flames quicker, and with success! Within about thirty seconds -instead of the previous forty five- Eryn had Blue Fire once again. Frowning at it in concentration, she began to focus, trying to keep it going.
  124. (Eryn Evanstere)
  125. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  126.
  127. [03:22] Artaghh says, "I shall avoid teachin' ye' anythin' else Eryn, lest ye' inherit the curse'a my students."
  128. [03:23] Aldrah Leverd asks, "What curse, Artaghh?"
  129. [03:24] Artaghh says, "All those I've taught energy magic have died..."
  130. [03:25] Aldrah Leverd exclaims, "Ah, really? Don't worry! Many of my necromancy students too!"
  131. [03:25] Aldrah Leverd says, "Constantin. Syra.. And others."
  132. [03:25] Artaghh says, "Chroma, Theodore, Freya, Achilles, Ferus briefly showed interest an' proceeded'ta die."
  133. [03:26] Artaghh says, "Chaaca was only present a' the lessons, didn' even pursue it."
  134. [03:26] Artaghh says, "An' he died too."
  135. [03:27] Artaghh says, "Eztli survived, bu' became so crippled he can only teach himself."
  136. [03:27] Aldrah Leverd says, "I see."
  137. [03:39] He would listen to the two speaking and while he was listening he felt like this was something rather odd. So for him to learn how tp push pass his limit he would need to push his body to the limit and force it to unlock something knew. He scratchi his head and felt like there could be another way for him to do this. Is it was about manifestinf more power from his energy all he would need to do is some meditating and some training. He did not have to push himself to death.
  138.
  139. He did understand what Artaghh said about there was two types of energy. Training his phsycial energy is all about training his body or just gain some combat experience. Training his mind was about meditating or be one with your emotions so that you could unlock the potential to use more power. He was abit uncertain about the what was been said about the mastery of manifesting strength but eventuall he would understand what was been talked about. He nods. Undestanding what was been told and felt like he got an idea on how he could do his own training.
  140.
  141. He then notice the strange girl which was seeking knowledge as well would try to gain some information about some type of magic she wish to master. To himself she did not need to know much about energy magic since she was not human. He could tell because he saw little scale on her hands. After a while thinking about it he could really stop her from learning about energy since it was not him call for it.
  142.
  143. Placing his hand on his chin he starts to think. "Was it possible for someone to even push pass the energy control which this old man had. Hmm It could be possible but it might take years of training. It took the old man decades to learn which could mean pushing pass the increase in power would take alot more training and meditating as well." He said even though he did not mean to speak what was on his mind. It was indeed a goal which he should try to push pass but he needed to start with what he needed to master first.
  144.
  145. T then looks at the old man and felt like there was much to learn about ther energy magic. He asks the question which was on his mind for quite some time after hearing him saying it. "Old man. You said Mysical art is energy magi right? Could this mean there are even more powerful magic you can learn from energy?"
  146. (T Poison)
  147. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  148.
  149. [03:46] Ser Artaghh would bark out in laughter at the ambition the youth wore upon their sleeve, slapping the plate of his cuirass with a light, clanking cacophony as his tired smile spread just a bit more. The youth had the attitude of a young energy magi, the necessary boldness if nothing else. Blowing a puff of minty smoke off towards the coast, the knight commander would once more cross his bandaged, burn scarred arms over his black breastplate.
  150.
  151. "If ye' can surpass the levels I manifes', I encourage ye'ta do so. No poin' in mastery if I cannae helps folks along their own path wit' the arts. An' aye, the mystic arts is a fancy term fer the secon' part'a energy magic, the mental bit. It's a sort'a...more complicated manner of gatherin' energy. Where as ye' conjure the power'a the surroundings, the mundane world an' body wit' the physical half, ye' master the dense, rich mana o'ta spirit realm wit' mysticism. Together, ye' have density an' potency hand in hand, toge'er the apex'a energy mastery."
  152. (Artaghh)
  153. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  154.
  155. [03:49] One minute. Two minutes. Three minutes. Three minutes forty five seconds- and it was gone, the blue slipping to orange as Eryn's concentration failed her. Still, she was grinning widely as it did, the sustain tiring but still far better than her previous attempts! "Well, looks like there's something to that advice after all, Artaghh." The Drakanite was honestly not surprised -the Paladin had been around a while, there was sure to be plenty of wisdom in him.
  156.
  157. Still, the rune idea had merit, she felt. Certainly something to consider further, although she'd have to do a little bit of modification to make the runework function correctly on a living breathing person rather than a weapon. She believed it could be done, however.
  158. (Eryn Evanstere)
  159. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  160.
  161. [03:50] Eryn Evanstere whispers: I am, yes.
  162. [03:50] Aldrah Leverd whispers: If I know, ya are a enchanter, right?
  163. [03:51] Eryn Evanstere whispers: A Master of it, from what I understand.
  164. [03:51] Aldrah Leverd whispers: Good! I have a request for ya..
  165. [03:51] Aldrah Leverd whispers: Wait here, let me get something first.
  166. [03:51] Aldrah Leverd whispers: I want ya to enchant my Sword. Thanatos.
  167. [03:51] Eryn Evanstere whispers: I can do that. What enchantment do you wish placed on it?
  168. [03:51] Aldrah Leverd whispers: To increase my wind power.
  169. [03:51] Eryn Evanstere whispers: Easily done.
  170. [03:52] Aldrah Leverd whispers: Here ya go. Some Orchilacum.
  171. [03:52] Ser Artaghh would nod in approval to Eryn's efforts with a flash of his missing toothed grin, giving their fiery efforts two thumbs up as he watched their attempted manifestation. The knight was no fire magi, truthfully, but energy was simply unrefined mana at the end of the day. Surely there must be a bit of overlap in the grand scheme of things.
  172.
  173. "Constan' diligence is key. Firs' ye' push it to five minutes. Then ten, then twenty, an hour, three hours. A day, two days, so on! When ye' can manifes' it fer so long ye' lose track'a how long ye've been countin', ye've achieved the mastery ye' desire! Progression will come'ta ye' naturally."
  174. (Artaghh)
  175. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  176. [03:57] "Of course, Art." the Drakanite responded, not even really realising the application of the nickname as she turned, bending down to quickly scribe several runes for increased efficiency with wind magic onto the offered blade. As she did, hands easily flowing across the blade to inscribe the runes into it, she couldn't help noting where she'd make modifications in the scheme, where a glyph could be idly replaced to allow a more personal application; albeit with fire runes, though the elemental rune sequences held enough overlap for the changes to be relatively simplistic and universal.
  177.
  178. Finishing with a flourish, the young woman pulsed mana into the rune sequence to empower it before handing the blade back to Aldrah. "There ya go, should be active now!"
  179. (Eryn Evanstere)
  180. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  181.
  182. [03:58] Artaghh whispers: My, how far we've come from Sir.
  183. [03:58] Eryn Evanstere whispers: Heh. Your own desire, if I recall correctly.
  184. [03:59] Eryn Evanstere whispers: Call it Knightly comraderie.
  185. [04:00] Artaghh whispers: I'll take it Ser Eryn. The thought is touchin'.
  186. [04:02] Artaghh whispers: Though I dunnae think it'd take knighthood'ta enjoy yer company.
  187. [04:03] Eryn Evanstere whispers: It did some good in shrinking the gap of authority between us. That and your winning personality is why I feel able to be so informal.
  188. [04:03] Eryn Evanstere whispers: But yes, I enjoy your company as well.
  189. [04:06] Artaghh whispers: I much prefer this anywho. More enjoyable.
  190. [04:06] Eryn Evanstere whispers: On that, we agree.
  191. [04:07] He listens to Artaghh. It seems like he was dead on there was other for of energy magic it seems that surpasses the current one which he and the old man currently possess. He nods in excitement. Heeding the words of the oldman passing on his knowledge toward him, it seems like his first part of his training needed to manifesting enough energy from his body and mastering it to the point it become refine. It seems like the fancy magic which Artaghh the old man was talking about was much more difficult to master. It seem like he needed to be able to draw power from the some spiritual realm to boost his own power after he master the next stage of energy control.
  192.
  193. He was so intune about reaching the apex of the energy master he felt like this was his goal and he needed to accomplish it from now on. He was already training his body but hardly had time to do some training in mana control or magic. Since he was now learning something quite impressive he needed to stop slacking off on his training and do it seriously. He needed to put much more effort in controling his mana and also to train his mind to be able to draw more from his mana bank to improve his power dramatically. The little kid mind was starting to over work he felt like all this knowledge needed to be remembered. What he mean't by remember is that he needed to start a training regiment.
  194.
  195. He starts to write down a little plan in the grass close by and notice that something was rather odd about the female it seems like he was trying to do something which he could not understand. Seeing she focus his mind was distracted on what he needed to do. Unable to understand what she was trying to master it seems like it was either fire magic or her mutation shift into another from. It could be that she was trying to learn a bladestyle from the old man but he did not know all that was on his mind was to obtain alot of knowledge and power from eneregy control.
  196.
  197. He looks at the old man and ask. "If i manage to master, the control of energy to the pinicle of normal mastery. Do you think it is possible to surpass that? I was thinking about rather hard and it seems quite possible." He ask and glance at the girl and said. " Are trying to master the element of fire or something?" He said while raising his eyebrow. He then look back on the grass and start writing up his plan on how he would master this art of energy.
  198. (T Poison)
  199. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  200.
  201. [04:10] Artaghh asks, "Anythin's possible kid. Ye' keep at it, who knows?"
  202. [04:10] Artaghh says, "Maybe ye'll be the one tha' breaks the nex' grea' boundary'a energy magic."
  203. [04:14] Her mind still cycling through the options for modifying sequences to apply to living tissue, the young woman almost missed the question, but managed to briefly snap out of it to answer. "Oh, I've essentially mastered fire. I'm trying to push it further, intensify it. I'm near a breakthrough, I'm sure." Not just with the continual practice like Artaghh had suggestion, but the application of glyphs onto her body. She was just unsure where to put them, essentially.
  204. (Eryn Evanstere)
  205. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  206.
  207. [04:20] He sigh and looks at the girl and wondered what was this breaking point she was talking about. He felt like she needed help.
  208. (T Poison)
  209. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  210.
  211. [04:20] Artaghh whispers: Ya know, when we're done chattin' wit' this fella, I migh' need ye'ta sharpen my sword.
  212. [04:23] Eryn Evanstere whispers: Sure, no problem.
  213. [04:25] Aldrah just crossed his arms as he watched the scene. He was rocking back and forth, his eyes almost closing, clearly sleepy.
  214.
  215. After the girl finished the process and faced him, clearly to see if it had done right, he just nods to Yuki, giving a signal that she had done correctly.
  216.
  217. "Okay, now just leave it some time like that, and he will recover." Aldrah yawned, "Good work and if you want more lessons, we need more people injured, because to learn you have to practice." Aldrah nodded.
  218.
  219. He turned and started to go to his house, "I'm going home now.. I'm tired and I need to rest, I'll see you some other time." He waved to the people there and left the place.
  220. (Aldrah Leverd)
  221. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  222.
  223. [04:26] T Poison says, "Oh well, looks likes its time for some training"
  224. [04:26] Eryn Evanstere exclaims, "Thats the spirit!"
  225. [04:26] Artaghh says, "I wish ye' good luck on yer endeavorsl ad."
  226. [04:29] Artaghh says, "A fine starin' contest."
  227. [04:30] Eryn Evanstere asks, "Hm?"
  228. [04:30] Artaghh says, "Oh I meant our mutual acquaintance here."
  229. [04:30] Artaghh says, "Dunnae worry Ser Eryn, I'm sure ye' are a fine starer."
  230. [04:31] Eryn Evanstere says, "Damn straight."
  231. [04:33] The young woman pushed thought of runic sequences from her mind, raising an eyebrow at Artaghh. "Well, are you going to pass me that sword or what?" Clearly the young woman was surprised her already hadn't, and ready to sharpen it up for him. All he had to do was give it to her, she'd sort it out just like Sors.
  232.
  233. When he did indeed pass it to her, she go at it immediately, producing a whetstone from her pocket -damn, that must be heavy in there- and easily going along the blade, bringing it back to its previous state easily, before handing the blade back to the bald Knight. "There ya go."
  234. (Eryn Evanstere)
  235. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  236.
  237. [04:34] {Item} You picked up Chocolate. Dropped by Artaghh. .
  238. [04:37] Ser Artaghh would blink as he realized that, yes, he'd entirely forgotten to actually hand the blade to Ser Eryn. In fact, he'd been so focused on the thought of actually dredging the blade forth from his backplate, he'd entirely distracted himself from the act of actually doing it. A dangerous game.
  239.
  240. Without another thought, he'd grip his great black blade tight before handing it handle first to the drakan for her to sharpen, nodding with toothy grin as she returned it to his preferred level of stabbity sharpness. Refusing to take this service for nothing, he'd offer Eryn a bar of chocolate in thanks without another thought.
  241. (Artaghh)
  242. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  243. [04:37] Eryn Evanstere says, "Cheers, Art."
  244. [04:38] Artaghh says, "Ah, ye' are a treasure Eryn. It was only right."
  245. [04:44] Artaghh whispers: Chocolate's my way'a sayin' thanks, I s'pose.
