  1. The Doctrine of Eternal Continuity is a particular way of looking at the world that protects dictators, woodburners, eternity farmers, immortal sports fisherman, and really badass guys with a really high power level.
  2.
  3. I came upon the doctrine independently while wondering how to cope with an eternal woodburning (small limited tortures) world and the anxiety of how to deal with the woodburners (if I were to catch them). There were a few reasons I ended up going with it.
  4.
  5. 1. Being in benzo withdrawal hell (that's a special kind of surface level torture) and really fucked up (terrorized), I really couldn't stand the idea of long tortures or adding up those % numbers at all.
  6. 2. Matching up the number they picked with their punishment directly made a lot of logical sense, in line with what I figured their counter counter-argument would be.
  7. 3. The relief of guilt it provided from emitting 3,000% energies into the world in order to get bio-electricity that I was in desperate need of and the relief of guilt it provided at the prospect of continuing to emit those energies forever. But what felt even better was just how sensible that relief of guilt seemed.
  8. 4. But what really convinced me was the pure relief it provided me when the logic behind it sunk in while I was sitting at home playing Deep Rock Galactic. No longer did it make sense for my emotional senses to be overloaded by "all the torture going on out there forever". I realized my experience to that point was about as bad if not worse than anyone who had ever been caught in someone's dungeon. I realized that we were all in this experience together and that really the terrible thing about it all would be that there would be torturers who had not paid their due (like I had).
  9.
  10. Basically, I realized that 1 person being tortured to let's say 3,000% and then time coming to an end and 1 million people being tortured to 3,000% and then time coming to an end was not as different as my base emotional senses would have me believe.
  11.
  12. I now see the old way of looking at the world as essentially what amounts to an empathy disorder.
  13.
  14. So, as an example, a particularly annoying insect swarm race is doing something that some other group sees as bad. That second group of bad-asses comes in and sends the insect swarm to the 1 vector tier of hell. A third group comes along and sees the carnage, decides that the insects weren't so bad and resolves to punish the group who sent them to hell. The group, including their badass commander who wracked up way more kills than anyone else owing to his power level, are all sent to the 1 vector tier of hell on account of the third groups adherence to the Doctrine of Eternal Continuity. There is no gratuity added because they also know about the Multiverse (forced decision outcomes) and the simulators and they are only doing it for either strategy or conflict mitigation (context clues).
  15.
  16. It is believed that the Doctrine of Eternal Continuity will make you smarter (as will being in an infinity cult which we'll talk about later), unfortunately it will also make you darker.
  17.
  18. It is the gold standard in the local culture I've developed.
