  1. 塩っぱい拳の伝説 = Shiokaraiken no Densetsu = Legend of the Salty Fist
  2.
  3. New Easton, Connecticut is a city with a storied and interesting history. Being founded as a sort of smaller sister to New York City long ago, New Easton has since fallen from grace as a bustling metropolis to a somewhat inoffensive and awfully culturally diverse cityplace.
  4.
  5.
  6. Timeline of New Easton
  7. _______________________________
  8. In 1664 the city was established in honor of the Duke of Easton, a little-known bitter rival of the Duke of York who got sick of him trying to one-up everything he did. Tragically, the Duke of Easton perished shortly after New Easton's establishment due to the tragic opening ceremony of an ill-advised attempt to construct a building out of boulders and pickle extractors as a means of diverting attention from New York.
  9.
  10. In 1794 the city's name was briefly changed to "New Easshiddy" due to "Easton" inadvertently becoming a popular slang term for a woman's heels doused in butter, just about the most depraved act possible at the time.
  11.
  12. Later that very same 1794 the name was changed to "New Eawhathaveyouguvna" due to unintentionally sharing a name with a popular rock band (Back then called "Ringy Dingy Hullabaloo Caterwaulers") who demanded about 5 dollars in royalties.
  13.
  14. In 1804 the name was changed back to New Easton due to the heel-slathering practice being entirely forgotten after Napoleon tried to cash in on it. It's said this backlash led to the death of thousands.
  15.
  16. In 1900 New Easton slowly began to catch up to it's bigger brother in terms of economical importance, mostly due to the unforeseen popularity of high-quality drink coasters.
  17.
  18. In 1951, New Easton left a large enough mark on the world to be host to the world's first annual Legendary Battle Circuit USA. However, it never concluded due to a freak phenomenon where the tournament was overrun by a rabid seagull attack.
  19.
  20. In 1955, the first seeds of various underground black markets were buried, giving the city attention to various worldwide mafias.
  21.
  22. In 1979, the city became infamous for being the largest producer of a dangerous underground drug; an herb that greatly boosts physical ability with the side effects of delusions of being an immortal demon from hell as well as later growing grotesque and monstrous deformations that eventually kill the user. This drug ended up being abused by all the top contenders in the Fornikodian Tournament Circuit on Fornikodia island before the true extent of the side effects were known. Not a single member of the top 20 ended up surviving the tournament.
  23.
  24. In 1985 the city was ravaged by a sudden and incredibly destructive earthquake that knocked its economy back to nearly unrecoverable state. This allowed the international mafias running the underground black markets in New Easton to thrive further.
  25.
  26. In 1987, the power of the mafias culminated in an event known only as "Misfortune Mayhem." The successor of the largest gang in control of the city, a young man known as Jack Golion, singlehandedly killed his superiors and remaining family members to take full control of his organization. From there, he spent the family's budget to lock down the entire city and force its inhabitants to fight for their life in the USA's biggest fighting tournament, to free them from their "dead" lives in peace and luxury.
  27. Contrary to his expectations however, this just succeeded in getting the rival gangs mad, resulting in an all-out gang war that severly crippled the stranglehold the gangs held in the town due to all of them getting killed off. Even though Misfortune Mayhem resulted in relatively minimal civilian causalities, it didn't do much to help New Easton's reputation.
  28. Jack was eventually defeated by the tournament's "winner", Davis Boman, but his fate remains unknown to this day.
  29.
  30. In 1999, 12 years after the event, New Easton has returned back to its peaceful ways, but everything may not be as well as it seems...

  37. Holy Loly Square
  38. http://i.imgur.com/5PdUeJA.png
  39. The highest-class area in New Easton, Holy Loly Square has just about everything you need provided you have the funds for it. It's home to lavish entertainment, big business, and fine food. It hosts a weekly fighting tournament known as the Iron Runback, where lavish prizes are awarded to the winner.
  40.
  41. Holyday Park
  42. http://i.imgur.com/bsdz2KK.gif
  43. Situated right next to Holy Loly Square, Holyday park is one of the more popular tourist spots around. It's known for being a bit too ambitious for its own good, resulting in a variety of mishaps and malfunctions.
  44.
  45. Les Chenero
  46. http://i.imgur.com/OT8Xp3r.gif
  47. Feeling lucky? Les Chenero is New Easton's token casino-driven district. In the shadier parts of the area, it's also known to be a bit of a red light district filled with all sorts of lewd and dirty businesses to indulge in. It's one of the few places where marks of New Easton's gang-happy past still exist.
  48.
  49. High Vertby
  50. http://i.imgur.com/tpNmTaQ.jpg
  51. Once one of the more prosperous boroughs in New Easton, it was damaged and flooded beyond repair in the great earthquake of 1985. It's inhabitants have since accepted to make the best of what they have, and refurbished the place to better suit the now-aquatic groundings.
  52. Other than that, it's home to the Vertby mall, one of the larger shopping zones in the city.
  53.
  54. A Hard Place
  55. http://i.imgur.com/qdXvwbh.gif
  56. A bar & cafe that's the centerpiece of New Easton's music scene. It sees performers from all around the east coast, and attracts a rather diverse audience ranging from pretentious hipsters, troublemaking punks, the classy 1% from Holy Loly, and some straight-up weirdos.
  57.
  58. Wolfgang Way
  59. http://i.imgur.com/u9ISNuL.png
  60. A lower-class alley dead center of the city, its denizens retain an optimistic view on life despite the crime that pollutes the area on a near daily basis. It's also a rather popular spot for automobile enthusiasts, oddly enough.
  61.
  62. Rustlemania Street
  63. http://i.imgur.com/OAEZ3jV.gif
  64. Home to the city's biggest and baddest in martial arts entertainment, the Rustlemania arena is so big, it has an entire area named after it. Founded by famed wrestler James Russel after his retirement, the Rustlemania arena in New Easton is one of the city's biggest moneymakers. Due to being sports "entertainment" however, actual practicality is ditched in favor of flashiness and gimmicks.
  65.
  66. Wess Academy
  67. http://i.imgur.com/D8EvF6Z.jpg
  68. A rather small university neighborhood, Wess Academy is famous for its swim team.
  69.
  70. New Hope Road
  71. http://i.imgur.com/yTlmDRS.gif
  72. New Hope Road is anything but what its name suggests. Once a normal district, it became one of New Easton's poorest and most dangerous slums after the great earthquake. It was where most of the bloodshed took place during Misfortune Mayhem, and still attracts the city's biggest lowlives to this day.
  73.
  74. Chengdu Square
  75. http://i.imgur.com/klSRmXk.gif
  76. A small oriental county, its biggest draw is the Mizuumi Bath House, known for its top quality service. Otherwise it's mostly filled with convenience stores, pharmacies, and a few hobby shops.
  77.
  78. Hayabusa Ninja School USA
  79. http://i.imgur.com/wabSFF5.png
  80. An American offshoot of the Hayabusa clan's famous ninja academies in Japan, the students here train under a strict routine to breed only the finest in ninjas in america.
  81.
  82. Dragon's Maw Forest
  83. http://i.imgur.com/VXb4bjp.gif
  84. Named so because of reported sightings of a legendary humanoid "Dragon" that is said to roam around the forest. Also a popular spot for camping and scouting.
  85.
  86. Hinaboshi Girls School
  87. http://i.imgur.com/gTNmnj1.jpg
  88. An all-girls high school, known for its notoriously high standards. Despite its squeaky clean outer layer, there are rumors of some particularly violent goings-on in there...
  89.
  90. Hinaboshi Silent Library
  91. http://i.imgur.com/7hB13Eq.jpg
  92. Just a perfectly normal library with absolutely nothing suspicious to see at all.
  93.
  94. Rhymedime Beach
  95. http://i.imgur.com/eXMdtwL.jpg
  96. A rather lively place on the shores of the city, Rhymedime is often blasting loud reggae and hip hop music for its residents to boogie on down to.
  97.
  98. Chestnut Street
  99. http://i.imgur.com/kt6DqAe.jpg
  100. An oddly suburban-looking part of town, Chestnut Street is part comfy neighborhood, part lush park. Classic American values shine upon its people.
  101.
  102. Wang Chung Downtown
  103. http://i.imgur.com/2uZrqQ2.jpg
  104. A small district known for its various asian food establishments, among other distractions. It's a popular spot for young people and tourists to hang out at.
  105.
  106. Hydewall Cemetary
  107. http://i.imgur.com/4oz01N7.png
  108. Just as it says. For a cemetary, it tends to house some strange phenomena, with claims of ghosts and zombies being spotted. But strangest of all, a mysterious garbage truck will often roam by...
  109.
  110. Teppellin Way
  111. http://i.imgur.com/y9igJR6.png
  112. A rather slummy area, the place is crawling with punks looking to scam and trick any passers-by.
  113.
  114. Margorine Railway
  115. http://i.imgur.com/jlYFK9M.gif
  116. For one of New Easton's more prominent rail systems, it's not very well controlled. It seems there's always a fight a-brewin' down here in some way.
  117.
  118. Aku Cavern
  119. http://i.imgur.com/0fjDEwo.png
  120. A cave near the Dragon's Maw forest that absolutely reeks of evil. Some say it's the abandoned praying grounds of an ancient evil cult, and some say it isn't abandoned at all...
  121.
  122. TSST Military Field
  123. http://i.imgur.com/c11k5PP.gif
  124. Ever since Misfortune Mayhem, New Easton has been kept under tighter security lately, although not by much. One result of this is the establishment of the TSST Military Field, a holdout containing a boot camp and various anti-crime utilities.
  125.
  126. New Easton Detention Center
  127. http://i.imgur.com/w2pPQZT.gif
  128. Being the city that it is, the prison here is pretty expansive. It's split up into two districts, one for each gender, and is tiered into multiple underground levels, depending on the severity of the sentence.
  129.
  130. Delmort Harbor
  131. http://i.imgur.com/9SA7eYu.gif
  132. One of New Easton's more populous harbors. There seems to always be something destructive happening there for some reason.
  133.
  134. NEI TV Studio
  135. http://i.imgur.com/NeDaQ8v.jpg
  136. The studio where a variety of live action programming is produced, including the Range Ryder show, Super Robot Squadron, and Nights of our World. It seems the shows are a bit more real than one would expect...
  137.
  138. Bicknell Road
  139. http://i.imgur.com/MJrlYKD.gif
  140. Whatever remained of this place was completely wrecked in the earthquake. Nonetheless, there seems to still be some activity beating in this abandoned neighborhood...
  141.
  142. More stages to be added later...
  143.
  144. A RUNDOWN ON NEW EASTON'S MORE (IN)FAMOUS CITIZENS
  145. _______________________________________________
  146.
  147. Sister Rosa
  148. http://i.imgur.com/kuDTzVi.png
  149. As a young missionary volunteering at Santa Maria della Prosperita, Sister Rosa takes it upon herself to reform and uplift New Easton's downtrodden denizens. An otherwise pleasant and kind woman who does what she can to make the world a better place in the name of God, certain residents are absolutely terrified of her and will try their best to turn tail before she notices them. This is because she has some rather odd views on what exactly is the ideal for goodness, and has the uncanny ability to cause anyone who refuses it to suffer unrelenting, painful agony until they do.
  150.
  151. Sizzle Money
  152. http://i.imgur.com/V8HgOkr.png
  153. A world-famous rapper who makes his home up on his fancy blinged out pad near Rhymedime Beach. Word on the street is that he was rather fond of the days when mafiosos ruled the city, and is looking to bring those bright days back. This makes him a rather suspicious character among those that know him.
  154.
  155. Linne Andouillette
  156. http://i.imgur.com/XI0In12.jpg
  157. The current leader of New Easton's police force, Linne takes her job very seriously. Becoming the chief of police at age 19, she's incredibly effective at what she does, though she's more than a bit trigger happy. Willing to punish any suspected ne'er-do-well at the drop of a hat with her trusty revolver(which for some reason does as much damage as the average punch from a street fighter), she nonetheless has the city's best interests in mind.
  158.
  159. Penguin
  160. http://i.imgur.com/JDO9qak.jpg
  161. One of the more prominent crime modern mongerers in New Easton, Penguin is also Linne's bitter arch-enemy. Willing to lie, cheat, and steal her way to the top, she still acts like quite the gentlelady around strangers. Using a pistol not quite unlike Linne's, rumors abound that they may be related in some way. Her exact motivations for causing chaos in the streets is unknown, but she doesn't seem to be related to any of the previous mafias in New Easton.
  162.
  163. Stouffer
  164. http://i.imgur.com/hDBAxSJ.jpg
  165. The CEO of one of New Easton's first established family-operated businesses. The ritziest of the ritzy, she may as well have Holy Loly Square in the palm of her hand. While she has no history of doing anything particularly terrible, her eccentricity has caused many concerned citizens to question her sanity, and whether or not she's particularly safe.
  166.
  167. Mahha Biker
  168. http://i.imgur.com/A04W2sA.jpg
  169. New Easton's local caped crusader. Riding at lightning fast speeds on his famous Mahha Bike, Mahha Biker became a super-popular multimedia star as of late, leaving him with less time to properly clean up the streets of the city.
  170.
  171. Getsu
  172. http://i.imgur.com/oYhTIcY.gif
  173. A rather cranky priest that operates Chengdu Square's famous bath house, he particularly enjoys going on and on about various long-winded subjects, mainly complaining about today's youth and how honor is dead.
  174.
  175. The Crazy Bus
  176. A completely empty, damaged bus that drives around town all by itself in the dead of night. It's just about one of the most feared things in the city, named so due to bringing any would be ghost bus-ters to the brink of sanity, resulting in an incredibly painful mental state that can lasts for days, turning its victims to violently attack anything in sight.
  177.
  178.
  179. INTERESTING THINGS TO SEE
  180. _______________________________
  181.
  182. -At the dead of night, there have been sightings of an unusually tall figure roaming the streets. This shadowy figure seems to have a penchant for dishing out its own brand of justice.
  183.
  184. -Out of complete nowhere, there have recently been reports of girls comitting suicide for unknown reasons at the Hinaboshi Girl's School. So far 4 lives have been lost, and putting the school into a state of uneasiness.
  185.
  186. -Inside sources state that strange petrified corpses have been found around town, in unusually pristine condition. Any sightings of these corpses should immediately be presented to authorities
  187.
  188. -All instances of the british national anthem have been confiscated and destroyed by any means since 1997, and was immediately replaced with a new one. Nobody is quite sure what effect the old one had...
  189.
  190. -Punks with rollerblades and masks have been seen skating around town, causing all sorts of mischief. Exactly how this ragtag bunch came to be is unknown...
  191.
  192. -Strange noises have been coming from an abandoned house in Chengdu Square...
  193.
  194. -On the tunnel towards Shengdu, there have been reports of people leaving it as incredibly tired husks, as if all their energy has been sucked out. The exact cause is unknown.
  195.
  196. -There's an old, retired telephone tower off on the outskirts of Wolfgang Way. Rumor has it that a hermit lives in that tower for unknown reasons.
  197.
  198.
  199. Way, WAY more to be added later...
  200.
  201.
  202. THE PLOT
  203. ____________________________________
  204.
  205. Let's do something silly for this game.
  206. In this campaign, there is no large, overarching plot, and no ultimate goal. You're free to start however you want, and tackle anything in any order. There are multiple subplots to uncover, and many deep dark secrets of New Easton to find out for yourself.
  207.
  208. MISC
  209. _____________________________________
  210. -In terms of theme, this campaign is a good deal more grounded to reality than most other tirkian games. There are no elves or monster girls casually strolling around. This however doesn't mean there's none of the usual tirk-flavored weirdness though. Think somethig more among the lines of the Street Fighter or KoF universe.
  211. -The system for Fight! is a good deal more different than any other system we've played. It's a bit less random than d20 systems, and a good deal more tactical. So please, do add more descriptions and flavoring to your actions rather than just placing down rolls.
  212. -Since we're toying with a new system, especially one that has you rollign initiative every round, combat will be (technically) slower than usual. Really, don't be in a rush, just have fun with it.
  213. -Winners don't do demon herbs.
