- I agree. Patriotism concerns the well being of the country. People conflate it with nationalism

- Factionalism instead of well-being of the country is detailed as the primary threat to the republic.
- You'll notice the id of the GOP is factionalism.
- Which is why I, and all the Framers, (would) describe them as cancer.
