  1. Modern-day equipment:
  2.
  3. Beretta XM9
  4.
  5. An experimental variant of the Italian Beretta 92FS semi-automatic pistol. Made in collaboration with KAC, (Knight's Armament Company) it's fitted with a sound suppressor and a slide-locking mechanism, which requires the pistol to be cocked before each shot. This mechanism renders each shot virtually silent at the cost of reduced firing speed. It is also fitted with a SureFire under-barrel flashlight. Differing from the original model however, is that it's been modified to fire darts containing various agents, such as paralytic.
  6. Held in a hip holster when not in use. The original Beretta 92FS replaced the M1911A1 as the standard sidearm for the United States Army in 1985.
  7. Holds 15+1 darts.
  8.
  9. Walther WA2000
  10.
  11. German semi-automatic sniper rifle. Originally commissioned as a highly specialized police sniper rifle, it didn't see much use, nor was it mass-produced, due to its high cost. Less than one hundred were ever made.
  12. The bullpup configuration makes it more portable than most sniper rifles, but users new to bullpup-configuration firearms may have a hard time reloading. Fitted with a standard-issue Schmidt & Bender scope, allowing zoom levels of 2.5 through 10 times.
  13. It is held in a pseudo-holster of sorts which is hung from the back of Kage's right shoulder, stretching down across the right side of his back.
  14. Holds 6+1 rounds of .300 Winchester Magnum.
  15.
  16. Combat knife
  17.
  18. Black-bladed combat knife with a half-serrated edge as well as a built-in stun prod on the back of the blade. The stun prod is activated by pressing and holding a button on the pommel. It is more often than not used along with Kage's XM9, in order to neutralize hostiles in close-quarters combat with ease.
  19. Its sheath is fastened to Kage's left thigh.
  20.
  21. Kukri
  22.
  23. Black-bladed kukri. Also known as a Gurkha knife, it is inwardly curved, providing a blade that doesn't require the user to tilt their wrist down in order to strike efficiently. Being a mass-produced, modernized variant, this model has seen wide-spread use.
  24. Its sheath is attached to the front of Kage's left-hand side shoulder and overarm with the edge facing outwards and the hilt facing down, in order to be able to hold it at the ready within a split second of drawing it.
  25. Attached to the sheath is a small metal shoulder pad, covering the top of Kage's shoulder
  26.
  27. Anklets
  28.
  29. Anklets with sharp metal spikes protruding from the bands covering the front of Kage's ankles. The rear part of each anklet has a spur on it. These anklets can be used in unarmed combat to deliver deadly front, heel, and axe kicks.
  30.
  31. Rebreather
  32.
  33. High-tech rebreather. Looking like a complex visor-less gas mask, it is equipped with two small side-tanks. One for back-up pressurized oxygen, and one for deoxygenated blood. When activated by the switch on the underside part of the outside, two flexible surgical needles are inserted into the user. The needle on the front siphons deoxygenated blood from the left innominate of the jugular, which then runs through tubes and membranes which oxygenate the blood by the user simply inhaling. The oxygenated blood then runs through the hollow straps, through the rear needle, and finally into a vertebral artery. When deactivated, the remaining deoxygenated blood is drained into its storage tank. A purge valve prevents carbondioxode build-up in the main chamber.
  34.
  35. Pouches
  36.
  37. Three pouches attached to the back of Kage's belt. The right-hand side pouch contains five spare magazines for his Beretta XM9, as well as two spare magazines for his WA2000. The middle pouch contains various medical items, ranging from basic items such as bandages, to more advanced items such as suture kits. The left-hand side pouch stores Kage's rebreather.
