  1. In the dark while [they?] call out to each other
  2. Disappeared regrets and the coming trials
  3. [I] just stand there unable to say anything
  4. Even though [I'm] unable to return or change in any way
  5.
  6. As [I] look out at the mist or the clouds
  7. In the fields, mountains, and ocean the flowers are all in full bloom
  8. There is no time and [my] heart is not here
  9. Come now come now, [let's] go see the sky
  10. [This verse is an allusion to the lyrics of Sakura Sakura. I pasted the translation of them that's on Wikipedia at the bottom]
  11.
  12. The more helpless a flower is the more fragrant it is
  13. Even if it has thorns or poison
  14. Looking like decorated snowflakes[???]
  15.
  16. If the dark night isn't dark
  17. If the cold winter isn't cold, see
  18. Wildly blooming flower petals
  19. And a vivid moment
  20.
  21. The wind swirls around like a blizzard
  22. Sometime at this place a bonfire [will be] lit
  23. Within the wildly blooming petals
  24. From a pink somei-yoshino [kind of cherry tree]
  25.
  26. Ripples call out to each other like that in the gap of time
  27. An entrusted will and a grudge cut off
  28. Even though [I'm] unable to return or change in any way
  29. To the clear sky that chirps if you call out to it
  30.
  31. As I abandon the arare [small hail] or hyou [large hail]
  32. Plants thrive in the fields, mountains, and ocean
  33. I know not time or [my] heart
  34. Come now come now, [let's] go see the sky
  35.
  36. The flower strains itself [to say] its faint wishes
  37. That will not be granted and pour down like rain
  38. Holding on to the exchanged promise
  39. ["straining oneself to say something" (furishiboru) and "pouring down like rain" (furishikiru) sound very similar in Japanese, so these seem like they were mainly chosen for how they sound]
  40.
  41. Rather than lamenting the ending days
  42. Rather than grieving over the hot summer, see
  43. The glorious visage
  44. Of wildly blooming flower petals
  45.
  46. Even an unpredictable fate
  47. Even a fleeting, faint moment
  48. Wildly blooming flower petals
  49. And the morning star held high, someday in that place
  50.
  51. At the destination you searched for and seeked
  52. The sunshine pours down -- the cherry blossoms dance
  53. Even though you have (you lost)
  54. No way of knowing (you don't know)
  55. The pink swirls about
  56.
  57. If the dark night isn't dark
  58. If the cold winter isn't cold, see
  59. Wildly blooming flower petals
  60. And a vivid moment
  61.
  62. Even an unpredictable fate
  63. If it's a pink somei-yoshino
  64. It can surely even negate the shadow
  65. Of wildly blooming flower petals, in that place
  66.
  67.
  68.
  69. [Lyrics to Sakura Sakura]
  70. Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms,
  71. In fields, mountains and villages
  72. As far as the eye can see.
  73. Is it mist, or clouds?
  74. Fragrant in the morning sun.
  75. Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms,
  76. Flowers in full bloom.
  77.
  78. Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms,
  79. Across the spring sky,
  80. As far as the eye can see.
  81. Is it mist, or clouds?
  82. Fragrant in the air.
  83. Come now, come now,
  84. Let's go and see them!
