「違う。向こうにいる日本人だ」
Sousuke: No. He’s referring to the Japanese person over there.

(A second Citizen appears.)

Citizen 2: Hey, you! You over there!

Saji: Me...?

「ああ、そうだ!
イレヴンに見られるとムカつくんだよ!」
Citizen 2: Yeah, you! Seeing Elevens pisses me off!

市民
「謝罪しろ、謝罪!
お前ら、頭下げんのが得意だろうが!」
Citizen: Apologize, why don’t you!? You guys are supposed to be good at bowing your head!

「なんなのよ、あの人たち…!」
Kaname: What the hell is with these people...!?

「よせ、千鳥。俺たちの任務を忘れたか」
Sousuke: Let it go, Chidori. Remember we’re on a mission.

Kaname: That doesn’t mean we can just overlook what they’re saying!

Kurz: Speaking as someone born and raised in Japan, this is downright infuriating. As a knight of justice, I can’t just keep quiet about this.

Meg: It feels like Japan and not like Japan at the same time.

Sousuke: Chidori was very upset as well.

「だが、異世界から来た我々には関係がない。
場違いの義侠心は身を滅ぼすぞ」
Natarle: But it’s irrelevant to us since we’re from a parallel world. Sticking our necks out for the sake of chivalry will just result in our destruction.

「とは言え、俺たちは日本どころか
この世界の三分の一以上を支配している
ブリタニアから敵視されてる」
Mu: You could say we’d be making an enemy of Britannia, who controls not just Japan, but one third of the entire world.

「[ミスリル]からの補給のおかげで
当面はなんとかなるが、元の世界へいつ戻れるか
わからない以上、ジリ貧になるのは必然だぜ」
Mu: The supplies that [Mithril] gave us have kept us going for now, but until we find a way to get back to our original world, our situation is only going to get worse.

Natarle: ...Are there any signs that Dido’s memory is returning?

「物資はどれぐらいもつんだ?」
Mu: How much supplies do we have left?

「つまり、孤立無援のまま行動するとしても、
限界があるってことだ」
Mu: Which means that what we can do on our own is very limited.

「少佐は何が仰りたいのです?」
Natarle: Just what are you suggesting, Lieutenant Commander?

「はっきり言おうか。
ブリタニアに対抗する勢力の協力がないと、
俺たちは生き残れない」
Mu: I’ll be blunt. Without the aid of anti-Britannian forces, we aren’t going to survive.

「現状で確認できている反ブリタニア勢力は、
[ソレスタルビーイング]と日本解放戦線みたいな
ゲリラ組織だね」
Mao: At present, the only anti-Britannian forces we could identify are Celestial Being and the Japan Liberation Front, which appears to be a guerilla organization.

「選択肢はふたつだ、艦長。
元の世界に戻れるまで、どこかに隠れ続けるか。
反ブリタニア勢力と接触して、その支援を受けるか」
Mu: We’ve got two choices, Captain. We stay hidden until we can go back to our original world, or we make contact with anti-Britannian forces and received support.

「後者を選べば、その代償として、
我々はこの世界の争いに加担することになります。
それは艦長にとっても不本意では?」
Natarle: If we choose the latter, the repercussion would be that we would then be involved in the conflict of this world. I believe you already expressed your reluctancy on this matter, Captain?

マリュー
「その通りですが…ブリタニアは思っていた以上の
巨大勢力だということがわかりました」
Murrue: That’s correct... But now I see that Britannia’s military strength exceeded my expectations.

「元の世界へ戻る手段が確立されておらず、
かつ単独行動に限界があるとなると……」
Murrue: With no known means of returning to our world, and with limited ability to act independently...

「リスクを覚悟の上で、
私たちとのパイプがあるゼロの協力を
仰ぐ必要があると思っています」
Murrue: I think we will need to take the risk and cooperate with Zero, the one we already have a connection to.

「何か裏があるのはわかっています。
だけど、諸々の状況を鑑みれば、
そう判断せざるを得ません」

Natarle: ...I would like to formally object to this matter as Executive Officer.

「わかりました。

「今、テレビを観ていたんだけど…
日本解放戦線が河口湖のコンベンション
センターホテルをジャックしたって」
Kallen: Just now, I was watching the TV and... They said the Japan Liberation Front took over the Lake Kawaguchi Convention Centre Hotel.

Zero: (Idiotic. Such a move won’t work against Britannia. Not while Cornelia is their opponent.)

Zero: They’re trying to show that they’re the greatest anti-Britannian force in Japan.

Zero: And Japan is the world’s leading producer of Sakuradite, providing 70% of its supply into the market.

Zero: That is why an assembly is held annually at the Lake Kawaguchi Convention Centre Hotel, to determine the international distribution rates of Sakuradite.

Zero: It’s no exaggeration to say that its outcome directly affects the power balance of Britannia and other foreign nations.

Zero: Now it would appear the Japan Liberation Front, lead by former Japanese army Lieutenant Colonel Kusakabe, aimed to take advantage of the huge interest in the assembly and dared to occupy the hotel.

Zero: And here is the footage of the hostages on screen.

「どうしたの?」
Mao: What is it?

「アッシュフォード学園の近くで見た顔がいる」
Sousuke: I’ve seen some of them before near Ashford Academy.

マオ
「ふん…女子供を人質にするなんて最低だね」
Mao: Hmph... Holding women and children hostage couldn’t be more despicable.

ムウ
「ゼロ、連中はあんたの知り合いじゃないのか?」
Mu: Zero, are you acquainted with them?

ゼロ
「いや。
彼らは日本最大の反ブリタニア勢力だが、
我々と思想が異なる」
Zero: No. They are the largest anti-Britannian force in Japan, but their ideology differs from ours.

マリュー
「…もしかして、
私たちに人質を救出しろと言うんですか?」
Murrue: ...And I am to assume that you would like us to rescue these hostages?

「その通りだ、艦長」
Zero: Exactly right, Captain.

「何故、そちらの戦力を使わない?」
Natarle: Why not use your own forces to do so?

ゼロ
「理由は3つある。
まず、強攻策を取れば、多くの血が流れる。
人質も犠牲になるだろう」
Zero: There are three reasons. First, if we were to take a direct approach, much blood would be spilt. The hostages would be sacrificed.

「ふたつ目の理由は、私の部下たちが
このような事態の対処にまだ慣れていないからだ」
Zero: The second reason is that my people are not yet experienced to deal with this type of situation.

クルツ
「俺たちだって、そうかもしれないぜ?」
Kurz: And you think that we are?

ゼロ
「そこの3人は、むしろプロだと見受けるが?」
Zero: From what I’ve seen, wouldn’t you say that the three of you are quite the professionals?

Sousuke: ...

マオ
「じゃ、最後の理由は?」
Mao: So, what’s your last reason?

ゼロ
「君たちが、今回の事件を
看過できる人間ではないからだ」
Zero: That you are not the kind of people that could overlook a situation like this.

マオ
「ハッ!
なら、人質救出をあたしたちにやらせようとする
あんたは何なのさ? 」
Mao: Ha! And just what kind of person are you to be so keen on having us rescue these hostages?

「…正義の味方、だ」
Zero: ...A knight of justice.

Meg: And so, we’re rescuing the hostages?

マオ
「そうだけど、全員で行くわけじゃないよ。
まずは、ゼロをホテルへエスコートするチーム…

Mao: Yeah, but we’re not all going in at once. First will be the escort team that gets Zero to the hotel... That’ll be me, Kurz, and Sousuke.

「M9やアーバレストの[ECS]を使えば、
日本解放戦線の目をかいくぐれるからね」
Mao: If we use the M9’s and Arbalest’s [ECS] we should be able to sneak in under the JLF’s nose.

「疑問。何故、ゼロがホテルへ?」
Rinalia: Conjecture. Why, Zero to hotel?

マオ
「連中のリーダーと直接会って、
人質救出の時間を稼ぐんだとさ」
Mao: He’s going to meet their leader face-to-face to buy time for the hostage extraction.

「あの人、囮になるつもりなんですか?」
Kira: He’s going to be a decoy?

メグ
「彼がホテルへ行ったって、
向こうのリーダーが会ってくれるかどうか…」
Meg: Even if he goes into the hotel, their leader might not see him though...

クルツ
「あいつは色んな意味で人気者だからな、会うと思うぜ。
日本人のレジスタンスなら、なおさらな」
Kurz: He’s a pretty popular guy for a lot of reasons, so I figure they’ll meet with him. Especially since it’s a Japanese resistance group.

「危険。そのまま人質」
Rinalia: Danger. Hostages, still in.

マオ
「そうなったら、自分で何とかするってさ」
Mao: He said if anything happens, he’ll do something about it.

メグ
「何とかって…
あの人、そんなに強いんですか?」
Meg: Do...something? Is he like, really strong or something?

クルツ
「格闘技の類いが得意なようには
見えねえけどな」
Kurz: He doesn’t really look like the kind of guy that’s skilled in martial arts.

マオ
「ま、最悪の場合は
あたしたちで対処するしかないね」
Mao: Well, if worse comes to worst, we’ll just have to deal with it ourselves.

キラ
「それで…僕らは何をすればいいんですか?」
Kira: So... What should the rest of us do?

マオ
「所属不明の戦力を装い…って、そのまんまだけど。
河口湖コンベンションセンターホテルを急襲して、
日本解放戦線の戦力を引きつけてもらう」
Mao: Pose as a force of unknown affiliation...is what he said. Then assault the Lake Kawaguchi Convention Centre Hotel and draw out the JLF forces.

マオ
「その間に、あたしたちが
ゼロをホテルへ連れて行くわ」
Mao: In the meantime, we’ll be getting Zero to the hotel itself.

メグ
「でも、河口湖の周辺にはブリタニア軍がいますよね?
彼らからも攻撃されることになるんじゃ…」
Meg: But the Britannian army is positioned around the outskirts of Lake Kawaguchi, right? We’ll just get attacked by them too...

マオ
「あたしたちには手を出さないよう、
ゼロが連中と交渉するってさ」
Mao: Zero said he’ll negotiate with them to prevent that from happening.

メグ
「えっ!?」
Meg: Huh!?

キラ
「あの人は、ブリタニアから
追われている身なんでしょう?」
Kira: But isn’t he wanted by Britannia?

メグ
「それで交渉ができるなんて…」
Meg: How is he supposed to negotiate with them...?

マオ
「人質の中にブリタニアのVIPがいるらしくてね、
連中は強攻策に打って出られない。
ゼロはそれを駆け引き材料にするってさ」
Mao: Apparently, there a Britannian VIP mixed in with the hostages, which is why they aren’t mounting a full-on assault. Zero says he’ll be able to use that as a bargaining chip.

クルツ
「自信はあるみたいだぜ。根拠はわからねえけど」
Kurz: He’s got a hell of a lot of confidence. I dunno where it all comes from.

マオ
「で、あたしたちが日本解放戦線の
ナイトメアフレームと戦ってる間に、
ゼロの部下がホテルへ侵入し、人質を救出する」
Mao: So, while we’re fighting off the JLF’s Knightmares, Zero’s people will be infiltrating the hotel and rescuing the hostages.

ディド
「その後は?」
Dido: And after that?

マオ
「全力で脱出よ」
Mao: We get the hell out of there.

メグ
「ゼロに都合良く利用されているだけのような
気がしますけど…」
Meg: It kind of feels like we’re just convenient tools for Zero...

マオ
「向こうはあたしたちの戦力を欲し、
こっちはこの世界の情報と物資を必要とする。
ギブ・アンド・テイクってやつよ」
Mao: He wants our fighting power, and we need his supplies and information. It’s give and take.

リナリア
「根本の疑問。ゼロを信用できる?」
Rinalia: Big conjecture. Zero, be trusted?

マオ
「裏があるのは百も承知。
だけど、あいつは高みの見物を決め込むんじゃなく、
体を張って人質を助けようとしてる」
Mao: He’s definitely got an ulterior motive. But he’s not just watching from afar acting high and mighty. He’s putting himself at risk to save the hostages.

マオ
「そこんとこは、信じられるわね」
Mao: So I can at least trust him on this.

(Scene begins on the map screen of the hotel. KMFs are stationed around the hotel. Mao, Kurz, and Sousuke are approaching from the main bridge with their mechs in stealth mode.)

Mao: ...We made it this far without any hiccups.

「この機体の不可視モードは、便利な代物だな」
Zero: The Invisibility Mode on this machine is quite a handy tool.

マオ
「と言っても、万能じゃないよ。
電力を食うから、このままじゃ戦えないしね」
Mao: Sure, but it’s not perfect. It guzzles energy and we can’t fight with it active.

Zero: And it would be ineffective in rain.

ブリタニアのVIPがいるってこと、
どうやって知ったんだ?」

Al: Warning. High energy heat source approaching. Based on collected data, it is Celestial Being’s Gundam.

Cornelia: This will buy us some time. Now we can focus on removing the linear cannon in the tunnel and make our way into the hotel.

Guilford: But, avoiding such firepower in a confined space is...

Lloyd: You’ve orders to charge right into that linear cannon in the tunnel!

Cecile: Lloyd! Doesn’t that mean they’re using him as a decoy to make an opening for them?

「うん。混乱に乗じて、親衛隊が突っ込むみた~い」
Lloyd: Yyyep. Seems like they’ll use the confusion to send in the royal guard.

Cecile: Seems like!? But they can’t—!

Suzaku: Miss Cecile, I’ll do it! Please allow me to do it!

「人質を助ける可能性があって、

Suzaku: If Lancelot and I are needed, and we’re able to give the hostages an opportunity to be saved, then I’ll do it!

相変わらずだな」

Kallen: Zero, we’ve secured a route to the exit.

「ならば、お前は先に脱出しろ。
友人たちに正体を知られるのは、まずいからな」
Zero: You go on ahead. It would be a problem if your friends discovered who you really were.

Kallen: Understood.

Ohgi: Zero, we’ve finished setting up.
