- Rosenkrantz_GM IT IS THE 41ST MILLENNIUM...
- Rosenkrantz_GM The material value of the relics isn't a fraction of their actual worth, as Father Calvin has extensively explained. If what his findings appear to demonstrate are true, the artifacts that once belonged to the missionary Nicomedes Keefe could take you to the final resting place of St. Cognatius. For Creed of Profit, there is much to sway you to follow this lead.
- Rosenkrantz_GM Each of you has reasons, individually 'ranked' by importance to you for wishing to take on this adventure, and even Wilhelm does nothing to conceal his own deep interest in the opportunity that has presented itself. Utterly unsatisfied by the quality of food and ambience of Footfall, Wilhelm has hosted you all onboard his flagship's Palace for dinner, where you now discuss this.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "And tell me, Father, how much support could we expect from the Ecclesiarchy should we make this discovery known? Our colonization efforts on the world of Faith will need to begin with a Mission carefully bringing the native population together."
- Makh_Chomun busies himself in enjoying a much missed novelty of cooking from Wilhelm's personal cook. If there's one thing he missed from the Aurorae it's definitely the Captain's dinners.
- Calvin_Colonel places a glass down and gingerly wipes his fingers
- Calvin_Colonel "It would grant us much leverage, including material support.
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz listens intently
- Calvin_Colonel "Assuming, of course, that we are successful. Which we shall be. We are effectively reviving a dead aspect of the Faith. On par, perhaps, with the rediscovery of an STC fragment for the Mechanicus."
- Baine_Mort sits there enjoying the meal and drinking some wine.
- Josef sits quietly and prays to the Machine Spirit. He lights a candle and places it on top of his Servo Skull 'Snitches'. Snitches makes a slight humming noise with loud beeps periodically as it slowly hovers around the room.
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "And would the Ecclesiarchy feel about us taking the profits for ourselves?"
- Rosenkrantz_GM "Incredible... absolutely incredible. At a time when we most need the backing of the Ecclesiarchy, this opportunity presents itself... along with your expertise, Father. Surely, a sign of the Emperor's favor."
- Calvin_Colonel frowns
- Vivian seems to be drifting off into thought, holding a glass of wine while staring at her meal. Thoughts rolling through, her face twisted in a look of pure thought. "..It almost seems too good to be true. I feel like there should be a huge catch."
- Calvin_Colonel "That would waste much of the favor we would acquire.
- Calvin_Colonel turns to the senior Rosenkrantz
- Calvin_Colonel "Precisely! Keefe was much like yourself and your House in many ways, sir."
- Makh_Chomun "The Emperor provides and protects." Makh intones as he finishes his current plate. Washing it down with a glass of amasec before wiping his mouth with one of those fancy napkins.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "Oh? How fascinating. Do tell me more, Father."
- Calvin_Colonel "A multifaceted genius forced from his home, allied with groups he scarcely knew existed... He plied the Expanse, sometimes in the entourage of a Rogue Trader, always spreading the Creed and acquiring more allies and resources for himself. In a way, his journeys were his way of redeeming himself and his family name - while once powerful, it had languished to a certain degree due to intrigues."
- Rosenkrantz_GM "No such thing as coincidence, Father. The Emperor speaks to us," Wilhelm nods, filling his glass.
- Calvin_Colonel "Indeed. Which is why I so serendipitously joined your nephew's crew, I believe. Emperor willing, we shall finish what Keefe started and work towards restoring your Dynasty's glory at the same time."
- Rosenkrantz_GM "I am convinced that this would elevate the Dynasty in the Koronus Expanse, and even in the eyes of those back on Calixis. Many are those who would wish to see this family fail."
- Calvin_Colonel "One of our first stops should be at the monasteries of the Order of the Hammer, on Foulstone. They are the descendants of Keefe's most devout followers."
- Calvin_Colonel "Perhaps we may even convince them to retrieve Piety's Charge, his archaeotech hammer."
- Rosenkrantz_GM The table is cleared by attending servants, and the round of desserts arrives. Anyone with a mind for numbers can see that the expense required to have such a wide selection would hardly be justified for even a planetary governor. But Wilhelm is all about the finer things in life... whether the Dynastic Ledger groans to keep these standards or not.
- Calvin_Colonel takes a heavily spiced dish
- Vivian "Oh..! My favorite..! Wilhelm, you spoil me!", she'd gush in delight to the arrival of dessert.
- Makh_Chomun rubs his hands like a giddy child. An amusing sight given Makh's size and fine clothing.
- Calvin_Colonel "Well, gentlemen? What do you think? We will all need your expertise if we are to succeed here."
- Rosenkrantz_GM "There is one matter which I do wish to bring to your attention, Friedrich," Wilhelm turns slightly to face his nephew.
- Makh_Chomun The Arch-Militant pauses his genocide of all the sweeter things in life to answer. "I am for whatever will benefit Wilhelm and the dynasty the most. If it also brings the Emperor's light to darker places that's quite a bonus."
- Calvin_Colonel "I appreciate your faith, Arch-Militant, but my question was more as to what sort of methods or strategies you had in mind."
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "What is that Uncle?"
- Makh_Chomun "Asking the wrong guy then, unless it's pertaining to wet work or brute force."
- Josef enjoys the nutrient paste he requested. Packaged and sealed by the Adeptus Mechanicus Food Processing Factories.
- Calvin_Colonel "We may very well need to use brute force. Blood is the Emperor's Sacrament, after all. But you are right, we do not know what sort of enemies we will be facing yet."
- Baine_Mort "I second that notion that what ever is profitable for the dynasty is the best course of action."
- Rosenkrantz_GM "The good Missionary will correct me where I err, but I understand that Ksi Ascendant, where we believe the Saint's resting place to be, is in the vecinity of the Corpse Stars, the Alenic Depths, and even the Rifts of Hetacon. These are feared spans of the void, and voidsmen are creatures of superstition. You must be cautious of threats from without, and within."
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "I have the good Missionary to help me quell their worries with faith."
- Rosenkrantz_GM Wilhelm nods, locking eyes with Calvin for a moment.
- Calvin_Colonel raises an eyebrow
- Vivian relaxes back in her chair, crossing her legs as she'd idly pop a cherry into her mouth. Stem and all. Staying quiet, she'd idly watch the others for now.
- Vivian briefly pauses, before bringing her hand up to grasp at her throat, ending up in a coughing fit, to her embarrassment.
- Rosenkrantz_GM Wilhelm looks to his side, eyebrow raised. He slowly turns back to the rest, and starts with a new thought "I will burden you with distractions for no longer than strictly necessary. You will have with you whatever resources you require for your adventure. The /Aurorae/ and I will settle things here with Moross, tow the /Wrath of Igneus/ into the Breaking Yards, and head for Scintilla."
- Baine_Mort looks at Vivian, "You ok?"
- Josef "You seem to be choking, Lady Vivian."
- Josef "Do you need assistance?"
- Vivian gave a brief and short nod.
- Josef tries to use his Mechadendrite to remove the blockage, but the Lady keeps moving.
- Vivian would NOT let that damned mechadendrite near her face.
- Baine_Mort get up from his seat seeing Josef failing at removing the blockage from Vivian and pat her on the back hard.
- Rosenkrantz_GM Wilhelm rises to his feet, downs the contents of his cup, and plants the empty glassware back on the table. "I appear to have lost my appetite."
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Very well, we shall commence the journey to the monastery."
- Josef "Well, this was my entertainment for this evening."
- Rosenkrantz_GM "If you have any requests for cargo or crew transfers, pass them on to Master Olga on the bridge, Captain," Wilhelm, formally addresses his nephew, before he makes for the exit.
- Vivian thankfully would be saved by Mort's more conventional thinking. Cupping a napkin over her mouth, she'd shake her head and then clean herself. "Hrmph.. Thank you, Mort. Josef." Though as she said Josef's name, her voice dripped with a chilled tone. Seems someone was not happy. Without any other words, she'd turn and leave the table, already thoroughly embarrassed as it was.
- Josef returns to his sit and connects to his servo-skull to relay some basic procedures.
- Vivian mutters something quietly under her breath as she left.
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz looks to Makh and shakes his head, before standing and heading to the bridge
- Makh_Chomun "My compliments to the chef," he says to one of the servants. He stops by the officers club on his way back to the Consequence for old time's sake. He isn't gone for more than an hour.
- Baine_Mort "No problem Vivian." Mort says.
- Vivian quietly sulks in her room.
- Rosenkrantz_GM =SKIPARINO=
- Rosenkrantz_GM The Consequence leaves the docking arm, and slowly drifts away from Footfall. The Emperor's macrostatue looks on, always gazing onto the void, and what will soon be his.
- Rosenkrantz_GM The Praeliator Aurorae remains docked with Footfall, the Raven on her prow now a symbol of the Dynasty's intervention... of the Dynasty's presence in the Expanse.
- Calvin_Colonel +O most High and Holy Emperor, I see Your light and feel Your presence, Keep me safe from the void and vacuum, And see me home to the fields of our next Duty.+
- Rosenkrantz_GM The final hail from the Praeliator comes and goes. Formal chatter, but with the undertones of familial farewells between the bridge officers of both ships.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "Captain, the Navigators are inquiring about our next destination," Titus informs Friedrich.
- Baine_Mort stands at his station.
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "To the Monastery that Lord Colonel has informed us of."
- Josef continues his search into his favorite 'subject'
- Makh_Chomun hangs out on the bridge.
- Calvin_Colonel +Oh Emperor, Shield me from the maelstrom, prove this ship worthy of protecting Your flock, who bring Your word wherever they travel!+
- Rosenkrantz_GM The Warp transition klaxons sound on every deck.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "The navigators are ready, Captain"
- Makh_Chomun "I hate this part." Makh says as he finds a seat.
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Commence our Journey."
- Baine_Mort "Hold on to your butts." Mort comments.
- Rosenkrantz_GM Reality becomes warped, as though time and space themselves bend and stretch to impossible dimensions. Your senses become numb. Muted.
- Vivian hates traveling through the warp. So much so, she's locked herself up in her room, and is currently nursing a lho-stick and a bottle of wine.
- Josef going through his medical records and directories to discover the source of the problem.
- Makh_Chomun Over the course of the trip, Makh's zeal increases to such a degree that he considers himself more qualified than the sanctioned priests of the Imperial Creed. He spends practically every waking moment in the on-board temple. Doggedly approaching all who come in with the dogma of the word of the God-Emperor. He wears nothing but a robe and sandals, to better feel the warmth and light of the...
- Makh_Chomun ...Emperor and all the physical wonders of the materium.
- Calvin_Colonel spends the entirety of the warp travel either in his study or attending to services, as well as patrolling the ship with his repetant troopers
- Vivian sat upright in her bed, eyes wide. Rather than being in a drunken stupor, she was immediately humbled, only to become entirely at peace with the situation at hand. It wouldn't be long before she was practically glowing in a almost euphoric bliss. Feeling more whole and at ease than she had ever felt before.
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz Begins to give commands that seem to make no sense at all, words that have no context begin to spill from his mouth
- Josef stares at his cuts. They are twisting and manifesting into odd symbols formed from a mixture of blood, flesh, and metal.
- Josef is throw out of his office at great speeds while his cats naps on his desk.
- Vivian felt the sudden urge to do what she had never done as nearly as much as she could have- Go to service. Seeking out Calvin, she'd have a rather broad smile on her face. "My fellow brother..! How are you fairing today? I have such.. Such wonderful joys to share with you! Do you have a moment?"
- Josef "What is going on?"
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Titus!, Hermin Laughs groff snee!"
- Calvin_Colonel seems pleasantly surprised, but tired
- Calvin_Colonel "Certainly, my lady."
- Josef recognizes some of the marks as religious. He rushes to find the Confessor and seek some advice.
- Makh_Chomun Anyone entering the temple will hear Makh roaring out hymns, both in low gothic and Oblastian.
- Vivian immediately moves in and takes up Calvin's hands, gripping firmly in her excitement. "I've been blessed with visions, Father! The God-Emperor himself has visited me and blessed me with his visions! I swear it was so real- It couldn't have been anything else but a gift, right? He was so majestic..! I.. I don't know how I should feel, other than blessed!"
- Calvin_Colonel "I- Is that so? How-"
- Calvin_Colonel turns to look at Josef
- Calvin_Colonel "One at a time, please!"
- Josef "I require assistance!"
- Calvin_Colonel "Very well, to the Confessional Chamber."
- Calvin_Colonel motions for Holt to take Vivian somewhere private and have her wait a bit.
- Calvin_Colonel "Write down whatever she says. You still have that Autoquill, yes?"
- Calvin_Colonel brings Josef to the Confessional chamber
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "What is wrong with you people? Hurr Zer Nu wa.?"
- Calvin_Colonel "What ails you, brother?"
- Josef "Confessor, look at my flesh!"
- Baine_Mort makes his way to ships temple to find, Colonel he moves at a fast pace, sweat rolling down his face, as he enters the temple he then says "Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The WORDS that I speak Blurei sheriened gaullen ifgkan isstom! unto you I speak not of Myself, but the Father that dwells in Me, he does the works"
- Josef "These sores are unnatural. They appear on my body regardless of metal or biomatter."
- Vivian gladly shares all of the details of her visions with Holt- sparing no expense on detail to how she may have literally drank wine with the God Emperor himself.
- Baine_Mort his hands cant make it up to his mouth in time to stop him elf.
- Calvin_Colonel "By the Emperor! Stigmata!"
- Josef "Stigmata?"
- Calvin_Colonel reaches for a book and starts flipping through it "A sign of blessing, nothing to fear. It seems the Faith has taken hold of our crew."
- Calvin_Colonel "Yes. Marks of the Emperor. I am unsure of the theological implications for the Machine Cult. Perhaps a transcendence of flesh and machine."
- Rosenkrantz_GM Holt struggles to keep up with the spiritual needs of the crew, recruiting lesser priests to aid him.
- Calvin_Colonel "It is no mutation, never fear. I have studied this in detail."
- Baine_Mort sudden;y he starts again, "If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to the wholesome words, even the WORDS OF OUR LORD EMPEROR No quod percipit adversarium vis, ei primis aliquip corrumpit mei., and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; he is proud, knowing nothing."
- Baine_Mort drops to his knees, "Some one help me........"
- Makh_Chomun "AND HEAR ME, FOR MAN'S SIN IS NOT HIS OWN, BUT IS TAKEN UNTO THE EMPEROR AND HIS HOLY ANGEL'S. THE GREAT LIGHT OF HIS ILLUMINATION SPREADS ACROSS THE STARS BANISHING THE GREAT DARK TO THE EDGES OF OBLIVION." Makh rants in the background.
- Josef "Okay. I believe we have bigger problems now. Confessor."
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz +Attention crew, Swash near though sheesh.+
- Baine_Mort "For they heard them Ei mutat dignissim temporibus mea. Sit dolorum commune neglegentur speak with tongues, and magnify Emperor."
- Rosenkrantz_GM The Temple-Shrine soon becomes overwhelmed. Prayer groups are organized on every deck, with quadi-chapels set up to provide for the new demand in spiritual guidance among the crew.
- Calvin_Colonel "Yes... While I appreciate the faith, this is overwhelming. Is the machine priesthood affected this way?"
- Josef visibly confused by Colonel's statement, a rare slight amongTechpriests.
- Baine_Mort crawls up to Colonel and grabs him, "Save me. or else I'll..... And when Paul had laid his hands upon them Vis at iudicabit mediocritatem , the Emperor came on them, and they spoke with tongues Vel lorem erroribus assentior ut , and prophesied"
- Calvin_Colonel "How did you get in here?"
- Calvin_Colonel "I will help you. Unhand me!"
- Calvin_Colonel "And make 15 prayers of St. Drusus' Benediction for breaking my Confession chamber's door!"
- Baine_Mort lets go of Colonel.
- Rosenkrantz_GM Claudius, the Missionary's bodyguard escorts the Master of Ordance to the waiting chamber.
- Calvin_Colonel dusts himself off and marches to the pulpit of the temple
- Calvin_Colonel activates his Laud Hailer "FLOCK OF THE CONSQUENCE, HEAR ME!"
- Rosenkrantz_GM The mob of faithful turn, attentively.
- Vivian shushes herself, blinking a bit. Then she finally noticed- Wait. Why was all the other crewmembers so upset?
- Josef "I will simple observe and assist whenever I can." His speech getting slower and slower as he realizes he is bleeding a mix of oil and blood from his hands.
- Rosenkrantz_GM They listen for what wisdom may come.
- Baine_Mort looks at Makh "Knock me out Detraxit perpetua an per, sanctus adipisci in has. oh Emperor. "
- Calvin_Colonel "The Emperor and St. Cognatius have made clear signs of their favor over this most sacred endeavor in which we are now committed!"
- Josef "Do not panic, the God Machine is with us. DO not panic." Josef believes he is thinking these words, but in reality is loudly saying it in a monotone voice.
- Rosenkrantz_GM It is as diverse a crowd as has ever been addressed in the Temple-shrine. Yet all stand in wait, equals under the Emperor's gaze, trying to make sense of his gifts.
- Calvin_Colonel "However, your fervor has turned to irrational and undirected ways! While it is true that the guidance of the Ecclesiarchy is necessary for all of the Emperor's faithful, you are straining us! Do you not know that the Emperor is already within you all? Do you not know that He guided you before just as He does now?"
- Calvin_Colonel "Calm yourselves, at least for now. There will be plenty of opportunities to put such righteous fervor to use, but now, we all require quiet contemplation and examination of these signs. Let us commence a quiet prayer, and let peace into our souls."
- Calvin_Colonel begins singing a tranquil, subdued hymn
- Rosenkrantz_GM They are unflinching. Some even collapse from exhaustion where they once stood. The rest lower their heads and commence a prayer.
- Josef makes the sign of the Omnissiah and follows the Confessor's lead.
- Rosenkrantz_GM The exercise proves effective in calming the faithful. They are able to become at ease with their various symptoms of the Emperor's favor. Slowly, some make the sign of the aquila and make their way back to their stations, a sense of serenity about them.
- Rosenkrantz_GM By the end of the journey, only the mildest forms of these 'gifts' manifest any longer.
- Rosenkrantz_GM By the last day, all is back to normal. "Captain, the navigators are reporting warp translation into real space at any moment. We will be emerging on the outskirts of Foulstone."
- Calvin_Colonel approaches Vivian before warp transit ends. "Now, tell me more of this vision you had."
- Makh_Chomun is quietly recovering from a lost voice and a severe migraine in his quarters.
- Vivian blinked as she stared blankly at Calvin. "...What on earth are you talking about?"
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Good."
- Calvin_Colonel facepalms
- Calvin_Colonel "Nevermind."
- Baine_Mort returns from his quarters from rinsing out his mouth with mouth wash, Emperor be praised that I wont have to go through that again."
- Josef looks at his arms and inspects his body.
- Josef "I must return to my duties. Excuse me, my lords."
- Calvin_Colonel "Lord Captain, you are coherent once more."
- Rosenkrantz_GM Warp transit comes to an end rather abruptly, as though reality viciously snaps back into place.
- Calvin_Colonel scurries over to the nearest viewing port to see the world
- Calvin_Colonel "The Hand of the Emperor guides us all."
- Makh_Chomun "Emperor be praised." Makh rasps to himself in bed.
- Rosenkrantz_GM Foulstone is a Deadw World. No orbitals, no signs of civilization on the planet. No comms chatter.
- Rosenkrantz_GM Known to few, the main inhabitants of the planet are the Order of the Hammer.
- Rosenkrantz_GM Dedicated to preserving the legacy of Nicomedes Keefe, and fabled to hold the Hammer of Cognatius.
- Calvin_Colonel "Officially, the Order is not recognized nor sanctioned by the Ecclesiarchy."
- Rosenkrantz_GM "And yet we are to trust them?" Lieutenant Titus inquires with some skepticism.
- Calvin_Colonel "Recognized or not, they are faithful. They also know the life of Keefe better than any, and most likely possess much in the way of lore and relics that will be vital to our endeavor."
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "We are in need of information they might have." he says cementing the issue
- Rosenkrantz_GM "We will be in close orbit soon," Titus says staring at a holo display in lieu of an 'Aye, Captain'.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "No comms chatter" he repeats, as though emphasizing some obscure point about the nature of the planet's inhabitants.
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "When will we be able travel out?"
- Rosenkrantz_GM "Shuttle bay is being prepared now."
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz nods
- Rosenkrantz_GM "Will there be a show of force, Captain? How many craft should be prepared for a landing party?"
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Let us go few in number, but have a few house guard accompany us."
- Calvin_Colonel nods
- Rosenkrantz_GM "A gun-cutter will be waiting for you on the bay."
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Let us head out."
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz begins to make his way to the bay
- Makh_Chomun meets with the rest of the party inside the gun-cutter. He's rather subdued, still recovering from his zealous escapades on the way to this system.
- Calvin_Colonel gathers some of his high-ranking clerics and makes his way to the bay, relics born openly and proudly
- Rosenkrantz_GM The transport-modified cutter is large enough to accomodate you all comfortably enough. Soon, you descend onto the planet.
- Rosenkrantz_GM The features are striking. Dark... as though obsidian rock formations had grown out from the hellish inner core, to cover what was once a populated planet.
- Rosenkrantz_GM As you descend, below cloud cover, you see hardly any plant life, save in small clumps, perhaps near sources of water.
- Rosenkrantz_GM But where the Order of the Hammer makes its home, it is clear that considerable effort has gone into subsistence farming. A minimal, but essential population of Grox are also used for transportation, plowing, and perhaps even food.
- Rosenkrantz_GM The structures all follow the style of old ecclesiastic monasteries.
- Rosenkrantz_GM For a place with so little in the way of technology, your arrival barely seems to catch their attention.
- Rosenkrantz_GM Indeed, it seems visits from outsiders are commonplace to the monks.
- Rosenkrantz_GM The gun-cutter makes its landing, and the rampdoor lowers.
- Rosenkrantz_GM The atmosphere is uncomfortably acidic, and your nostrils protest at this almost immediately.
- Rosenkrantz_GM Somewhere distant, you hear the melodic chants of a choir, accented by the metalic clang of a belltower.
- Baine_Mort put on his helmet.
- Calvin_Colonel strides out towards the entrance
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz Walks down the rampdoor, wincing a the smeel around him
- Baine_Mort follows Friedrich
- Makh_Chomun flares his nostrils as he descends down the ramp. He takes a sip from an oversized thermos of tea as he follows along.
- Makh_Chomun "Really clears up the nose, oh yeah."
- Josef follows the group and commands his servo-skull to start recording.
- Vivian is simply tailing behind, silent as ever. Almost as if she wasn't even there.
- Rosenkrantz_GM You pass by a small terrace where carefully tended vegetation forms a square. Children and young adults train with their master. Meticulous martial training, copying his movements.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "Welcome, pilgrims," an old bearded man in a humble habit approaches you.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "Your master is wise and generous to bring you here," he says, apparently referring to Colonel as the leader of your group.
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz coughs at this
- Calvin_Colonel "Hail, friend. Our master would be the Lord Captain here, second only to the Emperor, of course."
- Vivian gave a low chortle.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "Oh?" the old man eyes Friedrich up and down. Twice.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "I see... I see."
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "I am Captain Friedrich Rosenkrantz."
- Josef makes the sign of the machine god and waits.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "Father-Congregant Umnius," he says with a short bow of the head.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "You bring gifts to glorify Nicomedes' work?" Umnius looks back at the relics you have brought.
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Father, we have some questions regard the Missionary you base your practice on."
- Rosenkrantz_GM The priest's eyes turn back to Friedrich, and he raises a finger professorially. "More than a missionary, young man."
- Rosenkrantz_GM He turns around, and walks for the largest of the temple structures.
- Calvin_Colonel "Yes, his retinue seeks to enlighten themselves on the glory of Keefe."
- Rosenkrantz_GM Between the wind, and the low tone of his voice, it's hard to hear him with his back towards you, "...reception of your donations, in no time at all."
- Rosenkrantz_GM Perhaps something about 'enlightenment' was said, too. In any case, it seems you're expected to follow him.
- Rosenkrantz_GM Younger members of the Order approach your group at the entrance, in bright white garb.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "As is custom, we will receive your gifts, that you may receive the wisdom of Nicomedes Keefe. Your enlightenment begins today."
- Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "What gifts do you require?"
- Rosenkrantz_GM The younger members look up at their master, confused.
- Makh_Chomun quirks an eyebrow.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "We live a humble existence, Friedrich. We do not ask for anything that would burden the eager pilgrim."
- Rosenkrantz_GM "From each, according to their station," his apprentices nod at this.
- Calvin_Colonel "To each, according to their needs."
- Calvin_Colonel "We have come into possession of some of the Missionary's personal effects."
- Rosenkrantz_GM He nods approvingly. The nod of old, earned wisdom.
- Calvin_Colonel produces the box
- Vivian quietly looks around, almost in a bored like manner.. As she did, she'd draw her chameleonline cloak to a close, hiding the synskin underneath. Looking to the rest of the group, she'd then check to see- Was anyone even looking her way? If not, she might just wander and scope out the area more.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "So I have identified, frater. Keefe has blessed you."
- Calvin_Colonel "So he has. We seek to continue his work, and, Emperor willing, finish it."
- Rosenkrantz_GM His eyes grow wide at the last two words.
- Rosenkrantz_GM "Oh?"
- Calvin_Colonel nods
- Calvin_Colonel "Could we speak in private?"
- Rosenkrantz_GM "Then you are here to see the Hammer." he waves his apprentices away.
- Calvin_Colonel "Yes, and to read his journals, with your permission. We received manifold portents from the Emperor on our journey here, but some things are still unclear."
- Rosenkrantz_GM "Then you may follow me. But know that the Order will not permit this without sanction from all Brothers in the conclave. You will have to make your case."
- Calvin_Colonel "Very well."
