- The crowd cheered as Luke emerged victorious. He calmly picked up the ladder, climbing it up to retrieve the briefcase. He opened it triumphantly, expecting a wealthy reward, but all that sat in side the briefcase was a glass orb.
- He picked it up and asked, enraged, "Where's my damn money! I'm supposed to get paid!"
- He gripped onto the orb angrily, as it cracked in his grasp. The orb shattered as a purple smoke released from it, covering Luke entirely. When it subsided, the crowd gasped as Luke Cage was no longer there.
